  • "Made a reservation for 8 pm and requested a window seat. Upon arrival I reminded the hostess about the window seating and was asked to wait at the bar till a table was ready. After a 40 minute wait we reminded the hostess that we had 8 pm reservations. We were given a table near the door to the kitchen. So much for waiting 40 minutes for them to honor our request!"

  • "The view from the dining room is really nice, looking at the water and the swans, especially at sunset. I had the red snapper which was very tasty but a little dry, needed more sauce. My friend had the pork chop which was very good. The soup was spring pea with lump crabmeat which was delicious, the salad with dried apricots was very good. We were very satisfied with the service, we did order from the restaurant week special menu, and we will be back to try other dishes on the regular menu."

  • "If you are in the area, I would highly recommend this restaurant. I met a friend to celebrate her birthday. The server and the entire staff went out of there were to make our group feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant. The staff was attentive, the food was excellent and we had a wonderful meal. I will definitely go back!"

  • "We had received an email notification of a special menu/special price for Restaurant Week. Have been to this restaurant before and always found the food, service and ambiance very good. The menu was of interest mainly because of a special dessert that was a favorite of my wife's...Baked Alaska. Three of our party of four ordered it but sadly, it was tasty but a disappointment. Baked Alaska, as my wife informed me, is made with egg white meringue, not marshmallow fluff. The steak was also chewy that evening and surprisingly, not the waitress or manager inquired how any of the food was...did they know? We will go back but will stick to the regular menu in future."

  • "Having been disappointed in the past by the limited menus offered at some restaurants during restaurant week I did not have my hopes high. However I could not have been more wrong the menu had variety including beef pork fish and chicken. I had the pork chop which was great. The service was impeccable All in all I would recommend The Mill to anyone. The prices outside of restaurant week are on the high side but if our experience is an indicator it will be money well spent"

  • "Visited The Mill a week ago and had a pretty terrfic meal at their restuarant. The dining room was very quiet that evening and the service was very attentive. The entrees, salmon and crab cakes were especially good. We noted that The Mill had jazz on Saturdays and booked for the next weekend. The music was terrific. The menu in the lounge was the same as the resstaurant. This time I tried the vegetarian meal. Absolutely wonderful squash entree. We definitely will be back."

  • "Our arrival was greeted by an empty Matrie"d desk. After waiting several minutes the Host returned from the coat closet with the coat check lady. He asked if we had been helped as if some one else was there. Then we were told to "go sit over there." Fortunately our water and the food were very good. My husband had the pork chop that he is still talking about 2 weeks later. I had the lobster pie with a puff pastry crust and 2 claws sticking up out of it. The claws were the best most perfectly baked I have ever had. The actual pie was a little over run with peas. I like peas but there was enough for 2 or 3 servings in there. Beautiful setting next to a large pond."

  • "Just recently dined here for Sunday brunch after having difficulty finding a brunch venue in Ocean County. Fortunately, after considering other places, I chose this one. I checked their website to see the food options and prices for brunch, and I was EXTREMELY surprised. It seemed like a great selection for such a reasonable price. Upon arrival, we were seated quickly (I made reservations a few days ahead-recommended), and then we were greeted by a funny, upbeat waiter. We proceeded to the buffet (after receiving a comp juice, mimosa, or champagne from our server), and man.. I was in heaven. A huge variety, well manicured, hot, and easy to access. Needless to say, we returned up to the buffet 3-4 times until we were ready to burst!"

The wait staff was attentive during our entire seating. Even though the brunch was heavily booked, we were comfortable and the brunch "lines" were well managed. The food choices between breakfast adn lunch were evenly split and all were excellent. The diabetics in the group appreciated the sugar free offerings.   • "We arrived on time and sat at the bar for a drink. We waited over fifteen minutes to get drinks while the female bartender appeared to wander around the bar in a state of confusion, helping those who arrived after us. We specifically asked for ice cold martinis and they were not cold enough. When we were seated, there was a table in the front modern dining room but the hostess took us to the back of the old room by the door to the kitchen. It is the worst seat in the house. I asked to move since there was a very nice table by the window, as I had requested when I reserved. Finally, since I knew one of the waitresses from previous visits, we were moved but had to wait almost 15 minutes just for them to seat us."

  • "The rack of lamb was cooked to perfection - medium rare - not too pink and not overcooked. Other three friends got the salmon and Tuna, also delicious. Generous dessert portions and delicious; cappuccino was wonderful. Loved the ambience. There was a "singles" Christmas party going on upstairs...saw the people coming in when I first arrived and they all looked festive and happy. Valet parking was easy. I will definitely return for a Sunday brunch which I hear is great and also to sit outdoors in the warmer weather."
