A word from The Melting Pot - Scottsdale
The Melting Pot Restaurant is where fun is cooked up fondue style.

Romantic for Couples and Great in a Group.

Our Scottsdale restaurant is easily accessible from the 101. About one mile West on Via De Ventura in the Commons at Hayden Plaza.

The modern yet warm casually elegant atmosphere sets the mood for a relaxing evening. The leisurely paced four-course experience begins with a cheese fondue prepared table side. A fresh salad follows while your entrée pot heats up. You’ll simmer a variety of tantalizing meats, seafood and vegetables. Each morsel is hot, fresh and delicious and all entrées are accompanied by an array of dipping sauces to add to the flavorful fun. Chocolate fondue is the finale, all served with decadent dippers. Most make reservations for the four-course dining experience but more than a few have stopped by to satisfy that cheese fondue or chocolate craving. Hand crafted cocktails and great wine list.Continued

  • "The Gluten-Free options are minimal. The server was advised of our GF needs and was reminded at each course. The sauces came out & there was teriyaki as one of the sauces. Teriyaki is rarely if ever GF. I asked if it was and the server said "no". Had I eaten it, I could have become very ill. I appreciate you offering GF but the servers need to be better educated in knowing what is actually GF due to intolerances and not a dietary choice. Thank you."

  • "While the food is never disappointing this time our service was. Our server took way too long to take our orders and check on us. Normally, a dining experience like this can take from one and a half to two hours but this time it took almost three hours! My wife and I love this place and we will undoubtedly return so we hope that this doesn't happen again."

  • "Have been going to Melting Pot restaurants for years. I don't mind the shrinking portions of food as much as I am completely dissatisfied with the poor service. Maybe it is just this and all Phoenix area locations, but I suspect there is a trend."

  • "What a great place to take a date. It's very upscale yet comfortable and the staff is wonderful. The interactive experience of preparing the good is fun and makes for great conversation. Did I mention the food is delicious ?"

  • "We had a romantic date night celebrating our birthday and Fathers day. Being our first time there it was great. The only issue I had was wanting a booth with a curtain but when we were sat I asked for it and the hostess had told me it wasnt possible because they were completely full. When we walked past them there were plenty available. I was actually kind of bummed because that was one of the perks I was looking forward too. Other than that our server and all the staff were very helpful and on top of everything. we had a great time."

  • "This was our first time eating at the Melting Pot. We had to wait 15 min for our reserved table. We were told a group of 10 came in before us and that the servers were too busy with them to seat us and give us the best service. Our waiter was less than informative with cooking our food and helping us with the menu. It was so dark we used our cell phone light to see if our meat was cooked thoroughly also for a timer for cooking time. We noticed that other tables lights seemed to be brighter than ours. The staff seemed to cater to a large groups sitting next to us. For as much money as I spent on a dinner for 4 I think we should have felt just as important. The chocolate was delicious and was the only thing we liked about our evening."

  • "For me, eating at The Melting Pot is always a special occasion. Happens once or twice a year and is always phenomenal. I love the relaxing environment and the food is always amazing. This is somewhere you go when you have 3 to 3.5 hours available for a meal. If you are short on time, they now have a happy hour special with a limited menu that doesn't take as long. Eating at the melting pot is always an experience :-)"

  • "My wife and I recently visited the Melting Pot in Scottsdale. The service was OUTSTANDING, and the food was INCREDIBLE! Cynthia was our server and was very helpful in explaining how the 4-course option worked. She was friendly, and on the spot with all refills. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant and asking for Cynthia again!"

  • "My friend Zach and I stumbled in to The Melting Pot on a random Tuesday early in the month of July and it was LADIES NIGHT!!! How fun! The manager was so kind as to offer the special to both of us...even tho one of us was not a lady. The fondue was amazing. Salad fresh. Cheese course was wonderfully cheesey...and the meat/chocolate courses were amazing. The biggest surprise of the dinner was the restaurant manager Ivars Melbardis! He came over to our table, thanked us for coming in and inquired about why were were in town and how often we would be back. He asked that we come back in and see him again if we get the chance."

  • "What lead me to write this review is that we came back to town, my co-worker Stephanie and I and hit up The Melting Pot for dinner on Father's Day. We tried to go somewhere fun in honor of our husbands that we were forced to leave home because of our work schedule. Not only was the food just as wonderful, service top notch, but the manager again knocked my socks off with his wonderfulness! Ivars not only remembered me from last time, but he e offered us beer samples from local breweries, told us the best places to eat where we can get them on tap and gave us gifts to take home to our husbands. How kind is that! You couldn't ask for a better manager. It is his engagement that will keep me coming back to his restaurant."

  • "We chose the 4 course meals, and the cheese fondue at the beginning was extremely tasty. It's a good thing our salad arrived when it did, or we could've happily eaten our fill of the bread dipped in cheese, and then not have enough room for the rest of the meal. The chocolate fondue dessert was delicious! We wanted to try each type of dessert to dip in the chocolate fondue, but were so full from the rest of the amazing meal, we couldn't eat at much dessert as we thought we could. The place is great. The service is great - the manager is personable and friendly and made us feel welcome."

  • "We came with our 2 friends for dessert... the dark chocolate was great!... all very nice... but I would have given a better rating on food if the strawberries and bananas were nicer looking... a firmer and bright fruit would have been nice - the banana bits on our tray were darkening and a bit too soft. At .59 cents a pound, you could do better. Strawberries were smallish and unimpressive... of all the fruits that a person would like to sink their teeth into, it's the strawberry.... just my take.. thanks!"

