A word from The NoMad
The NoMad is the second restaurant from Chef Daniel Humm and Restaurateur Will Guidara.

Inspired by the Chef's time spent throughout Switzerland, California, and New York City, the restaurant is rooted in the same traditions found at their critically-acclaimed, Michelin three-star rated Eleven Madison Park.

The restaurant has soaring interiors with a refined, yet approachable menu, featuring a thoughtfully-curated wine program celebrating the great wine regions of the world, alongside innovative and classically-focused cocktails.

We finished our wine in the library bar and thrilled to see a new bar/ eating area opened up with an entrance onto 28th St. Such a great find."

The cocktail list is outstanding, and after we asked about the ingredients in a particular drink, they gave us a copy of the recipe. NICE touch! The chicken sandwich was as great as its reputation and the pastries were wonderful as well (nutella croissant? yum!) Be sure to make reservations, it was very busy."

  • "Great find, tucked away in a boutique hotel, this restaurant is under the radar. Tables are spread apart, giving a feeling of privacy and intimacy not often found in NYC restaurants. Service was exceptional and plentiful, every need was anticipated. Great wine list with plenty of good value choices. Roast chicken for 2 with foie gras and truffles was phenomenal (rave reviews for the beef entree as well). Highly recommend this restaurant to foodies or a romantic evening out!"

  • "I had a great time at the Nomad the other night. It wasn't as high end feeling as I was expecting. It was a fun, lively, energetic place. We ordered the tuna tartare, the famous chicken for two, and the cheese board for dessert. We also drank an obscene amount of English Heat. Delicious and refreshing drink with a little kick. The tuna tartare was melt-in-your-mouth excellent. Perfect appetizer portion for two people. The chicken was excellent. It was rich and perfectly cooked. I'm not sure what happened to the rest of the chicken though. It definitely wasn't the entire chicken they presented, but it was filling enough and a pretty good price considering it is for two people. The cheese board was excellent as well."

The roast chicken for two is a real triumph and must, MUST be tasted.   • "First and foremost, the best service I have ever had in NYC. Maybe in my entire life. For every table there is 2+ people to help. The service here WOWed us and just alone on that it's a great place. The food was incredible. We had the chicken for 2 and like most of the reviews we totally agreed one of the best chicken meals we have ever had. The ambiance is very romantic and sultry but in a "hot spot" type of way. Very impressed with the food, ambiance and most of all the service. Our favourite restaurant from our trip to NYC. Will definitely be back."

  • "I've dined at the NoMad on many previous occasions and have never been disappointed. I have a gluten allergy and they are always very accommodating. They even have gluten free bread from the Everybody Eats bakery in Brooklyn. The egg with quinoa appetizer is a must try -- in fact, I order it every time I dine there. We tried the foie gras for the first time and were blown away. The pairing of flavors are impeccable. My boyfriend had the duck and enjoyed it very much. I had the suckling pig, which is usually a knock out. This time, it was a little dry, but still very flavorful and satisfying. Very notable wine list and an impressive selection of cocktails. Great for a date, business dinner, or special occasions."

  • "Enjoyed a beautiful dinner - we ordered the tuna tartare and hamachi for our appetizers (both fresh and amazing), and we also enjoyed the complementary warm bread which had chickpeas and rosemary. We couldn't go past the famous chicken for our main, and it did not disappoint. Dessert was the chocolate with malt ice cream - I can't even describe how good this is. Nomad was the perfect romantic meal - highly recommend - can't wait to go back!"

  • "Let me start off by saying, this is NYCity -- high prices for dining and leaving hungry. The food was good -- a well sauced scallops main course dish and an unusual lamb sausage fritter surrounding an olive small bite. But both together were the equivalent of eating an appetizer. Great atmosphere and a very friendly waiter from Belarus. The wine list was WAY overpriced for the obscure wines on it. The few I knew were 4/5 times the retail price."

We loved the main room but were meeting with someone for the first time and would have preferred the choice of a quieter area of the restaurant.The restaurant was terrific. Even more terrific was the assistance we received from the manager (tall with glasses) on duty that night (July 24). We were not happy with our initial table and he courteously and professionally moved us to a better location."

  • "It's cool and trendy. Very full of people. But the ambiance is very noise and the music is loud that you can't talk to each other. The strawberry salat is very good but the pork, pasta and the cheesecake were poor. The cheesecake was strange also."

  • "A colleague and I decided on a special summer treat. We went for lunch at The NoMad. This is not my first time. The food has been consistently good. The chef is a wizard at making vegetables the center of a meal. This time we went for the proteins, striped bass and duck. Both delicious. We decided to be adventurous and try the Finger Lakes Rose, which is part of The Gotham Project, "importing" barrel wines for use in high end restaurants. Surprisingly good. Service is attentive and unobtrusive. Servers are happy to provide information about how dishes are constructed. Be aware that this is not a cheap lunch. For that you can stand on line next door for a NoMad salad. The NoMad restaurant is definitely worth a trip."

We had to ask to be moved. Also the service was nonexistent. That was very disappointing and made for a stressful dinner."

  • "We've only been for brunch and drinks before (and it's always been excellent), so we decided to try the NoMad for my birthday dinner. We were not disappointed. We started with delicious Alfred Gratien rose champagne (compliments of the house, since it was a special occasion), and everything that followed was equally wonderful. I had the herb tagliolini with meyer lemon and clams, and Jer had the suckling pig with apricots. The dessert (called "milk & honey") was the perfect ending!"

  • "It is always bad when you have built something up in your head and finally get there and it seldom measures up to your expectations. I had looked forward to this for months. It was good but just not quite what I expected. I was not wild about the ambience and the Décor. A little dark and plush. Chairs not too comfortable. Food was good but not over the top good. Waiter was helpful. My wife did not like the dessert she had and waiter took it off the bill which was nice since she said very little."

  • " Sparkling water was poured and consumed freely and since it was in the type of bottles that indicated it was made on premises (as for example Ches Panisse and il Buco and others that we frequent and where it is complimentary) we assumed the same here, but we were charged $6 per bottle. When I mentioned that, I was told the price was on the menu. e food was okay with the salads being way over-priced and just okay."

  • "wanted to have dinner at The NoMad for a long time. finally got a reservation on a friday night, was seated at the end of the restaurant with view of a closed and draped window (and my wife thank God) Appetizers were small without taste for my tuna tartare 3 tiny pieces of tuna on a stick and 3 pieces on a cracker ,. A very spicy snow pea salad for my wife who could not eat it. Chicken for 2 at $82 + tax + tips = $110 was nauseous in a foie gras sauce that did not go very well with the chicken, and i am still looking for the chanterelles and all the accompaniment that was described on the menu.My advice: next time you want to go to The NoMad , stay home and go get a cook chicken from Eataly."

  • "We weren't impressed by the roast chicken for two. I make a better version at home although the presentation of the whole bird stuffed with fragrant herbs is quite beautiful. Once carved and presented, the actual chicken is over-embellished with a soggy skin, and the side dish of dark meat slathered with what tasted like an a la king sauce was just not tasty. The pea shoot salad and sprout salad were both light and delectable as were the desserts. I'd recommend going against the tide and passing up the chicken and just order what your palate would like. Overall I loved the restaurant and will return to make more adventurous choices."
