We had a great time on our
anniversary. However, we could not imagine taking our two year old and 8 month old. Leave the kids with grandma. Couldn't be happier with the service or with the meal. Everything was amazing. It is my wife's favorite spot."

Aside from the brown lettuce in my
salad everything was pretty good. You don't really expect something so easy to catch when you are paying $50/person for dinner."

My husband and I have dined at The
Melting Pot several times now (at different locations), and the food and atmosphere were always great. We took my mother-in-law at the Syracuse location, it was her first time having fondue and she loved it! Our server, Maya was her name I think, was phenomenal! She was very attentive, funny, and helpful with menu choices. Though it is pretty pricey, we'd definitely come back for a special occasion."

Even though we had reservation for
8 pm, we were not even seated until almost 9 pm. Do not make reservation on a busy day, place is obviously overbooked and people are left waiting for unacceptably long time. Food was good and waiter was trying his best to get our food on the table quickly and efficiently."

We went to the Melting Pot to
celebrate my daughter's graduation. We were 5. We had never dined like this previously and were not sure what to expect. The experience was fabulous, the food great and service was super. We highly recommend it."

I took my mom there to celebrate
Mothers Day early and it was awesome! She loved it and the service and food was great. Just make sure you have a lot of time to spend because you want to enjoy the experience without feeling rushed."

Made reservations through open
table for a surprise on my daughters day at the mall with her friends celebrating her 16th birthday. Our waiter was very good and did well with a group of 5 girls. I would come again with my wife for dessert as I don't think she would go for the whole meal being fondue style. My daughter even got a nice surprise treat at the end !"

While the food and service was
amazing the noise level was a bit loud in the back room and the floors creaked alot while walking to and from our table. Sounded like we were walking on thin metal and didnt make me feel safe. But the wine and food was really good. The desert pot was lacking in size but its was a good expierence in all. Would reccomend doing this in groups because you can get more pots and fondue."

Great place for a family
celebration! We each ordered the four-course meal and split a third meal between our three kids, and there was plenty of food for all. Dessert is the highlight of course, but they enjoyed it all!"

We had the most pleasant hostess
and waiting staff."

Our server Charles was great. Food
was good, the new dark orange chocolate was fantastic - highly recommend if you like orange chocolate. Will say this though for the price of a sailors punch compared with the same at the Albany location, their size for the drink was worth the money this location not so much but were still good."

Communication from the front desk
to the waiter could have been better, certain things weren't communicated at all. We had a special movie deal with the meal. This was put in the Open table comments. When we arrived the manager knew what was there because we asked but he never told the waiter. :( The waiter also didn't seem to know what glasses to server with sparkling wine. Other than that everything was good. Food was good, strawberries were great."

My best friend & I were in
Syracuse for a special occasion and she had never been to the Melting Pot. My first experience in DC made this a MUST DO for our weekend. We were greeted immediately (AND the host said my name right - usually very difficult for some reason) .. we were seated quickly & our server, ALONZO, was the best. He was knowledgeable, courteous, friendly and just purely joyous addition to our evening. The food was AMAZING, the wine was delicious AND we had a ball. Thanks again Alonzo & Melting Pot for making it an AWESOME night!!!"

My husband and I have a 10 month
old and are expecting our second child in a few months, so its safe to say we don't get out much. We finally got a babysitter and went to the Melting Pot for a four-course meal. We really enjoyed the meal and it was fun to cook our own food. We loved the dessert the most. While we don't see us doing this that often, we know we will be back."

This was my boyfriend and I's
first time going to the Melting Pot. It was absolutely amazing. The menu was a little confusing but out server, Jordan, explained it so well and recommended the perfect dishes for our taste. The experience alone was worth the money paid. A little pricey but SO worth it!!!!!!"

Went out for a date night with my
husband. Requested a quiet section and they obliged. The waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable. Overall the food was good. It was the first time we went there but will definitely go back."

The Melting Pot is one of the only
"chain" restaurants that we frequent. The food is always amazing from the cheese course to the chocolate. Service is generally hit or miss here at the Syracuse location. Our server tonight was awesome...very fun and energetic. If you're looking for great food and the experience of fondue...The Melting Pot is your place to visit. Plan to be there for about 2 hours or more. The courses aren't rushed and you can just have a great night with a special someone or small group of friends."

Of course the food here is to die
for. But what keeps bringing us back is the amazing service. Every person we've come in contact seems to truly love their job and knows everything there is to know about the food, drinks, etc."

My wife and I attended with
another couple and combined we have 5 children. It was a welcome night away from the kids, peaceful, relaxing. Not rushed. Able to enjoy the meal. Others don't like the pace but they did not have kids. It was a perfect night out for us with great food!"

Haven't been in years to a Melting
Pot...decided to try because it's in Destiny USA. Let me just say that we've had fondue in Europe, so may be a bit biased. If you've had the real thing, don't go, unless you're willing to risk being disappointed. The Swiss Cheese fondue did not have the right blend or consistency of cheeses, the kirshwasser had no effect on taste, and we had to stop the server from emptying a too-large portion of garlic into the mix. We also did a broth fondue, which should have been a simple vegetable broth, but was on-fire spicy from the start. Had to send it back and get another pot of broth. Did an oil fondue for tempura - that was good. Accompaniments like veggies and apples were great. Ambiance inside is dark /dull."

