"Food & service was sub par. We will not be back or recommend to anyone. There are too many other great restraunts one can patronize. The bar area was unique; mthe actual bar was a ship, complete with a mast! We all know, however, that a place cannot survive on atmosphere alone. It will not be open long if the service and food don't improve."

"Our waiter was not helpful and not accomodating. The food left much to be desired. I was there a couple times over the last year, and loved it the first time. Since then, the quality of food and service has downgraded though the price is as high as ever."

"This place was a disappointment. It has a great location and the space has real possibilities. But the food is average, the service, while pleasant, was slower than molasses in January, the noise level was almost unacceptable, and the distraction of screens playing old movies was pointless. The sensory overload made for something more like a carnival where you'd eat corndogs and pretzels than a serious dining experience. Very disappointing!"

"Awesome!! We had a group of 15 nurses that we in Minneapolis for some training that we wanted to take out for dinner. We had originally made reservations at Capital Grille but later thought about the high cost & the casual way that everyone was dressed so we cancelled the reservation. The News Room was one of the only places that could accomodate a group our size last minute as well as have a variety of food that everyone would enjoy. The service was excellent, the food was amazing & we will definitely be back!"
