"I can't recall ever eating in restaurant that had linen napkins, and no table cloth. Strange, and noise level very high. This is never acceptable in a restaurant in a better dining restaurants."

"We returned to dine here once again and as always the food was outrageous. Service is awesome. We can't say enough good about The Montville Inn. Its one of our favorite places to dine. Try the crab cakes they are out of this world."

"The food was just "good", the service was very attentive, but the room was excessively noisy and it wasn't full at the time we were there. Prices were high given the quality of the food and portion sizes. The overall experience fell short of what is described on the web site. Apparently the owners and managers of this restaurant have a far higher opinion of themselves than I'll ever have of their restaurant; and that's probably of little consequence to them."

"From the very start we were impressed by the Inn. Our reservation was honored immediately and we were promptly seated.

The atmosphere at the Inn was very warm and inviting. There is a very good wine list.
The menu is very comprehensive, and the Inn also offers a tavern menu.

We started with the “Inn’s” Famous Calamari, ½ Kung Pao with Pineapple, the other ½ was Hot Cherry Peppers with Shallots and Garlic - plenty for sharing - a unique preparation that was excellent.

We ordered a salad and it was average - nothing special.

My wife enjoyed the Seafood Pappardelle - Baby Spinach, Grape Tomatoes, Scallops,
Salmon and Shrimp with a Truffle Roasted Garlic Sauce - Excellent

I ordered the 14oz N.Y. Strip - Caramelized Onion & Smok"

"We have been to the Montville Inn several times and have never been disappointed. The service is friendly and fast, food is out of this world with a very unique menu and the decor is very inviting. We cannot wait to dine outside this summer. The Montville Inn is a great place to meet up with friends or have a nice dinner with you significant other. Try it you will not be disappointed."

"The food and service were good. However, we won't return because the noise level is so incredibly high that it was difficult to have a conversation with our friends. Management has got to figure out a way to improve the acoustic level of the restaurant to make it more enjoyable to be there."

"The menu did not thrill me before making the reservatin, but past experience suggested that the food was well prepared. The kitchen did not disappoint. My haddock was delicious, as was everything paired with it on the plate. Everyone in our group of 4 enjoyed his/her meal. As for service, when I asked for a shade to be lowered, it was done at once; and when we commented that it was rather cool, we did not just get an apology, the temperature was adjusted and the meal was all the more enjoyable."

"We ordered from the main menu (not the pub menu)and found the food to be fair considering the price points. The beef spring rolls were more like egg rolls (large) and the skirt steak had to be returned due to being very chewy. Lastly we were overcharge for our wine selections and had to ask for a refund?"
