  • "I've had good experiences at the Melting Pot before but this service was not great this time. The server was not very helpful when it came to accomodating our gluten free requests. He seemed confused and was telling us different things each time. Overall, was very disappointed with this trip. I will not be returning."

  • "I love going to this place!!! Foods fantastic, drinks are great and service is awesome. I have never left that place unsatisfied."

  • "Everyone was friendly and helpful from start to finish. Food was amazing. Highly recommend the 4 course experience as it gives you a great overview of what the restaurant is all about. Highlights of the meal were the house dressing on the salad, the succulent shrimp from the main course and, of course, dessert. We will definitely be going back."

  • "We feel we were rushed by our server. Entire eating experience lasted just over an hour. We're eating salad with cheese pot pulled off burner for entree pot. Server spoke very fast and asked several times if we were done. Although customers who were seated before us were still seated when we departed."

  • "We had a wonderful time. The food and service was outstanding."

  • "I've been to this location several times, this was the first time I didn't thoroughly enjoy myself. Our reservation was for 7, we were there by 6:30 and then waited until 7:30 for our table. Our server was less than attentive and refills and each course seemed to take twice as long as usual. The defining moment came when I bit into a piece of chicken and both my upper and lower gums were pierced by a very sharp chicken bone. My husband made the server aware of it and he did not even acknowledge it as a problem."

  • "First time dining at The Melting Pot. The staff worked together to make the experience extremely enjoyable and the manager Phil stopped by the table twice to ensure that we were satisfied. Phil's interaction with us made the night even more special."

  • "I love the melting pot but last night in Tacoma not your finest moment. Severs arguing, 45 min waits for a bottle of wine,25 mins between corses. Unhappy Date night. I realize it takes a while for a meal at the melting pot but we were there 3 hours! That seem a little long to me."

  • "Another awesome family experience from the time we dropped the keys with the valet until we picked them back up. Service was quick and the waiter was extremely friendly. One of the managers dropped by to check on us twice which was very nice. He even went so far as to order more dipping plates for our white chocolate. We'll definitely be back!"

  • "The restaurant is a great place to get to know the person sitting across from you or if you already have known them for a while, a great place for intimate conversation. It provides you with stuff to do by cooking your own food in steaming hot broth, so you're not just picking at your food trying to think of things to say. A great interactive date! A little on the spendy side if your on a budget. Two people with two glasses of wine each, a starter (shared) and a main coarse meal set me back $150, which included 18% tip. Service wasn't fantastic and the steam from the broth will irritate some womena hair, so if you are women or have a woman that has to straighten her hear.. be warned.. :-)"

  • "I have been a fan of the Melting Pot for years. In California I relished on the Happy Hour. One of our Girlfriends had been sad on a break up and we (me and my other friend) wanted to go out and take her out. I suggested The Melting pot for some indulgence and they both were virgins to the Pot and so I told them they were in for a treat. I made the reservation, got there early for a couple of drinks in the bar and then sat down to eat. We had the 4 courses. So to say..we plan on the Melting Pot for other GIRLS NITES."

  • "Server was excellent, very personable and attentive to our needs."

  • "Many burners in our section were inoperative. The lettuce was old, the bread was old, the fondue was not cooked correctly- it wasn't brought to a boil. Because the near burner on the table was out the server had to lean over the table to reach the far burner just to cook. Very awkward. I have visited this restaurant many times over the years and this is by far the worst overall experience. They really need to turn this ship around!"

  • "All I can say....outstanding as I would expect. The staff was superb, every person that can to our table. They greeted us, engaged in conversation, and were genuinely interested in our celebration."

  • "We will always remember this milestone birthday & our Melting Pot waiters were the perfect serendipity to a lovely evening. Our main waiter was attentive and helpful. A second waiter also stopped by to ask if we were celebrating a special occasion and brought a special dessert plate with a Happy 75th Birthday wish written in chocolate & a slice of cheesecake. We had a lovely conversation with him & our memory of the evening was definitely enhanced by these two delightful waiters. We were seated in a corner booth and the whole atmosphere was very romantic. Thank you for helping make this a very memorable birthday."

  • "Met a friend at The Melting Pot restaurant in Tacoma 03/10/14 and enjoyed a nice evening of good food and good conversation. They offered a huge amount of choices for dinner, desert and a surprisingly complete wine list. An equally huge amount of food was delivered for us to cook at our leisure. I recommend The Melting Pot for anyone looking for a fun, filling meal."

