The Melting Pot - WestwoodIt's FondueDone nicely, excellent and fun service, but it's fondue. Once every couple of years is enought for fondue, in my humble opinion. We took advantage of the half price special for Nurses & Teacher Appreciation week.
There were 6 1/2 of us. (with a 2 yr. old.)

The fondue cooking is fun for everyone and is a great icebreaker for groups as everyone gets into the experience. Lots of choices for everyone including vegetarians. The wait staff was EXCELLENT -- friendly, helpful and attentive. Restaurant is beautiful and well maintained. Food is pricey though so you may want to look into splitting your entree if you want to sacve some cash.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMA special night out!I went to the Melting Pot Westwood this past weekend with 4 friends to celebrate a bachelorette party. We had a memorable and fun time. Our server (I believe his name was Jamie) was super friendly, and went out of his way to ensure we had a fun experience. He brought out a special dessert dish for the bride-to-be, complete with chocolate hearts, and he bought the bride-to-be one of her drinks. He gave each person at the table a piece of the restaurant's homemade chocolate to take home as well. The manager was also friendly, and came over to say hello and ensure we were having a great time. The staff is always fantastic and the food is delicious. Note that if you are dining at an earlier time, there may be more children present and it tends to be a bit noisier. If you are on a date, try to request a table in lovers lane. All in all, The Melting Pot is a dining experience and if you are there for the four course fondue you can expect to be there for 2 hours. You will never feel rushed. We highly recommend it.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went for my fiances birthdayWe went for my fiances birthday dinner and it was welcomingly understated ( noted on TVs it was his birthday no singing :)) we had a wonderful meal as well as a birthday card and wishes from all staff and complimentary chocolate covered strawberries! A very very pleasant adult way to celebrate a special day .... The server was very friendly and knowledgable about the menu, ingredients, and drink selections. The food was amazing. We opted for a four course meal which included a cheese selection (if you love cheese, you can't go wrong!), salad, entree (we opted for a variety of steak & chicken), and dessert (you have to save room for this, well worth it!).
Of course it is a little pricey, but you are paying for the experience, atmosphere, and delicious food. I'd recommend this for a special date night, or a group night out. We we re seated at a very private table, with little to no noise, perfect for us to talk and enjoy eachother's company. Our waiter was perfect. Very knowledgable, very cute to us being silly and romantic, and gave us as much space and time as we needed without feeling like we were being rushed out the door. He even brought us cheese cake as dessert as an extra for our special day.
