Wife and I were psyched to visit The NoMad for the first time for brunch. We ended up being less impressed than expected. While our food was uniformly superb, our dining experience was marred by occasionally slow and confusing service. Drink orders were taken quickly, but we waited over 20 minutes for them to arrive. Our main courses were also slow out of the kitchen (45 min). During the course of our meal, our waiter changed without informing us, leading to some confusion on orders. Overall not a bad experience, but we expected more.

Our dining experience exceeded every expectation. We were guided through the menu and even when a mishap of an entree we didn't order appeared at our table, we were told to just enjoy! Our server was knowledgeable and so pleasant and the food was superb…truly one of the best meals we have had as of late and we definitely keep a running list and make a point of exploring. The flavors and combination of ingredients were beyond outstanding. The chicken and the pig were definitely favorites as well as the white truffles over the pasta. Foie gras was delicate and wonderful as well as the robust flavors of the olives. Truly a memorable meal celebrating my birthday with my family!

My girlfriend and I absolutely loved the Nomad. We had a late dinner booked and arrived early so we grabbed a beer and a wine at the Library bar. A swanky, low lit double story library bar that made me feel I should have had a cigar and cognac in hand. I even took some pics to copy the look for my own study at home. We then had the most incredible meal which began with the White Truffle pasta (heaven on a plate) and ended with the Roast chicken, which was like an extravaganza on a plate. We were both too full to even contemplate dessert but I'm sure it would have been epic. A definite must for NYC!!!

Went here on Monday for brunch. Although the table spacing was quite narrow, this place has very nice ambiance to eat and talk. Ordered egg to start and roasted chicken for two. The food is absolutely great and the soft and tender chicken is a must-have. Excellent wine list with our waiter being very attentive. Planning to go back for dinner this time.

We grabbed a reservation last minute for dinner. We sat down at 5:30 sharp. It was a little quiet at first, but it became much more lively once the restaurant filled up. The service was very attentive without crowding the table, and was quick to provide information about the menu and suggestions when asked. Most importantly, the food was fantastic - the chicken for two was cooked perfectly! Obviously, it's a little pricey, but I thought it was worth every penny.

After many years of not seeing each other, a friend and I met here for brunch. The location is convenient and the setting is fabulous. We were almost an hour late, but we called and they still accommodated is even though they didn't have availability for another reservation. Sat is right away. The minute we sat down, we were handed a drink menu and the waiter introduced himself and so professional, yet not "stiff." I started with the slightly poached egg with cauliflower, cauliflower purée....I didn't think it could get any better until a staff member who saw we didn't have any bread left said, "you have to dip the bread. Whole new ball game." He was right! For an entree, I had the suckling pig. So tender it melted in my mouth, but had a crisp top. Perfection! The bf enjoyed all of his creations, especially the "collaborative beer." Dessert was choc ganache and amazing.A++

I'm sorry to say... food was very disappointing and it's not because we don't have the experience in fine dining. I live in the Napa Valley and dine in San Francisco and Napa Valley often. (I could recommend a few believe me!) My husband and I went to New York for our 50th wedding anniversary and the Nomad was recommended to us. I ordered a fish dish and my husband a lobster entrée. I will say the bartender made me the best brandy old fashion I have ever had so not all was lost. The entrée were very skimpy and the flavor... disappointing. Ambience was delightful, but I would not recommend it to any of my friends. Thank you, Marilyn Rohrer

I find Nomad to be the one of the best restaurants in NYC. Great wine list, great specialty drinks, and a unique grouping of beer. The appetizers are beautifully made and delicious. Loved the Salmon rilletes and the egg dish. The chicken for two is flat out stunning. I spend a significant amount of time dining in France and this restaurant competes with the best France has to offer. I really love Nomad.

This is a restaurant I would definitely come back to. Everything I ate was amazing - from the flatbread with dill and fingerling potatoes to dessert. For my first course, I had the slow poached egg - the combination of flavors was perfect. For our main course, we ordered the roast chicken for two. I was a little hesitant ordering chicken at a nice restaurant, but after that first bite, no regrets. If you come here, definitely order the chicken. For dessert, I recommend the milk and honey. It's sweet and a little salty and has lovely textures.