  • "Two couples enjoyed an early dinner on Sunday. The meal was great, enjoyed cheese, salads and dessert, which we all agreed was just the right amount of food. In the future I will add a comment requesting the lower area of the restaurant, one person doesn't do stairs well. I also should have asked for a table with two burners, because another person in the party can't have real chocolate, but with one burner we all had to settle for a white chocolate fondue, because the two burner tables were unavailable. One member of the party was celebrating his birthday, which was celebrated with a candle (no singing, TY) and a Sherri's Berry. Going to check out Ladies Night next month"

  • "This is a once-in-a-great-while restaurant experience. There is no kids menu even though at the bottom of their menu is says to ask for a separate kid's menu. Seeing as we had 3 children with us that were between 4 and 8, this was a bit of a let down. The server was fantastic though. Her male helper wasn't quite understanding what we were needing as the kids weren't exactly eating what we were eating. All in all it was a great experience for our kids. The only other time I was there we had the white chocolate dessert option which was delicious; this time we chose the milk chocolate because of our kids, that was a disappointment. It came out more like cheap chocolate sauce that you would drizzle on your ice cream sundae and was overly sweet."

  • "So it was my wife's bday I called made reservations everything I asked for they met, we had our own corner decorated with rose petals bouquet of red roses and candles on the table once my wife seen how beautiful it was she came to tears of joy. Couldn't of asked for anything better."

  • "This was my third time dinning at The Melting Pot, and I have to say they NEVER disapoint. Once you go in they just take care of you, from set up to food explanation to any additional questions answered and additionall food as well :) Great place to go, hands down. Angel"

  • "Meat course just ruins the gaste of the meat. Fondue is not the way to eat your meat. Just order the cheese and dessert with a salad. The prices seems pretty high for the meat course anyway."

  • "This was a delicious meal & I would definitely recommend it. The only issue was our service was a little slow. We had a 4-course meal & arrived early yet people who arrived after us recieved their first appetizer before us. At the end, our server was nowhere to be found & we were waiting over 10 minutes for him to return. But otherwise, a great place."

  • ""I loved the quiet, intimate feel of this restaurant. The server was great, she didn't rush us and was both kind and informative. The menu can be complicated to read and figure out for newcomers, and the dining experience for the 4-course meal, including cheese fondue, a salad, the meal of your choice and chocolate fondue, takes about 1.5-2 hours minimum for a group of two people to enjoy. Overall very pricey, but worth the cost especially for a special occasion or a splurge on a delicious and elegant dinner!""

  • "Menu items are expensive. Understaffed; our party of 5 (including 3 kids whose patience was sorely tried) spent 3 hours at dinner. The surrounding tables were left dirty, and it is understaffed."

  • "My husband and I had never been to a fondue restaurant, so this was a wonderful adventure. We arrived a bit early for our 6 pm reservations, so we had a little wait, but nothing unacceptable. The hostess was very polite and cheerful. Our waitress was wonderful in guiding us through a new experience. My husband noted that although tables seem to be close together, the noise from other diners is muted, so you feel like it's just you. We both noted that it was nice to be able to take our time eating and just spend time together. Surprisingly, we were both stuffed by the time we strolled out. A bit pricey to bring a family of four, but for two it was less than we've spent on other birthday dinners. Definitely would and will go back!"

  • "This is a very expensive place to eat. I could have eaten at El Gaucho for less, and the food would have been better. Just mediocre stuff, and the bill came to almost $65 a person. Not that thrilled with the service, either. We said two of us were celebrating a birthday, maybe this is not a big thing for the restaurant, but given how much we spent, a free choc fondue, even if a small one, would have been nice. Won't go back, there are other places that are SO MUCH BETTER."
    Dined on 2/23/2014
  • "Service, food and location were all as advertised, and the dining experience was pleasant and fulfilling. Service was just a by slow, as the server was saddled with a large group in addition to two small tables. The menu selection, recently expanded, was a pleasure to explore, and did not disappoint. Fondue dining is an experience into itself and facilitates conversation through the interrupted and languishing pace of consumption."

  • "My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here. It was our first time dining at the Melting Pot. We had a wonderful time! Waiter was very nice and food was excellent! We signed up for club fondue on their website and got a great coupon for free chocolate covered strawberries. Don't forget to try a cocktail if you're up for it. They make some tasty ones!"

  • "Have gone to this restaurant before but not late at 8:30 pm. Think they ran out of salad. The serving looked like they scraped together bits of lettuce and ground pecans to make up their signature salad dish. Other than that the 4 course selection was acceptible. Its better to plan ahead in reservations, eating late for special occasion is fine if its for a couple, not for family occasion."
