The Oak Room at the Granville InnMother's Day BuffetThree of us went to the Mother's Day Buffet. I had not previously been here so was unsure what to expect. While the hot entree options seemed just a bit limited - the food was good and the service attentive. The desserts were fantastic. We spent a couple of hours between the lunch and dinner timeframe so we experienced a more lively atmosphere as well as a quiet subdued one. The service was excellent as was most of my meal. The cheese selection, fruit and crackers on the appetizer plate were very tasty. The Fedora Salad was very good. However, my cut of steak in the Steak Diane was tough and chewy. There was a very nice selection of salads, cheeses, fruit, hot and cold dishes and all were very fresh and well prepared. I would say this buffet is quality over quantity and there are plenty of things to choose from. All out a good experience. The drive from Dublin was well worth the trip and will be looking forward to our next visit. We came here to have a nice Dinner and thats what it was. The waitress was great and back in the kitchen where it all happens resulted in a well thought out presentation.
