Chef-owners Paul & Robyn Bergman and their talented crew have been feeding the hungry people of Davis and the surrounding communities for over twenty-five years,… recently receiving a Zagat Rating for food of 27, and voted Best Restaurant in Town by the readers of The Davis Enterprise. We have also been called by Sunset Magazine the quintessential Davis dining experience. "Even though they were about 20 minutes late on our reservation, and our server couldn't figure out that we were her table, once everything settled our food came out quick, hot and delicious. Rose, our server, was attentive, without being overbearing, pleasant and helpful in food and wine pairing suggestions. The decorum was beautiful - like a rustic cabin. Perfect for a lovely evening dinner, but on the pricier side (one appetizer, one soup, one main, one dessert and three glasses of wine was around $90 before tip, just imagine ordering two mains)."

"Simply the best.They treat you like family, anticipate your every need,and the food is always delicious.
They split our apple tart onto 4 plates that we wre sharing without asking. It's little unexpected things like
that , that makes this restaurant so special."

"We dine at the Mustard Seed often. The owners are wonderful people and their staff are also very nice. They never make us feel rushed, show up at the table only at the right times (one of my dining pet peeves) and the food is unique and very good. If you want a quiet night out an a mature setting, this is the place. We have even taken the kids here and they loved it. They were expected to be a bit more on their best behavior than at the more "kid friendly" places, but that's a good thing for the kids to learn."

"Expensive but nice place for a special dinner in Davis. Loved the Tomato Bisque Topped with Puff Pastry. Disappointed by the Pate Plate but the main courses had good flavor. I would come here again."
