A word from The Montgomery Inn - Original
When we say our ribs are famous, we mean it. Enjoyed by actors, athletes, and every U.S. President since Gerald Ford, they’re hand-spiced and slow-roasted daily, then finished off on our custom broiler. But Matula’s secret recipe sauce is the real star, made with only the finest California tomatoes and a super-secret blend of all-natural spices. And don’t worry about wearing a bib. It’s a good look.

Our world-famous ribs are definitely a hard act to follow. That’s why we also offer equally out-of-this-world entrées and combos, signature appetizers, soups and salads, and seriously decadent desserts. And if you have little ones who refuse to eat anything that’s not a nugget, children’s menus are available as well.

Whether it’s lunch, dinner, or carryout, there’s always something delicious you’ll want to try. But if you always decide to go with the ribs, we’re fine with that too.

I used open table work the expectation of making a reservation at this restaurant. Upon arrival the hosted politely explained that they don't take reservations but it's actually call-ahead seating. I had a secure table for two through the app, yet still waited 45 minutes for a table. Disappointing!!

We had an unpleasant experience in June after REDS game & I relayed opinions/disappointment to Mgt via email. I received phone call from a marketing person apologizing to me and defending the staff and their position on my critique of quality. I was offered gift card for return visit. We attended Bengals game on 26th made appropriate reservation. The service this time was very good....Server Jason. However we still found the food to be sub-standard. The Saratoga chips were not all fried...stuck together; onion straws were very greasy....caesar salad loaded with dressing with no taste.....pulled pork sandwich was dwarfed by the really good bun.....ribs covered with "cool" sauce...and the MI Nachos for $12.95 were a real disappointment.

If you want to let them park your car it's great, but if you want to park your own car well all the parking lots available are taken by there valet parking and there valets were very rude. So good luck finding a spot on the street. By the way I'm not letting a 3.00 valet park my 60,000 dollar truck.

Hadn't been to Montgomery Inn for a while and was really looking forward to it. We all agreed that our food was very good, but overall service left a lot to be desired. Our 2 sons ordered salads which didn't arrive until the main entrees came. One ordered his dressing on the side which also didn't take place. When my son said just forget it, the server's response was "Well, I can box it up for you". Really??? There were 7 of us and 3 of us got the wrong sides with our meal. For the price you pay, you expect a much better quality of service. Very disappointed.

First off this was not a reservation, it was a call ahead. I feel that needs to be specified when making "reservations" here. We still had to wait 25 minutes for our table at 8:00 P.M. Waiter was polite but didn't overly impress. Food was good but is NOT as good as it used to be. Prices have also gone up. I would not go there unless we had a gift card like we did.

Not every city has a truly classic restaurant that year in and year out provides excellent, consistent, quality food and service. Obviously they are known for fabulous BBQ Sauce, Ribs, and Saratoga Chips, but they also have an extensive menu beyond ribs and chicken, and while it isn't often that I deviate from the mouth watering ribs, every entree that my family and I have experienced over the years has never disappointed! This restaurant is always a crowd pleaser!

We went to MI because I've been craving it. I always order the Cantonese shrimp and ribs combo. We started w chips and straws combo and I had the spinach salad. Everything was as I expected it to be. Familiar and GOOD. To add to the experience it was fun to see family groups enjoying their meals being together. The service was outstanding. From being greeted by the hostess and seated in a booth a tiny bit removed from the family interaction, but still able to enjoy it, to our waiter who was wonderful. That is, he was tuned in to our requests. I think this must be a part of MI training because we find it at each "Montgomery inn" restaurant. Always an anticipated meal.

The Montgomery Inn is the best of the best in barbeque, with nothing like it anywhere else in the united States. Texas is second place to the Montgomery Inn. Ribs are perfect; pulled pork is heavenly, with the best purple cabbage slaw you'll ever taste. And nobody has brisket like the Montgomery inn.

Everyone should eat here at least once. I've lived in Cincinnati for 25 years and it's a place for us to go to when we want some of the best ribs in the Midwest. This time, we ventured into several other dishes, all very good. We tried the bbq chicken and the crab cakes. I like how they're doing the wine list--offering a number of bottles of white and red under different price levels--$20, $30, $40. We had a very good Joel Gott Sauvingnon Blanc.

The food was delicious! Brandon, our waiter, was amazing! Very sweet , great personality. Talked with us like we were friends. He's a gem, for sure! The food was good. Not quite as good as we expected though. My husband's brisket was on the dry side. On the menu, the steamed broccoli said it had garlic, salt, and butter. What I was served was plain. It had nothing on it.

My husband and I chose Montgomery Inn to share in our 43rd wedding anniversary. It was a good choice. We had no wait time with our 6 PM reservation. Our server took our drink order and gave us time to look over the menu. We ordered the chips and straws for our appetizer, which was more than enough for two people. My husband ordered from the 3 for $30 menu which featured shrimp, ribs and chicken with dessert. I had the pork chop and duck combo with sweet potato. The food was superb and the service was some of the best we've ever had. I would heartily recommend Montgomery Inn to anyone who enjoys a great meal in a wonderful setting. It was well deserving of a 5-star rating.