I was bemoaning the fact that I haven't had a restaurant meal (including a 3 Michelin starred restaurant in NY and a trip to France and Italy this summer) that left me delighted in ages, but my dinner here changed that. The food was outstanding (make sure to get the seafood tower!), great presentation, wonderful service. I can't believe I waited so long to come here...can't wait to go back. And for the quality I think it's a good value as well. Not cheap, but well worth it with the amount of care that goes into the food, and the attention to detail in the service.

Full disclosure--I have eaten at EMP under Daniel Humm 3 times and it is my favorite restaurant EVER. NoMad just isn't close enough. Maybe I expected too much but I was slightly underwhelmed. I loved the pumpkin app--great flavors especially with the citrus dressing. The duck dish was delicious but I really needed a steak knife for cutting the whole breast; it was a little "tough." My husband had the truly beautiful lobster dish but the lobster itself was short on flavor and very small. I really loved my Pimm's cup but when the cocktail is the real star of a dinner somethings less than perfect.

We ate at no mad and from other review recommendations we tried the chicken. It's an order for two so for one to try it we both had to have it. It was so good we decided we had to come back to try some other things on the menu so we returned a couple days later. This time we split an appetizer which was very good and I had the suckling pig, which was good but nothing like I expected or experienced in Madrid. My husband had the lobster which was such a small portion it was pathetic. He left hungry and $160 poorer. We should have stuck to the chicken.

This was my sixth visit to The NoMad and once again the experience was rewarding at every level. Brilliant and refined food without being pretentious or precious, excellent and welcoming service, and an enjoyable environment. One of my guests was a restaurant critic from California; he was thoroughly impressed. Even if you've been here and have ordered the now-famous chicken for two, go again sometime: at my table, one of the chicken preparations was quite different from that of a previous visit. Innovate, surprise, delight--that seems to be The NoMad's mission, which so far has been rigorously pursued and consistently achieved.

This was probably one of the best find dining experience my husband and I ever had. We absolutely loved the decor - it was very intimate, a little dark but great for a romantic dinner or even a dinner with friends. The people at the bar seem to enjoy their experience as much as we did! Very great energy, pretty full, the service was beyond Excellent (if I could give it more than 5 stars, I would!). All of the staff members who assisted us throughout the dinner were not only friendly but extremely professional, presentable, well-mannered and provided great good recommendations. Speaking of food, we absolutely LOVED the Roasted Chicken with the brioche and foie gras, as well as the sides that came with it. I would highly recommend The NoMad!

This was our second time at NoMad and once again the experience was phenomenal! There simply aren't enough superlatives to describe the stunning space, the warm and attentive, but not intrusive, service and the otherworldly food. My wife and I were thrilled with the experience when we dined at NoMad for my birthday in January, but we shied away from ordering the chicken for two at that time because we wanted to vary our meal as much as possible so that we would have a broad experience. This time however we had the chicken and if I may quote Shelly Duvall in "Annie Hall" I would have to say that it was truly TRANSPLENDENT!

My partner and I decided to have dinner here at the last minute, and could only nab a reservation for 11 PM. God, was it worth the wait! I arrived early to enjoy a cocktail in the bar (which was full of people, but not overwhelmingly crowded). The entire bar/restaurant area is beautifully decorated, elegant yet effortless. The food is positively superb. I had the suckling pig, and crispy skin atop the meat that practically melted in your mouth was perfectly accompanied by the greens and sweet apricots. My partner's beef was apparently some of the best he's ever had. And the dessert was perfection, warm apples with toffee cake and sage ice cream (this is one of those recipes that you dream of recreating at home). All in all, sublime!

The various dishes are creative and well prepared. The service is good without being officious. I was reluctant to try Nomad after my February visit to 11 Madison Park. 11 Madison park was 80% theatre and 20% food. The commentary with each presentation was silly. The food at Nomad is equally as good and the overall dining experience is superior to 11 Madison.
