A word from The Melting Pot - Seattle
Situated in the hub of Queen Anne, the Mercer St. location provides a casually elegant, intimate atmosphere. The relaxing 4 course experience begins with cheese fondue prepared tableside. Fresh salad follows while your entrée pot heats up. You’ll simmer a variety of tantalizing meats, seafood, & vegetables. Each morsel is hot, fresh, & flavorful. Entrees are accompanied by an array of dipping sauces to add to the fun. Your choice of chocolate fondue is the grand finale, served with a variety of delicious dippers. Many have stopped by to satisfy that fondue craving after a concert at The Key, an Opera at McCaw Hall, or a family outing at the Seattle Center.
We feature an extensive wine list, fresh trendy cocktails, & specialty martinis.
It’s the perfect place to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, overdue date night, family night, or a group gathering!

Diner Reviews
  • "My boyfriend and I made reservations following a show at the 5th Avenue Theater. We were seated right away. Everything flowed smoothly. The food was plentiful and very good. The pace was great between courses. We didn't feel rushed at all and felt like we could take our time. The meat and seafood were top notch. Who can complain with ending a meal with delectable chocolate? Overall, great experience. Will definitely go again."

  • "Pricy for the quality of the food, but it is a fun experience. Good for special occasions with small to medium size group."

  • "I have always wanted to go to The Meltimg Pot, but couldn't come up with an 'occasion' to justify it. Went with my two daughters for a fun night out. We had the 4 course experience but I think I'd recommend doing a salad, the cheese, and desert. I didn't feel I needed an entree and ended taking mine home. Food was great!"

  • "I've been wanting to go to The Melting Pot for years and finally went for Restaurant Week. Normally very expensive but had a great deal for the week. Loved the food and the xperience. The dessert was my favorite and would definitely go again!"

  • "Took advantage of the 3 course dinner for $28 during Seattle Restaurant Week. The staff at the Seattle location was great! Our server Tim was the best. The food was sooo good. Wonderful dining experience. "

  • "I honestly was very excited to visit this restaurant because it sounded like a fun experience. Well, the experience will be one to tell our friends not to waste their time on this place. The only positive was the bartender was attentive and talkative. The disappointing part(s) of the service was we were early for our reservations yet we were seated late thus after watching the hostesses flirt with other staff. Also, we were sat at their "special" table for two which was weird, behind a curtain and cramped AND came with the worst waiter possible. It was our first time, he didn't even explain how the meals worked (didn't even get to pick our "cooking" broth) or even offer us water to drink. The food was decent but not worth the money spent."

  • "Visited probably 1/year for 10 years. Very leisurely meal. You do not want to plan to be in and out in a hurry. This is a food is fun, take your time kind of dinner. More choices of entrees to cook since last we visited was a nice surprise. Everything is yummy and wait staff is helpful and friendly. Dark chocolate orange flavored dessert was delicious."

  • "We got to Melting Pot about an hour before our reservation, so had a few drinks in the bar. The bartender went out of his way to tell us about a wine that was no longer on the menu but they had one bottle of, and we could buy at a discount. Not only did we buy the bottle of wine for dinner (vs. maybe get a glass instead), but he saved us some $$ and it ended up being a wonderful wine!! We would definitely go back as we appreciate the proactive approach on this."

  • "Anniversary dinner! Fantastic staff. Very accommodating! Perfect portions! Delicious food! Can't wait to return for dessert! (Ran out of time & space for more treats!)"

  • "We always enjoy meals at the Melting Pot. We usually go to the one in Tacoma, but were in Seattle for the day so we tried the one in Seattle. It was an easy walk from Seattle Center and was a great way to relax and cap off a good day of events at Seattle Center."

  • "I took my husband and a small group of family to the Melting Pot, hoping for a great time. That's an understatement for what we received. As long as you're willing to spend some money, this place will make any occasion fun. We were here for almost 3 hours, so don't be starving when you walk in the door, but the drinks were good and the server was hilariously entertaining. I'd say everyone must go here at least once. The unique fondue setting makes it worth every penny."