Fabulous dinner. Food was
fabulous. Staff was pleasant and efficient."

Our server was the best, he knew
his stuff and made sure we were well taken care of!! He explained everything to us and gave many good suggestions! As a total surprise to us our server brought us girls each a glass filled with chocolate dirzzled on the glass, whip cream and a large strawberry dipped in chocolate on top, and a lit birthday candle!!! We thought our husbands did this, no it was our server!!! We called that GREAT customer service!!! We had the best time and will sends all our family and friends your way!! Thank you for making our celebration a great one!!"

Going to the Melting Pot is a true
culinary experience. I love the pace at which you eat because you are cooking pre-portioned food in a variety of cooking "styles." I never feel stuffed after the meal and I can enjoy the rich flavor in the extremely fresh food they serve. I have been there there three times now, and while the setup is intimidating at first, the experience quickly becomes fun and exciting when everyone understands what to do! I would definitely recommend the Melting Pot to anyone looking for an exciting and delicious dining experience"

The Melting Pot gave us a great
date night event. The food was amazing, and the experience was even better. You don't know a true fondue dining experience until you go to The Melting Pot."

The hardest working staff I've
ever seen! Excellent service and food that's a lot of fun, especially with a group."
Dined on 11/1/2013
service and atmosphere was good.
we enjoyed the cheese fondue and the salad also the dessert but did not like the entree, we had 2 differant cooking styles but disliked both. we will probably not return to this restaurant."

We went to the Melting Pot for my
daughter's birthday. The food was very good as always, but the server was not very attentive. At one point, my daughter spilled her drink, and though the server walked by several times, she did not help us clean up, or even take away the small pile of wet napkins that resulted when we cleaned up the spill ourselves. On the plus side, the manager came by and was very friendly and we appreciated that. We like this restaurant and we will go again."

This was our 5th visit to a
Melting Pot and we have never been disappointed. The ambiance is always quiet and romantic the service superb and the food is made to your liking (since you cook it in the fondue). This time we opted for the 4 course dinner with the basic cheese fondue appetizer (with unlimited stickers), house salad topped with egg, a fresh California salad and two different entrees, the classic and fondue fusion. The entree variety was very good with lobster, shrimp, beef, pork, crab and a variety of vegetables. The chocolate fondue dessert, had a good variety of stickers which were unlimited. Service was attentive but not overbearing. If any downside it was that salads arrived before we had finished our appetizer fondue."

My boyfriend and I were
celebrating and the Melting Pot was perfect for our date/little occasion. The service was great and dining was an experience! :-)"
Dined on 9/16/2013
The Melting Pot is a nice place to
go if you want a predictable night out. The food is good, not too imaginative and just about anything you order will be good. I find it's a good place to eat if you're in an unfamiliar city and need a decent place to have a slow meal. However, you will see families celebrating birthdays and people in T Shirts. I'm not complaining just expressing the facts. The service is always good, and the staff is always careful as possible with seating."

Wonderful! We had great food, an
excellent waiter, and a fun time."
Dined on 8/8/2013
Extremely romantic! I requested
romantic seating and we were given a great spot! Server was delightful and the food was such an experience. Pricey but worth it."
Dined on 8/3/2013
This was a great experience. We
loved the food and it was a lot of fun cooking in the pots. The was was great but when th dessert came it was heaven. Pricey but a great experience."
Dined on 7/19/2013
The staff was friendly and the
food is fun. Not a place to get stuffed, but definitely enough food to be satisfied. We were celebrating a birthday and had four children ages 6,8,11,12, and two adults. We ordered entrees, drinks, dessert. There is a children's menu. It was great fun."
Dined on 7/16/2013
Our meal met all of our
expectations. We had gone to a Melting Pot in California, so we knew that it would not be a quick meal. Our cheese appetizers were delicious as were our entrees. We ordered 3 four course dinners and 1 entree only for 4 people and it was more than enough. Next time we will order 2 four course dinners for 4 of us. Dessert was great, except no one liked the marshmallows. The manager stopped by to see how things were going, he was very friendly. Later he apparently thought we waited too long for our entree (to be honest we were just starting to notice it had been a while when they arrived---so it couldn't have been that long). Anyway we got a free round of drinks for the table for our wait. We will definitely go bck."
Dined on 7/12/2013
It was our first time at the
restaurant and I have to say we were confused on our options but the wait staff simplified it and walked us through step by step with personal recommendations. It was a lot of fun!!! Loved cooking our own food and just the general set up. Exceeded my expectations! Great job guys, keep it up! Also, the person I was with received an "okay" review from a friend before we went and you exceeded her expectations as well she loved it!"
Dined on 6/26/2013
I was treated to Mother's Day at
the Melting Pot and it was great. The experience was the best I've had at the restaurant. I think it just matters so much when you go-when they are busy it's really hard to get good service-when they aren't it is a much better, personal experience. Mother's Day it was not full like it usually is, and so our server was fantastic and really explained everything very well. The food was great. I missed the regular menu options but still enjoyed the special occasion menu."
Dined on 5/12/2013
Our Server was amazing! My Husband
& I had sined there before but he took the time to explain everything to our daughter and make her feel involved in the expierence."
Dined on 4/27/2013
Food is good but very over priced,
had reservation for 9:30, just for chocolate fondue and drinks. It took 25 minutes to get drinks and we were pushed out as they stated they were closing. Would not go back very unprofessional and rude."
