My husband was here for a short period of his "summer" vacation (in November). I wanted him to relax and forget about wars. This stay and dinner at Table and Inn did it. Beautifully presented food, tranquil ambience, and very friendly staff.

We were there on Saturday night November 15th and it was very busy. Took a while for the server to get to us with menus. After that service was fantastic. Inn keeper stopped by to help us with wine selections and was most helpful. Was willing to give us tastes of anything she suggested or we asked about. We ended up going with her selections - a South African sparkling wine to start and a bottle of Pinot Noir from the North Fork with dinner. Both were excellent. We had the tuna tartare, the soup, swordfish and the duck and all were excellent. Loved the menu selections and we would definitely go back.

Our kids got us a gift certificate for my birthday to the North Fork Table & Inn because we have been meaning to go for some time. It was a delicious and memorable evening. The food was outstanding and the service was incredible. We opted for the 3 course prix fixe menu. I had the tuna tartare and my wife had the salmon for appetizers. Both were fresh and scrumptious. For our entrees we had the tile fish and the swordfish. These were prepared to perfection and very tasty. For dessert we had the sorbet sampler and the chocolate tart both of which were fantastic. Although the North Fork Table & Inn is about 60 miles from my home and about a 1 hour 20 minute drive, we will return without hesitation.

Our recent visit to the North Fork Inn & Table was perfect in every way. From our warm welcoming through dessert, we were delighted with a thoroughly charming meal. For our first course, the crudo and tuna tartare were outstanding. We moved on to the tilefish, pork, duck and swordfish, all delightfully prepared (although I especially liked the duck). We finished with a variety of desserts (donuts, coconut tapioca, choc caramel tart and crepes) and were so pleased I'm still dreaming about the entire meal! The room is warm and welcoming, the activity lends a pleasant hum to the room.

I love this place. The food has always been exceptional. The ambiance is comfortable, warm and welcoming. The owners are exceptional and treat you like family. For the most part the service is outstanding but if I had to pick one thing it would be how long it takes for someone to take a drink order. The focaccia makes up for it.

We had heard so much about the North Fork Table and Inn that we not only dined here but also booked a room for two nights--we thought we'd go all in on the full experience. Our dinner was very tasty, the service was top-notch, and the ambiance of the little inn is amazing. Still, the experience was definitely not all we had hoped for. My boyfriend's duck was well cooked, especially the skin, but a little too salty--and I love salt. My shepherd's pie needed a little something extra to cut through the two huge layers of gamey lamb meat. My pumpkin cheesecake could have used a little more sugar. I know it sounds like I have a myriad of complaints but we did truly enjoy the meal! We were just expecting perfection.

Very friendly (not too) and accomodating hosts and wait staff. Efficient but not intrusive service. Knowledgeable staff, Atmosphere relaxed, clean simple decor. Noise level when the dining area is full is not a problem. Dining offerings are varied and feature local fisheries, farms and vineyards. Recently we had perfectly dressed salad (local greens with fennel); lred pepper soup with top clam and bacon lardoons (totaly delicious). Then we shared the Grassfed beef dbl top round steak- perfectly cooked. Dessert: chocolate caramel tart (out of this world choc/caramel/crunchy w dolop of maple ice cream + chaser of choc/caramel in a shot glass) and caramelized apple tarte (4* from my husband!!) This is a great spot.

From start to finish, the prix-fixe tasting menu for lunch would be hard to beat. Certainly the best on the North Fork and probably Long Island. From the wonderful clam chowder to the lagniappe palate cleanser (including heavenly tapioca) and chocolate shuffle, with swordfish and beef in-between, each dish was garnished superbly with wonderful tastes in each bite. And the wine pairings for each course could not have been better matched. An anniversary treat for us.