  • "Albeit a LOT of food to take in, we were so glad to finally get to Melting Pot on our anniversary. The food and service were outstanding. Thank you!"

  • "Had a great waiter, he checked up on us at appropriate times and attended to our needs, and the dessert was amazing."

  • "Our server Tim was superb and was the only highlight to our dining experience! The seafood was not fresh, you should not charge prices comparable to restaurants that only serve fresh food. I made a reservation and was seated in a booth by the bar even though the restaurant was completely open which I did not at all appreciate or enjoy. It felt like Applebee's."

  • "I was very sad to hear the fiesta cheese was discontinued. That was our favorite Fondu cheese. The baked potato was good but fiesta was best"

  • "My first time here and I wanted to take my man somewhere different. The food was tasty but for the price I expected more."

  • "Although we had been to one of their restaurants before, it was the first time with our 19 month old son. We noted in the reservation that we were going to have a toddler with us, so we were conveniently seated at an end table. They offered a booster and a high chair, so he could seat where ever he wanted. During our 2.5 hr dinner, our waiter made sure our little one's needs were taken care of, bringing him fruit to snack on in addition to our plates, milk for him to drink, made sure he had what he needed. At the end we even got some Chocolate Covered Strawberries! I was so thankful for the treatment received. I recomend if you are taking a small child, make sure you go early, when it is not too crowded. Thanks MP!"

  • "I enjoyed my experience at the Melting Pot. The food was tasty and the service was really good. I left full and satisfied. It's spendy dinner for 2 was well over $100 and that was with no seafood and just a single drink a piece."

  • "It was my first time and the girl I was with firsts time and everything went perfectly. I loved it! My new favorite restaurant :)"

  • "Excellent food ...ordered the 4 course and between 2 very hungry people, we couldnt finish.. very friendly staff.. delecious, although somewhat pricey"

  • "My daughter and I went here to celebrate our birthdays. The fondue format menu at Melting Pot makes for a very social meal. We had the four course experience, with Traditional Swiss cheese fondue and Coq au Vin broth for our entree fondue. For the chocolate dessert fondue we asked for milk chocolate with Chambord - it was very nummy! Service was excellent - attentive, prompt, entertaining. Great place for a special meal when you want to take your time, relax, and enjoy the meal and the company!"

  • "The food and service were both outstanding. We are definitely going back. Tim our waiter was the best. Great way to spend an anniversary."

  • "My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant while we were on vacation in Seattle to celebrate his birthday. This place is an interesting place to take guests, so it is suitable for special occasions. However, service was very slow the night we went. Our server was informative, sociable, and very polite, but the timing of the different pots was very off. We ended up spending over 2 hours at this restaurant, and most of that time, we were just waiting for our next pot or food items to come. The quality of the various sauces and dips was good. The entree is basically hot pot, so it's hard to be phenomenal there. Overall, this dining experience was unique, but I probably would not go back."

  • "We arrived late for a reservation and had show tickets. They were wonderful. Seated us right away and got us in and out in an hour."
    Dined on 3/21/2014
  • "I've been here twice before and its been an amazing experience each time. Its not something I can justify the expense of unless its a special occasion but they really made our night for my sister's birthday especially having the option to surprise her with a rose."

  • "I have wanted to try out the melting pot for quite a while and it lived up to my expectations; it was delicious and fun!"
    Dined on 3/13/2014
  • "One thing I really like about the Melting Pot is that the meal takes a very long time to complete (if you're doing the four courses, which you should). I like to say that, because it's so long, dinner at the MP is not only a meal but also an activity. It is our go-to place for romantic nights out. It's not super fancy but it's nice enough for us. On this particular occasion our waiter was not as easy to find as I'd like and there happened to be a crying baby at the next table but it was still a very pleasant evening."

