  • "We love going to melting pot to celebrate things as a family. It was a kids eat free night and my kids lived the chance to order their own cheese, entree, and dessert courses. Excellent service kept things moving so the kids were never bored. Great food as usual, and a special night out for us!"

  • "The menu has changed since the last time we where there, for the better. We had the 4 course, and we both could choose what we liked. The amount of food was just right, and the quality was top notch. The service was outstanding, our waiter Philip was there at just the right time to start the next course, not to soon, and not o late. We'll be back."

  • "Had an AMAZING anniversary dinner at the Melting Pot. Yummy food, great service and so much fun! Definitely one of our favorite places to celebrate special events. They also offer a great military discount and when we had trouble with a coupon the manager came to our table and worked it out for us. AWESOME SERVICE!"

  • "Great food, best service I've ever had at a restaurant, great experience. The manager came up after dinner and asked for suggestions. Earlier we had postulated that asian pears would go very well with the cheese fondue in addition to the apples. The manager offered that in future reservations if we made the request he could procure asain pears for us since he doesn't control the overall menu, but can accomodate special requests. I was very impressed with the Melting Pot and my wife was extatic when she found out we were eating there."

  • "Went on a Sunday night to meet up with another couple. It's usually just the two of us when we visit The Melting Pot so this time we wondered how the "negotiation" for fondue selection would go. It turned out great but ... if you go with others, be aware that picky eaters could make things difficult. We were last at MP for Valentine's Day and the contrast between then and Sunday was remarkable. It was much quieter and everyone was more relaxed. Not that the previous visit was bad, just a busier day. Sunday was great. Being quiet we could actually hear our dinner partners and have a nice conversation without having to raise our voices. An active dinner (dipping fondue, selecting the next piece, choosing sauces, etc) keeps things lively."

  • "This was a "fun" dinner. The attention the staff to us was second to none. The food was excellent. Although the portions were small we had plenty to eat. It is really a place for a special occasion."

  • "Fondue is always fun and entertaining. The Swiss cheese is delicious as is the chocolate fondue. The salad appeared small but with all the other food you leave stuffed! It is located in the food court section of the mall with an outside entrance."

  • "We went to Melting Pot to celebrate our 18th anniversary and had a wonderful meal. We often go to Melting Pot for special occasions because we love the cheese and chocolate fondue and it always feels like a bit of a splurge. We have only done all four courses (cheese, salad, entree and dessert) once and found it was a bit too much food and took a very long time to get through all the courses. For me and my husband, the entree is the least interesting and most expensive part, so we just skip that course and have cheese, salad and dessert and find it is the perfect way to celebrate. The enclosed booths help with the noise and keep the feel intimate to your group. We love it, and this visit was no exception."

  • "The food here is aamazing and the experience is fun and interesting. The fondue experience is never boring. Its an interactive experience. However, I bekieve it might be time for The Melting Pot to do a little renovating. For years now the eats and booths at this restraunt have taken abuse and to be honest they are worn out and un comfortable. Now when you sit in a booth you are too low because there is no more cushion left. That is my only negative criticism."

  • "I think The Melting Pot is a most romantic dining concept! We took our daughter & her fiance with us to celebrate Valentine's & the fiance's 40th birthday. When making the reservation I mentioned a birthday, but unlike our anniversary dinner, they did not seem to pick up on that & we found ourselves in the family section! Who knew so many people take small children put to dinner at a fondue restaraunt? We still enjoyed wonderful service and fantastic food!"

  • "Great experience for Valentine's Day. Cost me a pretty penny but well worth the memories."

  • "We go to The Melting Pot five to seven times a year, even though it's a 45 minute drive each way from our home. We were a little concerned as Valentine's Day is their busiest day of the year and yet, they really shined. They were smart, having a set menu and although the options were limited, they were outstanding selections. Service was top notch as usual with none of the hurry up you might expect on this busy day. Meals were delivered at the right times without any kind of long wait. The food was well prepared and fresh as well. We're happy we went and of course will go again."

  • "It's always so hard to choose; starting with the cheese fondue is absolute favorite and always so good. But the night is not complete without the meat/fish fondue. And chocolate fondue as dessert is like the cherry on top! Love it! Staff is friendly although our waiter was a bit in a rush, too bad boots are right across each other so you do not have much privacy but the food.... yummie!"

  • "I frequent the Melting Pot on a regular basis & have for years. I have been to Phx & Tucson & have found the Phx (particularly the Arrowhead restaurant) Melting Pot to be much better than the Tucson one. The Phx ones seem to be much more attentive to there customers & seem to want to please you & entertain you while you eat. The waiters & waitresses are very nice. I have found in Tucson that this is not the case. The waiters don't seem that attentive & sometimes you feel like you are bothering them. Overall the Melting Pot is a nice place but expect to spend alot which is why I expect alot from my server. I want to feel like they are happy to help me with whatever I am asking, whether it be different cheeses or different chocolates."

