Diner Reviews
  • "The food was to die for and the experience was magnificence. I would reccomend this as a great date night dinner for any romantic couple looking for a mini adventure."

  • "Very good Appetizer, Spectacular desert. Good, but spectacular entree. Great value if you get the gift card at Costco ($100 for $59.99) and do the three-course dinner."

  • "It seems like every time we go to the Melting Pot we are talking about how great it was for the next couple of days. The service was impeccable as usual. We got there a little too early and they fit us in. Unusual because they are usually completely booked. A nice surprise."

  • "Enjoyed a fun evening celebrating my son's accomplishments and enjoying good food. Service was excellent. I'm disappointed that they've taken the WI Trio off their cheese fondue menu as that has always been my families favorite but the updated food selections for the four course meal is terrific. The dessert speaks for itself and I must say, don't be afraid to tell them what you'd like in your chocolate fondue as if they have it, they will accommodate. We went with dark chocolate, caramel and sea salt to which the left the shaker so we could add more. This was perfect."

  • "Took my boyfriend here for his birthday and he was loving it. Our wonderful waiter made sure we were well taken care of and even gave a complimentary dessert with a candle in it to help celebrate."

  • "I haven't been to the Melting Pot in Seattle for at least five years, bit it is still amazing. Our server was excellent. He seemed to enjoy his job and his recommendations were honest (he told us what he didn't recommend as well as what he did) and correct. Overall, a lovely evening of fantastic company and food. I will definitely return the next time I'm in Seattle."

  • "I have loved the Melting Pot since it opened, and always look forward to a delicious ambiant dining experience."

  • "It was such great food. The waitstaff was super friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back again."

  • "My friends and I went to The Melting Pot per my last dining experience with a server named Kelsi - she was awesome, so friendly and fun. She completely made the night! I brought 3 girlfriends with me on this trip - we got there and were promptly seated by the hostess. Our server was Duncan, who throughout the entire evening was helpful and patient in explaining how things work with the fondue and made some great recommendations. All in all it was another great time at the Melting Pot and would recommend going there - the shrimp and chicken pot stickers were my favorite."

  • "My girlfriend and I were in Melting Pot Seattle last July 5th celebrating our anniversary. I made a reservation almost one month before this date and, since then, I have no complains at all. Our dinner lasted 2 hours, but it seemed like really quick. The food was amazing, no rush to cook in any moments, service was kind all the time and so on. I truly recommend if you want to have a special dinner with your loved one. (:"

  • "My friend and I wanted a new experience and a co-worker suggested "The Melting Pot". I had been there before, over 3years ago. The waiter seemed irritated to have to explain the ordering system to us. He didn't know of any of the specials that we read about online. He also never went to find out if they even had any specials. By the end of the night he got REALLY snotty and made a snide comment when my friend asked for a little more chocolate to finish her dessert. He said "we are one of those restaurants that charge you for more food". My friend got so embarrassed that she left the restaurant!!!"

  • "No free or validated parking. Overpriced for what you get. I loved the cheese course, but the meat course was way too complicated and too fussy."

  • "I took my best friend here for her bachelorette party and it was amazing. The food was incredibly tasty. Our wait staff took amazing care of us. They brought us extra food to dip in our sauces and answered all of our questions about the menu. We were offered a champagne toast on the house since we were celebrating such a fun and important occasion. Our waiter was especially helpful when my friend had to request a high sugar beverage due to her diabetic needs. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves good food, fondue, a fun dining experience, or great service. Thanks for such a great experience Melting Pot!"

  • "I love this place. It's great for dates, double dates, big get togethers. Knowing that, it's expensive, but the experience is amazing. I took my parents there for the first time a while back and then again recently. They loved it as much as I do. The food is delicious and it's hard to stop eating. I like how there is no rush, the experience allows for eating slowly, sharing, and great conversation. The waiters are never pushy, very helpful and will bend over backwards to make your experience awesome. Look no further if you like food and a good time."

  • "Although a little pricey, for a special night out you can't beat the food. The cheese fondue was wonderful as usual."

  • "Our first time here for our 25th Wedding Anniversary, we didn't really know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised, it was fun, the food was great, we left full. We got the 4 course experience and it was really great. Would go back again for another special night."

  • "They do offer valet parking BUT this is a shared parking garage and a one lane in and out so be careful when pulling in as other tenants are not so accomodating to The Melting Pots traffic. Don't be late... with traffic downtown as horrible as it is they are not so accomodating to those that are even 5-10 minutes late."

  • "This is our third time going to the Seattle, Melting Pot. Every time we go the staff is always extremely friendly, knowledgable, and willing to go the extra mile. The food is always so tasty, and fresh. The dipping sauces the Melting Pot offers are just decadent, especially the Green Goddess. The only complaint I have is the music is a tad bit too loud and sometimes its hard to hear your server. Another negative is that its super dark in the restaurant witch it is supposed to be to set a mood, but if it was just a little brighter it would be easier to read the menu. There was even a couple next to us using their cellphone flashlights to read the menu! Other than these tiny complaints the service and food is AMAZING. If you have a chance GO"

  • "Always a great experience for the appetizer and dessert. Fabulous."

