A word from The NoMad
The NoMad is the second restaurant from Chef Daniel Humm and Restaurateur Will Guidara.

Inspired by the Chef's time spent throughout Switzerland, California, and New York City, the restaurant is rooted in the same traditions found at their critically-acclaimed, Michelin three-star rated Eleven Madison Park.

The restaurant has soaring interiors with a refined, yet approachable menu, featuring a thoughtfully-curated wine program celebrating the great wine regions of the world, alongside innovative and classically-focused cocktails.

We decided to keep having cocktails with dinner since we had started with them at the bar and I have to say that since we sat at the table the drinks were so watery and weak that it didn't make sense for the price... Better go with wine!"

  • "Chicken for two is good. Come here for the chicken for two. But seriously do not even think about taking that 6.30 and before reservation. The only people there are those of Greenwich CT or Jersey finishing up their very busy "day in the city" rushed to catch the Metro North to get them home by 10. Think wrinkled oversized blue shirts and khakis. Not a hip crowd. The crowd gets better by 8. But the chicken for two is not worth that 6.15 reservation."

  • "Didn't know what to expect but did recognize the reviews for the restaurant were pretty positive. We didn't try the popular chicken for two dish, but did see a lot of people ordering it. We shared the beef tartare appetizer, and it was amazing. Probably one of the best beef tartare I ever had. We were there for my cousin's birthday & she was pretty impressed and couldn't stop talking about how delicious and well paired the ingredients were. I'm allergic to seafood and the chef was able to accommodate and did not include the anchovies in the dish. I had the slow cooked carrot entree and my cousin had the beef dish. Both amazing and worth the price tag. The wait staff was very attentive and wasn't pushy when we didn't order drinks."

  • "I've been hearing good things about The NoMad and have always wanted to try it. When a couple of friends visited the City, we decided to go. The ambience was amazing! And the food was superb! The staff were actually also very pleasant and nice. Except for our server. We have observed that he was actually the only unpleasant server. He looked like he was being forced to work. So I'm giving it a 4 instead of a 5. Nonetheless, I'd go back to this restaurant!"

  • "This is why we, as a species, us fumbling nomads, go out in the world. In the hope of exploring the fantastic, the unforeseen and unimaginable, the highest merits of the technician, the craftsman and the artist. It doesn't happen often that utopia is found, but it was the night of this writer's experience. Within a few years, this place will be as on the map as Daniel, Le Bernardin, or, most recently, 11 Madison, Humm's entry into the stratosphere. For now, The Nomad's food is both classic and new, and immediately fits into a repertoire only a Jungian might decode. Go before the atmosphere of reaching fades, and it becomes, like all things mythic, a regurgitation of good intentions and muscle memory."

  • "This was one of the best meals we have ever had. However be sure to ask for the side room with the fireplace, as the main dining area sounded loud and energetic. We were sat and not hurried at all, with perfect cocktails. We had to go with the chicken they are known for and were not disappointed. I cannot wait to come back to NY and make this a part of our trip"

  • "We had an early seating so the restaurant was quiet when we arrived - and they seated us by ourselves in a corner (with 4 other empty tables), where it was pretty dark and occasionally staff would pop in behind the curtain area to talk/discuss, which we found a bit odd. Our actual server was fantastic, and went through the menu with us and gave suggestions. We had the egg appetizer, which was definitely the highlight of our meal. We also had the roast chicken for two. The table side presentation of the whole roasted chicken was a nice touch. The stuffing under the chicken skin was tasty, but we felt a tad underwhelmed by the overall chicken (and the dark meat dish) considering all the hype around it. Overall, it was still enjoyable."

  • "The food at the Nomad is good but the next to nonexistent waiter and his dismissive attitude was off putting. It took almost 40 minutes before our waiter, Faud took our order. That was one of the two times we saw him the 3.5 hours we were there. Throughout the night only the busboy and hostess came to check up on us. Our waiter came by to ask us if we wanted coffee, tea or dessert after we had finished coffee and dessert so when we asked for the check he just tossed it on the table. That is unacceptable behavior. The food was good and flavors nice and I recommend going but just avoid this terrible waiter at all costs."