  • "My husband and I recently celebrated our 10th anniversary at The Melting Pot. Our server was very knowledgable and seeing as it was our first time eating there, she helped us navigate the meal with no problems whatsoever. The food was excellent, the drinks were great, and it was a very intimate setting. A little noisy, but that's probably because you feel like you should be the only people there in your little booth and not in the middle of a full restaurant. :) I can't wait to go again and would definitely recommend to anyone who asked!"

  • "Although we had a great evening together as a family, I felt it was WAY overpriced. I mean, we love to go out to dinner and order filet mignon at Sullivan's or Flemming's, but had no idea that it would come raw and that we would be boiling it in broth! We should've done more research I guess. Lesson Learned. The service was great however and the manager was very polite. The best part of the whole night was dessert. It was a 3 hr night"

  • "Great place to celebrate a special occasion or just to enjoy a night out. The service was the best we've experienced in a long time, sad for Tucson , great for the melting pot!! We loved "cooking" our food to "our" level of doneness."

  • "The melting pot is mine and my boyfriend's go-to spot for special occasions. We always order the four course experience and get the Swiss cheese fondue, ceasar salads, the pacific rim entree with mojo cooking style, and to finish it off we do the yin yang dark and white chocolate fondue. I love the intimate couples booths and the service is almost always excellent (save one experience, but that was one out of many great experinces). I highly recommend the Melting Pot for a romantic date night or just going in for dessert with a few friends."

  • "This won't be our last visit, we anticipate many more. If you haven't been to the Melting Pot for a while, check them out again. It's the same great food but they've updated their options so you can mix and match or even just get a cheese fondue if you're not that hungry but do want a romantic dinner. As always the staff is well informed, competent and discrete (it's supposed to be romantic, right?). The manager typically checks in toward the end of every meal just to say hi and provide you with the opportunity for some feedback. If you engage, the manager will act as if you're the only customer in the restaurant and gives you full attention and all the time you want. It's very nice!"

  • "Unfortunately Melting Pot has decided to go with individual entrees instead of shared entrees. I miss the "Big Night Out" Having individual plates not only crowds the table, but takes away the fondue/shared dining ambience."

  • "We decided to let our 5 yr old grandson try out fondue cooking. He really enjoyed the experience and especially the chocolate fondue. The service was pretty slow and had to ask the manager to find our waitress one time but I think it was just ours. The other tables seemed to be doing ok. Overall, the experience was still fun. Personally, I would like to see a little more vegetables served with the main dish but the cheese and chocolate choices are worth the trip."

  • "So nice to be waited on to the MAX. I was spoiled, spoiled, spoiled! I recommend the food for all occasions or for no special occasion. Service will floor you and you will feel like you're in a5 star restaurant in New York City. Enjoy! :-)"

  • "This is the second year in a row that my daughter and I have celebrated an early New Year's Dinner at The Melting Pot. The atmosphere was very festive from our Happy New Year tiaras, to our sparkled leis, noisemakers, etc. The Champagne toast and set menu is great, with a nice variety of fondues to choose from. The service is always great! The fondue is excellent . We were almost too full to eat the chocolate and heavenly bites to dip at the end-cheesecake, strawberries, marshmallows, brownies, ...oh my! This is a great restaurant for celebrating a special occasion. Staff always ask if it's a special occasion and make it memorable!"

  • "I took my boyfriend here for a surprise before our anniversary because he will be out of town. We went on a saturday night, and we were still able to have a very secluded, nice dinner. Our server was fun and joked around with us, but made sure to still explain every step of the fondue process to us. It was a delicious and interactive meal. :)"

  • "Eating fondue with friends or family is quite an experience and the Melting Pot ensures it's a good one. Our waiter guided us through a somewhat complex menu and helped us make excellent decisons. The drinks were quick and the courses of the meal came at appropriate times. The only reason I marked down the restaurant was because it got uncomfortably hot. Cooking your own food over a burner on your own table is obviously going to heat things up but that's what air conditioning is for. That's an easy fix and we probably should have just said something to our waiter. Overall great experience with work wonderful food. I would rrecommend it to anyone."

  • "The Melting Pot is a creative dining experience. You need to plan for time to be there to really enjoy the meal. It makes for a fabulous date night. You have many options and it may seem like your servings are small but once you had up all the courses, you leave more than full. Try the mojo cooking style, I could eat 10 pounds of broccoli cooked in that stuff!"

  • "We had our own private booth, it felt like we were the only ones there even though our server stated it was one of their busiest nights!"
    Dined on 12/9/2013
  • "For several years now this has been one of our favorite places for a date night. For a romantic occasion, you can get a private, curtained booth, which is not very common here in Tucson. For more casual nights, hang out in a normal booth. Either way, you'll gorge yourself on cheese and chocolate, maybe with a salad and entree course in-between. On our most recent visit we tried the new bottomless entrees, which are a nice option. My husband doesn't like shrimp so I always have to trade away some of my meat for his shrimp. This way I got all the shrimp and he ordered enough extra meat to make up for it. Service is always great, they hire the friendliest, funniest people!"