  • "First time here. Went for everything: the cheese fondue, the salad, main course (including lobster tail) and then chocolate fondue. Lots of food. And great variety - air (duck), sea (fish) and land (beef, chicken, etc.) You can get 'tastes' of different meats, so a wide selection. Made it fun. In one word, I would say 'variety', since the choices (including what oil to use) are available. Fun describes the entire process. Recommended. Especially if just for dessert!"

  • "I had dinner at The Melting Pot with 2 friends and it was just a fun, fabulous meal. Great service all the way around and excellent food. I gave the Ambience 4 stars instead of 5 only because it really is difficult to read the menu. Other than that, loved the low light."

  • "I invited my father and boyfriend out to the Melting Pot to celebrate both of their birthdays, and it was wonderful. My boyfriend's parent were along for the ride as well, so there were 6 of us. We each and our drink of choice, and after great discussion we figured out how to build our 4 course meal adventure. We loved every bite. "

  • "The four course deal is a great experience, get a little of everything and you will be completely stuffed! Our waitress McKenzie was very helpful in explaining everything and very upbeat and friendly. "

  • "We had an excellent waiter! His name was Justin. I have celiac disease so I cannot eat anything with flour or gluten. The restraunt has a gluten free menu and the waiter knew it very well. He was accommodating to me as well as my boyfriend who can eat flour. I ate gluten free food and my boyfriend did not. We both enjoyed ourselves and our waiter was very knowledgeable. Great restraunt!"

  • "My friends and I went to Melting Pot for our Prom dinner. It was an unforgettable experience. We had an amazing time. My friends and I only had the cheese and chocolate fondue. Honestly that was all we needed. We skipped the salad and main dish but we were so full that none of that mattered. "

  • "overpriced fondue slow service and i dont get the appeal of cooking your own food at the table and paing 200 plus for three people to eat chopped up chicken and beef you cook yourself in a broth- yuck"

  • "Everything was great but our waiter didn't check with us for long periods of time "

  • "The Melting Pot Seattle is a good place to eat. The food is similar to all other melting pots we've been to. The nicer area to eat is in the actual dining area vs. the bar area. The DR has low lighting and nicer booths. It's pricey. Expect to pay $50 per person for the 4 courses of cheese fondue, salad, meat fondue & chocolate fondue. Just go for the chocolate fondue. The turtle chocolate is wonderful. They accomodated us gluten free with veggies, apples & corn chips for cheese fondue, and marshmallows & fruit for the chocolate. Valet parking is offered outside for $10 which is about the cost one-way for our taxi trip."

  • "I'm glad I did this one time but will never go again. We had never done fondue before. It's a complex process. My friend and I had theater tickets and were almost late - dinner took over 2 hours. We really wanted to catch up after a year separation, but were interrupted every 5 minutes w new cooking instructions. It ended up being very expensive (menu is confusing) and complicated, especially as I eat meat and she is vegan. You have to use the same cooking pot. Everything was a dissatisfying compromise. The background music was so loud I could hardly hear her voice. The server was very good but the dinner totally missed the mark."

  • "My boyfriend and I made reservations following a show at the 5th Avenue Theater. We were seated right away. Everything flowed smoothly. The food was plentiful and very good. The pace was great between courses. We didn't feel rushed at all and felt like we could take our time. The meat and seafood were top notch. Who can complain with ending a meal with delectable chocolate? Overall, great experience. Will definitely go again."

  • "Pricy for the quality of the food, but it is a fun experience. Good for special occasions with small to medium size group."

  • "Wonderful food..great service..excellent on suggesting what to order..a little pushy on ordering the more expensive dishes however worth it."

  • "I have always wanted to go to The Meltimg Pot, but couldn't come up with an 'occasion' to justify it. Went with my two daughters for a fun night out. We had the 4 course experience but I think I'd recommend doing a salad, the cheese, and desert. I didn't feel I needed an entree and ended taking mine home. Food was great!"

  • "I've been wanting to go to The Melting Pot for years and finally went for Restaurant Week. Normally very expensive but had a great deal for the week. Loved the food and the xperience. The dessert was my favorite and would definitely go again!"

  • "Took advantage of the 3 course dinner for $28 during Seattle Restaurant Week. The staff at the Seattle location was great! Our server Tim was the best. The food was sooo good. Wonderful dining experience. "

  • "Visited probably 1/year for 10 years. Very leisurely meal. You do not want to plan to be in and out in a hurry. This is a food is fun, take your time kind of dinner. More choices of entrees to cook since last we visited was a nice surprise. Everything is yummy and wait staff is helpful and friendly. Dark chocolate orange flavored dessert was delicious."

  • "I honestly was very excited to visit this restaurant because it sounded like a fun experience. Well, the experience will be one to tell our friends not to waste their time on this place. The only positive was the bartender was attentive and talkative. The disappointing part(s) of the service was we were early for our reservations yet we were seated late thus after watching the hostesses flirt with other staff. Also, we were sat at their "special" table for two which was weird, behind a curtain and cramped AND came with the worst waiter possible. It was our first time, he didn't even explain how the meals worked (didn't even get to pick our "cooking" broth) or even offer us water to drink. The food was decent but not worth the money spent."

  • "I was celebrating my engagement and the staff went to great lengths to make the experience was memorable. My girlfriend now fiancé was so happy."
