Overall experience was fine, not exceptional (especially for the price... there's better in boulder). Positive: mussels, mixed drinks, sirloin. Negative: well done salmon, poor use of veggies, bland potatoes, poor wine list - overall poor value of food for price paid.

I took a visiting friend from Chicago who eats at a lot of great places in the downtown Chicago Area. She loved this place!! We started with their wonderful lemon drop martinis, then onto a special stuffed poblano pepper for a starter. For entrees we had the lobster risoto, and the pan seared salmon, then finished with the flourless chocolate cake. Serve was excellent!! We will be back.

We had great wine and delicious food. The fresh salmon was delightful, and the lamb shank was excellent. It has a beautiful contemporary décor that open but warm and inviting. The waiters and the owner were friendly and we appreciated the great service. We were a little hesitant about driving out of the center of town, but it was a great choice. The neighborhood is new and trendy and a lot is happening there. And it was a very short drive. We will definitely come back!

My wife and I have dined at 4580 for some time and about 5 times since the new owner (James) took over. The chef and menu have not changed much, so the food experience is about the same as it was before. What has changed is the overall feel of the restaurant. The recent remodeling has transformed 4580 into a more intimate and pleasant dining experience. I would classify the menu at 4580 more as "down home" than as "foodie." So, if you are looking for fairly standard entrees prepared and presented well, 4580 is the place. Also, I like the emphasis on different types of wines, offered at reasonable prices. The wait staff is well trained and attentive, without being intrusive. We will continue to go to 4580 when we feel like comfort food.

We were visiting our son in Boulder and the three of us dined here for the first time. We found the food to be creative and reasonably-priced and served in a pleasant atmosphere. I had the bacon-wrapped dates and delicious blackened red trout with andouille sausage. Others had the ahi tuna and salmon and loved them. Service was friendly and very attentive. This place is a keeper!

We found the menu to be creative, but still very accessible and tasty. We want to go back another time and try all of the small plates. Service was very good with the owner delivering the wine choice. The advice on the wine pairing was appreciated. Only detractors were that the noise level on a Friday evening was a bit much for casual conversation. And parking was at a premium. I circled for 15 minutes looking for a spot on the street.

The North End has been my wife's and my go-to dinner place for several years. Recently, James Cimino, the new owner, completely did a complete renovation, and what had always been a delightful (and gluten-free friendly!) place for a relaxing and delicious dinner has become more elegant and charming, as well. I notice it's also become more popular, so make those reservations.

This place was a fave of mine before they closed it for renovation (which was totally not needed). Since reboot, it's just OK. Happily, they kept some old favorites from the previous menu, and the drinks are just as awesome as ever. And staff is wonderful--we were treated great, just like always. But food quality has suffered a bit--steak was chewy, nothing was hot enough, and their new duck dish is OK, but not worth the high price ($26). The place never had food issues before. The physical renovation has fixed some small layout issues, which is great, but the new decor is "colder"--less warm and welcoming, more generic. A shame after they went to all that trouble and expense. We'll give it another try in hopes they work out the food kinks.

Have been here many times, but this was the first since the restaurant remodeled. Brought my whole family while my parents were in town, so the crowd ran from 4 years old to 70. Everyone enjoyed the salads that we split as an appetizer, beet with goat cheese and pears with gorgonzola. Everyone found entrees, from pizza from the kid's menu, to duck duo for mom, salmon for grandpa, risotto for grandma. Dishes were tasty and satisfying, happy with the portion sizes. Dessert was Glacier ice cream for everyone, the passion fruit sorbet was the star, especially mixed with a scoop of vanilla. I have a lot of food sensitivities and allergies, it's hard to find a place where everyone is happy and can find something they like, and done well.

This is a very comfy place to go with friends or just as a couple. It's very attractive, with good food, without being stuffy. I had the short ribs with polenta and it was excellent. My husband had the seared tuna with daikon radish salad which he greatly enjoyed. Arugula/ pear salad appetizer very nice also; I asked for more dressing and it was provided rapidly. Our server, Grayson, was very attentive without being intrusive. The menu is varied enough for multiple tastes and not very different from the "old" 4580. Also, there is convenient parking just behind the restaurant. And the wines are great. Actually, never had a bad meal or drink there. I'd advise making reservations and going early, if possible.

My friend and I had birthdays within the last month. We planned to celebrate both at North End after the remodel and were not disappointed. The dining room is more intimate and the bar area seems better placed at street-side. Parents will appreciate that children can play in the courtyard within sight from the dining room. As always, the menu is innovative and the food and presentation were excellent.

The food was excellent. Everything was tasty and not just run of the mill. We tried the dates wrapped in bacon and honestly they were really good, despite being very rich.......so I ate only two to save room for dessert. Also, side note, I can't eat gluten and their gluten free options and notation of the menu are perfect. I knew exactly what I could get safely and had a very large selection. My wife and I are both gluten-free, and she cannot have cow dairy, as well. We love this romantic spot where we have a full range of menu options. It is difficult, however, to order anything besides the amazing burger! Soft gluten-free bun, 1/2 lb. burger smothered in aioli and goat cheese (yes, you can get regular also), lots of grilled onions, and fries to die for. We have also had a tasty trout dinner. The owner, James, always comes to visit and chat a bit, and the service is friendly. Plus - the kitchen is open to view yet quiet, which is fun for me, as I like to see how things are done. All in all, a great neighborhood restaurant.

We went there with our 21 month old daughter for Easter dinner. It was a pretty quiet place, so I got nervous when my daughter was a little loud; although she didn't really disturb anyone. I had the scallops, my husband had the lamb, and my daughter had the peas/cheese/pasta dish on the kids' menu (although she filled up on the greens and scallops from my plate). We also shared the strawberry tart for dessert. We finished every last drop of the food. It was very very good and just enough to fill you up.

The +++s: Very friendly upon entering and seating us. Entres were delicious. We had the succulent grilled sea scallops and their special, a perfectly cooked seared ahi tuna with mushrooms and vegetable sauce. Ample amount of food--just right. The 2 martini drinks are unusual and very good:lemon drop and agave. The ----s: Must have been 10 minutes to get our drinks, then had to remind the waiter to being the bread promised. Then another wait for bread which was dry and tasteless. The appetizer took about 20 minutes to come of a beet and arugula salad- no dressing on it or on the side although the server thought it was dressed. Not many diners to be that slow in service. A candle would add ambience and carpeting needed to absorb noise.
