"A great addition to the neighborhood! The food is great--described as "elevated American with French influence" by the chef, which I'd say is accurate--but atmosphere is casual. Try the mussels--good portion size and they're tender and in a fantastic broth. Fantastic chocolate mousse. The beer menu is also great."

"What a delight to find a place equally hospitable to folks drinking at the bar and to a family with small children! And on top of the pleasantness of the staff and the ambiance, the food was really good and there were vegetarian options that made me happy."

"This was our third visit to the Neighborhood. (We are big fans of Jan Leonhart who plays there every once in a while, which is what brought us the 30 blocks uptown in the first place.) It is a great room to hear jazz in, but there apparently has been a change in chefs; the menu was always good, interesting (where else would you find a poutine appetizer in NYC?) but things have really been taken a couple of notches upward with the new menu. I had a pan roasted cod in a rissotto that was just superb. Add this to the nice, open room full of music and these folks have got a good thing going. Glad to see that they are filling the room with diners! We'll be back."

"Food was good, menu was interestingly varied. Good preparation of food. Service was very friendly. I would recommend & would come back again. We reserved thru Open Table, but they said that they did not get a reservation thru Open Table that evening. We came early, as we attended the Matinee show of Paul Winters Solstice Concert, so it was no problem to accommodate our party of 5. But I wondered why they did not get the reservation?"