  • "From the entrance leading up to the dining area, and to the bar, very impressive and cheeky, and the service was superb! The food, however, was a bit disappointing. The Tuna Tartar, the presentation was very nice, but the tartar itself, had no flavor. The Suckling Pig, the top was supposed to be crispy, but when it arrived, it was already soft, so it got to be a bit chewy."

  • "Came for a birthday dinner, but unfortunately underwhelmed. Room very dark. Noise level loud. Service inattentive. Wine list very pricey although did get good recommendation from sommelier. Fruits de Mer appetizer very small for the price. Chicken for 2 did not live up to the hype - they brought it out to the table & then took it back to be carved. There is no way the whole chicken returned to the table - maybe the downside of a hotel restaurant with a chicken sandwich on the room service menu and brunch/lunch menu. Long trek to bathrooms. Cocktails were good but should be for $16 & $17. My husband stopped to get a num pang sandwich on the way home after an unfulfilling meal. Had planned to go back to Eleven Madison Park but wouldn't bother"

  • "I've eaten at Nomad 3 times in past few months and each time found the service to be delightfully attentive, casually friendly and formal at the same time, with a real attention to the enjoyment of the diner. The food is extraordinary, every dish being a delicious combination of unusual flavors. The portions are small yet rich so I leave there feeling that I've had a marvelous, satisfying dinner without being overstuffed. I can truly say that The Nomad has become my favorite restaurant."

  • "The most special part of our meal was the delicious roasted chicken for two, which is brought to the table whole and then taken away and brought back to you carved. The taste was incredible! Best chicken dish anywhere. Our appetizers were very good too-all presented nicely. The service was perfect. The wine list was extensive and we drank a lovely Burgundy for less than $100. Be prepared for a lot of noise, though; music loud and tables close together. But, aside from that, it was a wonderful meal from our start with cocktails in the Library to the last bite of chicken."

And the crudite app is like a miniature garden, so cute! The only disappointment was the hamachi, chintzy and hidden under a pile of beets. Tiny blip on otherwise fine experience."

  • "We arrived fifteen minutes prior to our reservation time and we were asked to wait...not welcomed into the bar or it will just be a few minutes..rude host staff. When we were seated it took ten minutes fro our waiter to arrive. He was okay...not very attentive to our needs and forgot to refill beverages often. we flagged down bussers for refills on soda. The food was very good...service satff not up to par with the level of food here."

  • " Pasta and clams as first course and pork "flanc" as main both very , very good. As for service , it is very friendly but needs to be adjusted, too many people waltzing around. The wine has to arrive before the first course, it is elementary. Nevertheless I will certainly return. You feel like dressing up being in such a beautiful setting and unfortunately many slouches in flip flops and tank top. Damn it , you are going out spending $100 minimum on a meal, dress up !"

The chicken sandwich (ahem) was perfectly paired with just the right amount of truffle and foie gras. Drink service was a little slow, and there was a problem with the music repeating itself, but these were very minor concerns. Recommend it: 4.5 stars"

The warmly lit, deep wood-paneled, leather tufted, black-lace-trimmed rooms are as inviting as the most sensual bordello or gentlemen's club. The very professional and attractive staff treats you with the wit and knowledge that you are there to play. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu or the wine list. Order what you like, and then sit back savor every moment."

  • "We ordered the tagliolini, beef tartare, and egg starters to share. Tagliolini stellar, clams fat and juicy and fresh. Egg was also a stunner, so rounded and comforting and full-flavored in taste, but light in texture which was perfect for a starter. I'm not a tartare fan so I didn't have the beef. That actually was the only starter we (mainly my dining companions) didn't polish off, so I guess that's an indication. Mains : scallop - delicious and beautifully cooked. Pork - tad on dry side. Service was good - warm and unintrusive except for one guy (in the waistcoat) who kept interrupting to upsell us items in the menu, and got a bit sniffy and defensive when our replies weren't 100% attentive to him (we were locked in conversations!)."
