The Mill Kitchen and Bar
Wonderful as alwaysThis is the 4th time I've eaten there since they opened. The food is amazing and so fresh.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGetting to GreatThis restaurant is finding its footing and, as a newer restaurant, I know it takes time. Most of the food I've had has been delicious; all service outstanding. Promised seasonal, regular menu updates aren't happening as often as it seems was promised on the first few visits. We were told a spring menu was coming the very next day on our 1st visit, but the same menu was in place for the next month. We went on Mother's Day & a signature item was pulled from the dinner item because it was all gone at brunch. A dessert on the menu was also not available - the only one we really wanted, but we weren't told until dessert time. We were there at 5:30. Given the place was fully-booked with reservations that day, it wasn't well planned.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMDinner MenuThe dinner menu is too small. It needs more chicken options, more beef options. If you offer a hamburger for lunch you should be able to offer one on the dinner menu. Dinner needs more salads & vegetarian options. 3 of the times I have been to The Mill, you have not had the piemento cheese fritters. A disappointment.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMMill Kitchen and Bar RoswellThe food was good and the service was excellent. A bit pricey though. Nice looking restaurant and the bar area was very nice.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMLoving The Mill Kitchen and BarBoth the food and service were excellent. I would highly recommend it, and shall return.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMVery goodBeen back a few times now. I had my first entrée that was just ok. Porkchop. Not bad, jjust ok. Shrimp and grits were amazing. Burgers are always good. Short rib excellent. Deviled eggs were good, but skimpy. Desserts were ok.
Good restaurant. Just learned what not to order.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and wine selections.Great food and wine selections. Great service. Very comfortable dining room.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMSurpriseAfter trying different restaurants in this location I was hesitant to try The Mill Kitchen & Bar. We had lunch here and were pleasantly surprised. I look forward to coming back again and again!!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMFood, service and settingFood, service and setting were all excellent! We will definitly be back soon. Our only complaint was the wait time between courses was a little long. But we enjoyed chatting with our neighbors at the next table and our server, Lauren, checked in on us often.P.S. Great decor!!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWe enjoyed our meals and thoughtWe enjoyed our meals and thought Hanna did an outstanding job.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good but.....The service was personal and knowledgeable while also enthusiastic. The food prepared and served was very good. There were two items on the menu that were not available but wait staff did not know until we ordered one and substituted the next until deferring to our final selection. There is turnover here in the kitchen that doesn't bode well for this restaurant.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWe enjoyed a very nice dinner. We enjoyed a very nice dinner. The short rib was fantastic! The drinks were VERY pricey though-$10 for a 8oz glass full of ice.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMThe menu items , for brunch,The menu items , for brunch, are somewhat limited however everything we had was very good. Cheesburgers were like you would make at home - cooked just right, juicy & tasty.
The chicken & french toast was excellent. Tender, juicy lightly breaded chicken & good F.T.
The service was excellent. Our servers checked with us often. The negative was a group of 30 something women who were loud to the point of being rude. The main dining area is small therefore voices carry esp after some drinks, etc.
I enjoy seeing people having a good time but not at the expense of comfort of others.
I will return to The Mill for din-din in the near future. Yum-O .4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMI've been there 3 times &I've been there 3 times & they are always out of the piemento cheese fritters. The dinner menu to way too limited. I will not return for dinner. Lunch is very good with a variety of choices between salads, sandwiches, soup, & entrees.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMIt makes such a differenceIt makes such a difference when the chef is committed to using fresh local ingredients. The food tastes better and is healthier as well. The servers are enthusiastic about what they have to offer their customers so everyone is having a good time. It all begins in the kitchen. We would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant and would love to return. Lively bar secene as well.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved itDelicious. Nothing boring on the menu. And a bonus to be able to enjoy locally raised foods! We'll definitely go back.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThe staff was outstandingThe staff was outstanding including having one of the chefs come to the table to talk with a picky eater and satisfying her request.
Of the four diners, mine was the only one that generated a complaint! The Mac and Cheese was cold but the fried chicken was great.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMNew Roswell Restaurant ChoiceWe were a little worried given the limited menu choices, but everything was very tasty and our service team was great. We will be back.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was excellent. Had toFood was excellent. Had to change reservation from 4 to 5 at last minute and they accommodated well.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellentFarm to table food with a list of the farms on the wall. The. Food was good and it is a pleasant laid back atmosphere. We had a great time!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMStill getting their 'sea legs'Still getting their 'sea legs' but are solicitous and trying to get it right. Big improvement on the previous restaurant and we're glad to have them in the 'hood!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMLove the farm-to-table concept!Love the farm-to-table concept! So wonderful to have in the neighborhood!Great service and the food is fantastic and fresh!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMNot as advertisedMenus was limited, food taste was good however chicken was greasy and veggies over cooked even for southern style. And portions were small . They call it southern comfort food but it is way to phophy for that.
For what you get prices are a little high.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThe open-air ambience wasThe open-air ambience was great on the porch. The locally obtained food is a refreshing change for restaurants in the area and is reflected in the dishes served. Flavors and portions were large. We'll be back.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had been to this restaurantWe had been to this restaurant in both of it's past lives and loved how the new management has changed the bar and outdoor patio areas. Great place to meet friends in Roswell. The food was good, the staff excellent and attentive. A great (and welcome) addition to the Roswell restaurant scene.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall my groups dining experienceOverall my groups dining experience was great! The appetizers and cocktails were delicious. Service was really good too; friendly and attentive. We ordered plenty of appetizers and then ordered dinner later in the evening which ended up taking a really long time to be served. But we had a great night out and I would definitely go back.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMDefinitely not run-of-the-mill!The Mill is the best thing to happen to this location since Relish departed. I love the emphasis on local, pastured and grass-fed meat and dairy. Kudos for acknowledging the farms and sources!
Atmosphere is delightful and relaxing. The outdoor patio is a destination on its own! Overall, the food was well-prepared, seasoned and fresh. A thoughtfully executed veggie main course offering would be welcomed.
I made an entree out of the fried oyster appetizer accompanied by the golden beet salad. I wish the goat cheese component of the salad wasn't smeared across the plate. I hate having to scrape it off to get to it! Fried chicken and the braised short rib were great. The mac n' cheese won raves! Creamy and rich, but not overly so.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMReally enjoyed our experienceReally enjoyed our experience on Friday night! Great food, good service, and nice atmosphere. I would highly recommend The Mill and plan on going back really soon.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMLove the local food. GreatLove the local food. Great dishes and great service from Ryan.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThe restaurant opened twoThe restaurant opened two (2) weeks before we tried the establishment. I was amazed how well prepared they were- in fact they we much more organized and operated more smoothly than most restaurants that have been open for years. The food was a very nice southern experience. My family and I enjoyed our experience and plan on going back many more times. The cheese fritters were delicious .....3/7/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful Upscale SouthernI went for lunch and it was outstanding. They try to use all local and organic grown food and you can definatly taste it in their cooking. Everything tastes incredibly fresh. I absolutely recommend it. It's my new favorite.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PMThe food was what one expectsThe food was what one expects from farm to table, fresh, tasty and beautiful. Our waiter, Ryan, was especially attentive to a table of 9 women. However, the noise was so overwhelming that it took away from the overall wonderful experience. Please hang some appropriate tapestries or put rugs down..something! It's too good of a restaurant to let the noise turn clients away. S.B.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