Food was unbelievable. Wine list was solid. Could be slightly deeper. Service was mediocre. Lots of people standing around with no direction. The staff was young and needs more training. Had to ask twice for basic items. The rib eye we had was tasty but incorrectly carved and presented. Total bill for 4 with wine was 825. So not cheap for mixed service.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary last Saturday at North Fork Table and Inn. It was just wonderful from the moment we walked in the door. I had told them while confirming our reservation that it was our anniversary, so upon our arrival we were escorted to a table set with two large champagne flutes. Our server immediately came over and poured us each a big glass of champagne, on the house, and wished us a happy anniversary. The service continued to be impeccable throughout the evening. Courses were spaced just right, and we never felt pressured but always felt well attended. The food was magical. Everything was fresh, almost all local and gorgeously prepared. We will be back for our next special occasion.

This restaurant is seriously over-rated! Manhattanites beware of dying of visual and atmospheric boredom. We booked for 7pm through OpenTable receiving confirmation. We arrived to be blankly told that they were expecting us for 6.30pm then didn't seem to know what to do with us. Not a good start to what eventuated as a $354 check for two. Keen on pampering our palettes, we settled for the Tasting menu ($150pp) not the Prix Fixe (3 courses at $75pp). It was simply not worth twice the $. The meals were definitely adventurous and interesting, however, the plating up was appallingly executed. None of our meal pairs looked remotely similar by portion nor design. An oven baked flourless chocolate dessert to finish was delicious but not clever!

This is a cute restaurant with a New Englandy ambiance, quiet with a very mature crowd. Most of the food was excellent; the bread superb. However i was very turned off when I tried to order an extra side that belonged to another entree just to be able to taste different things. It was extra, not a substitute yet I was told NO. Because they were limited that evening. I don't think in the history of my dining I've ever heard this. That set w different tone for me and my date and even tho the food was surprisingly good, I won't return. I was also turned off by the manager/owner who went around asking how everyone's food was covered in tattoos and very poorly dressed. Did not fit the tone of the restaurant.

Food overall quite average. Chowder soup good, wife's salmon appetizer bland at best. Duck entree quite nice, desert (choc/carmel) = glorified candy bar. Wife's main (veal) nothing special, her desert (apple tart) VERY good. When half a meal falls flat it's hard to swallow a $230 bill. Felt physical relief to leave atmosphere, both my wife & I exhaled on our way out. I honestly don't mean this to sound extreme or mean. My experience won't be everyone's but i left tense and disappointed to have spent a decent amount (for us admittedly) on quite a average meal in an atmosphere that felt like a waiting room. My wife & I are far from most experienced foodies but have travelled & eaten enough to feel this was an over-priced, disappointing meal

As usual, the food is excellent. The choices cover many tastes. We found the last two times we ate there, the service was not up to the usual excellence that used to be. Many waitstaff looked but never made a move to table, unless we flagged one down. They did not seem to be as knowledgeable as to how food was prepared (fried-broiled etc) A long wait between main and dessert. Never asked to refill coffee/tea. Would come back not for the service, but the food.

We have been trying to get to this restaurant for several occasions and finally did for our anniversary. It couldn't have been a more perfect place A drink to start at a friendly small bar with a knowledgeable bartender who suggested some great choices for dinner. Once we were seated the food feast began. My husband had the duck which was the best he had ever had and I chose the zucchini and kale lasagna both were amazing . Service was friendly and most of all they have an amazing hostess who handled our surprise gift from our children with grace and style. Thanks for a perfect anniversary dinner!!!

Dinner was very good, but I had it in my head it was going to be AWESOME, so we were a little disappointed. For me-too many menu times had meat as a component-even several fish items had some type of pork as park of the dish-why? I am so tired of looking at a menu and there is one thing straight fish or straight veg. Having said that-the lasagna was one of the best things I have eaten (no noodles) and it was better without them. Beat salad was-good, but nothing extra. My husband's smoked salmon was excellent. The bread that came to the table was good-nothing special. My sea bass was again very good. The chocolate dessert was fine-the highlight was the gelato it came with and so we subbed in the cookies which ended us on a happy note!