  • "Not being familiar with The Melting Pot chain, the whole concept sounded weird and kinda retro, but thought we would try something different on our last day in Phoenix. On the positive side, it's good to see exactly what is in your food. The cheese fondue was great, it's hard to go wrong with a good fondue. The entrees were fine, but we found the dipping sauces didn't really complement our choices (white shrimp and ahi tuna). But overall we enjoyed the experience."

  • "The Melting Pot - Scottsdale is always wonderful! Great food, great service, perfectly mixed cocktails. We brought our 6-year old for her first visit, and she thoroughly enjoyed cooking her own food, and ate more than ever since it was so much fun! We'll definitely be back!"

  • "Our booth was in a nice quiet area. We regularly make our own European fondue and are picky about the cheeses. Our selections and the meats were outstanding. There was a very nice selection of wines and we very much enjoyed our meal. I would go back and try some different selections."

  • "My Husband and I brought our daughter & son in law for their Birthdays. KC was our server and she was terrific. Her joy and knowledge of the restaurant was so above the top the entire experience was that much better for her being our server. The food was fresh and served in a beautiful style. The restaurant was so accommodating to us as one was a vegetarian and we needed a two pot table. They moved us to a different table and all was perfect. We would certainly go back and are already looking for an occasion to do so. Thank you for making our celebration so wonderful"

  • "We have been over 20 times, and this trip was horrendous. The cheese was super thin, and when we asked if they could make it differently, we were insulted and told apparently we do not know how fondue is supposed to look or taste. Drinks were completely forgotten.. Then, as we were paying, once again the server and manager came by to give their condescending remarks.. Horrible management as well. "

  • "My husband and I went here for date night. We get one every few months and it was well spent here. The food was good and the service was friendly, attentive, and knowledgable. The only thing I would change was the table location. It would have been nice to be in a booth rather than a table on the floor. "

  • "My wife and i are very busy and dont often get a chance to relax and enjoy each others full attention. Our table was very private and we had a great night enjoying each others converstaion. The food and service was outstanding and it a very relaxed atmosphere. We were not huried to eat and get out , we were actually encourage to take our time and enjoy the evening. All in all it was a very good and we are still talking about how much we enjoyed this type of dining experience."

  • "I am not really a fan of fondue restaurants, but my wife loves them, so we go for special occasions. As far as places like this go, The Melting Pot does a great job. Our servers are attentive, and the food is fresh. This time was no exception. We had all four courses: cheese, salad, entree, and chocolate. Everyone's favorite, of course, was the chocolate, and we felt that we could have skipped the cheese and salad -- not because of any failing on the restaurant's part, but because it is just a LOT of food. We are not really big drinkers, but the wine and cocktail selection is very nice. If you want a booth, be sure to put that into the notes when you make your reservation."

  • "Normally I go to the melting pot in awatukee but decided to try this location for convenience. The waiter was horrible. He seemed angry to be working and rushed us through our dinner. At one point he even seemed to get angry and irritated with us because we were asking questions about the menu. The amount of customers inappropriatly dressed was unreal. Shorts that show a 15 year olds butt is not something very many would like to see while celebrating an anniversary. If a customer is paying decent money for a nice meal, people in athletic shorts and flip flops shouldn't be allowed to dine there. I will definitely be sticking to my normal melting pot in awatukee. "

  • "I took the family here for a Mothers Day/Birthday celebration for my mother and it was an amazing experience. Food selections seemed varied enough to fit many tastes and appetite sizes. This is a place to go and eat if you have time to sit, talk and enjoy not being in a rush. You get to cook most of what your going to eat in a fun, different and easy way I wasn't even expecting. The staff was very courteous and helpful and made the evening one to remember. "

  • "We love to go here for all of our special occasions. The quantity and quality of the food is amazing. All of the sauces allow you to share and still get different flavors. The fun of cooking yourself, dipping, choosing exactly what you want are our favorite things about the restaurant. We are always full by the time dessert comes, but never leave a speck of the chocolate that is so delicious. I like it over the brownies and cheesecake while my son likes to dip the strawberries and bananas, so we are both happy!"

  • "My friends and I decided to give Ladies' Night Out a try - it is the first Tuesday of every month this year. One of us had never been to Melting Pot and wasn't sure what to expect, but found it was better than she could have hoped for. They were able to accomodate her gluten free needs without the blink of an eye - down to the gluten free beer in our cheese fondue!! We all had the best time! The limited menu was just fine, the specialty cocktail they offered was delicious, the booth in the corner gave us the privacy to feel like it was our own party and we had FUN for two hours. Thanks so much."

  • "The Melting Pot is always a fun, but expensive, experience and the one in Scottsdale was no exception. A girlfriend and I did the 4-course feast and had a fun girl's night out. Positives include: very attentive service; a diverse wine list (though by-the-glass selections are somewhat limited); the new Alpine Swiss cheese fondue (less overpowering than the classic Swiss); just doing something different from the usual dinner out Negatives include: price; the chocolate course (dark chocolate versions are thin, watery, and lack the strong tastes I associate with dark chocolate, while milk chocolate versions are overly sweet. Also many dippers are chocolate or sweet which is just too much)"

  • "Anniversary special night. It was noted in making the on line reservation. Private booth - not.... big table for 2 in the middle of the restaurant....not so romantic. Until we got the manager involved. Nice way to start the romantic evening but we got out private booth. Nice girl seated us. Would be nice to have main dish prepared as an option with fondue starter and fondue deserts. Very average tasting food which is only seasoned with dipping sauces. They could use a bit of creativity in making sauces. Great cheese fondue as a starter that was a featured item. Loved the 2 different drinks from the bar we shared. Desert was fun and OK. Average service, food and ambience."
