The Melting Pot - SomervilleA great spot for couples and groupsThis was the first time my wife and I dined at The Melting Pot. Among all of the restaurants in Somerville, this one truly stands out with its concept. Our waiter was very friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and guided us through the process of how to cook our food in the fondue pots. I would recommend choosing the 4 course specials, which save you a couple of dollars compared to ordering a-la-carte. The ambiance is perfect for fondue-style dining.
My only criticism is directed toward the diners that were there Saturday night: DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN. We are all paying a premium for a unique dining experience, and it is incredibly rude toward the other customers and the restaurant staff to deal with their yelling and running around.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat time!Went to the Melting Pot for a birthday dinner and it was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, however, our server lacked service. We asked for water, we got our cheese fondue and our salad before we got water. We had to flag down a manager to bring us water. From that point on the manager kept checking on our table.
