Very nice and the manager of the shift (june 9th , ~5pm) even gave us amazing tips for dessert which were not on the menu (e.g. flaming turtle but with white chocolate!!! You are welcome!). The prices are kinda high for the small amount of meat we got, but it was high quality and in the end (four course meal) ~100$ for two people isn't too bad. Drinks, one cocktail and a café latte included. And nonetheless, I was stuffed to the top at the end. They are always quiet and dim, with a romantic ambiance for a nice date out with your partner. The food is fun and conducive to good conversation while you eat. The Tacoma Melting is set in an old warehouse with elegant touches built in to an industrial building. The wait staff are always top-notch professionals, with knowledge of the menus and a charming demeanor. We needed a break from the usual and wanted to make up for a missed Valentine date in February. Our server was delighted in our Summer Valentine occasion. He joked with us about it and even wrote it on our receipt! All around us, couples were finishing their food before going off to the prom, so I know they must have been busy, but everything was beautiful and our reservations were on time. We were able to have a leisurely meal, stretching our courses out for several hours. We were also able to make a custom-dessert! The food was delicious! My friend and I were worried that there might be a problem waiting for the food to cook at the table and the time it takes to eat. I'll never worry about that again. They had a great time, loved cooking their own food, and trying all the sauces.
Mostly the staff made it wonderful. Oh, the food was good, the dipping and skewers for cooking were fun for everyone... but really, everyone who served at our table gave outstanding service and were so friendly and patient with the kids. They were open with suggestions on what to order for them. Each and everyone talked to them so kindly and openly. He did really good, but it sounded very much like he was reciting a script and it was clear he was a little nervous and uncomfortable. He did a pretty good job. For this trip, we had a reservation at 1400, but chose to wait an additional 35 minutes at the bar in order to ensure Rashard was our waiter. The bar staff was very friendly, courteous, thoughtful, and just the right amount of chatty. Once again, Rashard was outstanding. He continues to be very enthusiastic, attentive, thoughtful, and well spoken. He remembered that my wife was gluten free and kept that in mind throughout the meal. Remember it is rather expensive but well worth it; especially, if you are looking for unique and delectable meal in a romantic setting. The service was wonderful. We had Rashad as our main server. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and his product. We chose a less expensive wine and it was very enjoyable. Rashad apologized for not being able to be more attentive due to serving larger parties. Food was excellent, as expected. Some of their cocktails were not, however. One, something with "Breeze" in the title, was a gin based cocktail that was mixed with cranberry and mint.. But tasted syrupy and was too sweet. Would not recommend or order again.

There were six of us celebrating my birthday. The server was fantastic from a personality perspective. It was a bit of a challenge to get water and drink refills at times. Also, our dinner salads came out right after our main courses, which was quite a challenge space wise. Two of us literally held our salad plates in the air with a free had as we ate them. The topper was all of us putting our salad plates up high on the booth ledge, and they never cleared those until the end of our meal.