  • ""John B was AMAZING! We have a baby on the way and he was going to have a new one "any minute" so we hit it off from the start. John was great at making it personal, yet professional, pacing the meal so we were never without food, but not having it shoved in front of us too soon, always ready to assist with our needs, yet respecting our privacy of a couples night out. John B made our dinner a thing to remember that we actually talked about the next day! He is truly the best of the best!""

  • "We had a wonderful time for our date night. The food was amazing and our server was a lot of fun. My husband can be picky and even he was very happy with everything. I am a foodie and was just thrilled with everything. I wish we had splurged on a private table, but the booths are a good compromise to give you a little privacy. All in all, a wonderful evening. Definitely on our go-to list for special occasions."

  • "It's become a tradition to take my teen daughter and her friend here around Valentine's Day. They absolutely love it! Srrvice it's stellar. Teriyaki marinade is marvelous. Julia is a terrific server!"

  • "The best 4 words to describe the experience? "EH.. MAH.. GAWD BECKY!!". I had the pleasure of dining here once many years ago & swore that if I ever wanted an extremely special experience with an extremely special person, I'd come back. Well, 2/18/2014 @ 7 was it! The staff were SO sweet, helpful & attentive, the food was so deliciously perfect, the music so warm & inviting... I was able to sit, relax, & truly enjoy the company & humor of a solid diamond of a man! This was the first date I've always wanted 2 experience, & I can't possibly thank the Melting Pot enuff 4 1 of the most joyful dining experiences EVER!! BTW, the spinach/artichoke heart cheese dip & yin/yang chocolate sauce R THE way 2 go 4 a truly cosmic experience!"

  • "We'd always been curious about the Melting Pot but wondered "Fondue? Does that mean an entire meal of bread and cheese?" Not at all. The bread and cheese and other goodies is a first course, second course is a variety of options (there's a purely veg option, but also meats) in oil, and the dessert course is a mind-blowing array of things to dip in chocolate! Great service, ambiance- we will definitely be going back!"
    Dined on 2/17/2014
  • "The dessert is so fabulous that every once in awhile we decide to have dinner too. Every time it disappoints. Limp salad with purple cabbage that clearly just came out of a bag from some elementary school salad bar. Seasonings over the top and lots of too sweet sauces. Friendly service, but not the level of professional service you 'd expect at a restaurant at this price-point. Just a general disappointment and not worth your date night, unless you're going for dessert, where the sticky sweetness makes it almost worth it. (But seriously, marshmallows?)"

  • "(They are making me write a short review and I hate it) - About 35% overpriced, with generous calculations - I don't get the cheese fondue, bacon+cheddar+heat+bread crumbs+broccoli = $15. Also, not fine dining. Do it at home with Netflix. - Main course good, esp. lobsters, fillet & salmon. Some dips weird / made no sense with anything. - Salad was horrible, I make better at home for $3. - Service horrible. Had to wait on arrival. Refills slow. Servers not attentive, seemed very distracted and overloaded. - Ambiance, weird. Industrial pipes on roof + fine dining = fail. - Desert good but small amount of cheesecake not forgivable. - Overall: one time in life fine, never again - Do not recommend. Not real fine dining. Go to a real restaurant."

  • "It's a fun idea of dipping your food in cheese, broth and chocolate. But you don't get much food and its not all that great. Too expensive for what it is. Probably won't be going back."

  • "My wife and I don't get out often, but had the chance to visit the Melting Pot. The setting and staff couldn't be better. The food was nearly perfect with a few exceptions. The garden salad was a step up from a take out pizza place. The lobster seemed previously frozen or a little old. Overall, a great experience. The champagne toast was a nice touch. Be prepared to spend a bit."

  • "My wife of 22 years and I went for out date night and had a grey time. My first time for fondue. I thought it would be the 'chick flock' of restraints, but I enjoyed myself and my food."

  • "The Melting Pot never fails to provide a celebratory vibe. Who Does not love to dip food into cheese or chocolate? I have always thought it a bit spendy for what it is , so we don't go that often. Kids and young adults really get into it, so we go for birthdays."
