Had a resv for 2 pm Mother's Day. Arrived at 2:15 due to traffic and no Onsite parking. No table. Kitchen for a la carte closed. Only food available was buffet which had run out. And above all, very rude behavior. Since they had made their cash for the day perhaps.

One of the better Indian places in the area. It still has my favorite Saag-Paneer. Mynt has persistently been bad at service. They seem to consistently understaff their restaurant with usually only 2-3 waiters and no host to seat customers. I've been to this restaurant a half dozen times and have had poor to horrible service(waiting 5minutes for someone to notice and seat us or waiting almost 15minutes before a waiter even showed his face at our table). I've fixed that problem by just doing take out. I suggest you do to.

Great authentic flavors, and wonderful use of spices! Loved every dish we tried, especially the paneer tikka masala and garlic naan. The soup was fresh and homemade (although too much peppercorn for my liking)

Food is still great, but was disappointed to discover that the buffet, instead of being throughout the week, is now only on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Also, their prices has gone up a bit. There are a couple of other Indian restaurants in the area that have buffet every day, and I'll be checking those out.

Thought the service and surroundings matched overall. The food arrived in a timely manner, (I have frequented many Indian establishments) and I was a little disappointed. The food to me was rather bland for Indian food. Guess I'm used to spices, rich flavors and such. Don't get me wrong, it was good just not great. Maybe overpriced for what I am used to at other establishments.

I had made prior reservations for 2 at 8.30pm Feb 14. from the time we entered, we were made to wait for 10min. that was fine. Then the manager lady took us to our seats. It was such a conjusted arangement . We were made to sit in between 2 two-chair tables where two other couples were dining. It was like eating in a train. They were so close to us. We could not talk at all. After waiting for 10 mns, there was no one to take our order. I finaly called the manager and asked her "will some1 take our order today" she quickly asked one of the waiter to take our order. He took our order, served our drink. and then after waiting again for 10 minutes, he brought our appetizers, main course, breads all together. By that time we had finished drinks

We are a retired couple with only a moderate income, so we can only afford this place for special occasions. We love it, though. The food is excellent, and the wait staff very helpful. We've eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants both here and abroad. This is one of the two best.

Went here with my wife for a midweek dinner. Had read about Mynt a few times and we were excited to try a more upscale Indian restaurant in the San Jose area. The food was very good quality overall. We had the lamb shank vindaloo and the special curry with prawn and okra and both were very tasty. The main disappointment was the setting and ambience. It's a huge space inside and there were only a few tables occupied. It feels like it's in a weird location: the kind of place a fast food restaurant would be located rather than something higher end. I would come back and would certainly consider taking out since it's pretty close to where I live. I wouldn't come back for a special occasion, though, or for a romantic dinner with my wife.

The Mynt is our favorite South Bay restaurant with a Sunday Indian buffet. The decor is simple and casual, yet elegant. The service is friendly, efficient and professional. The cuisine is a delicious combination of traditional Indian dishes (northern and southern) with a successful fusion of international influences. There is something for everyone - from vegan to meat, mild to spicy. Recently the ages of diners in our party of five ranged from 18 to 86, and each of us thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Usually we are a party of two whose specific favorites include: Butter Chicken (him), Chicken Biryani, when served with slices of hard boiled egg (her), Chole Masala (both) and Fruit Custard (both). Arrive before 1pm Sunday for better parking.

The food at The Mynt is some of the best Indian food I've had in the SF Bay Area. I count it, along with Amber at Santana Row, as my goto upscale Indian restaurants. The seasoning is distinctly Indian, but not overpowering. Do not expect Kabob and Curry's style food. They have Goan specialties on the menu that are always worth ordering. Their wine list is well thought out, with some eclectic choices, and reasonably priced.

My husband and I have been going to The Mynt for a long time. It has been our favorite Indian restaurant. However, I've lowered the ratings for this last visit because the food didn't seem quite as good as before. We are wondering if there is a new cook. While the noise level is usually moderate, this time there was a screaming child who was not being disciplined by the parents, which made for a not so relaxing lunch.

We've enjoyed dining at The Mynt for over a year. On our most recent visit the Sunday afternoon buffet was the best yet. After being warmly greeted by several restaurant staff, we hit the buffet tables that were fully stocked with a wide variety of fresh Indian and other delights. From soup to salads, snacks with sweet yogurt, main dishes and delectable desserts, there is definitely something for everyone at The Mynt. Many dishes are what I consider to be medium spicy, but some are less and some are more. There are plenty of vegetarian selections. The naan (bread), chai tea, mango lassi, and lime soda are wonderful. The small parking lot can get full but we've always been able to park. We'll definitely return.
