Diner Reviews
  • "Better than I anticipated. Even though we were using a living social voucher, we were greeted nicely and had xcellent service. Good food. Chocalate desert outstanding. Be prepared to spend 1 1/2 to 2 hours."

  • "As a first time diner we were not sure what to expect. It surpassed our expectations. All of the fondue dishes were very tasty. We especially like the chocolate desserts. The cheese spinach and artichoke dish was delicious, too. We liked everything we tried."

  • "We loved The Melting Pot. It was my first time there, and I was very impressed. It is pretty expensive, but it is more than the food it is the experience. We literaly ate for 3 hours, laughed and enjoyed all the fondue. Happy Hour was very good, and the bartender was fun and made the best drinks for us."

  • "The Melting Pot is a dining experience, not just another night out."

  • "Had a great evening...thanks for the great service and wonderful food experience!"

  • "A great date night but a few undesirable interruptions as one of the waitresses (not ours) kept fighting with a bus boy over their apparent break up. I understand these things happen but there's no excuse for bringing it emotionally and unprofessionally to work. Grow up and get to work. We spent a lot of money on dinner....did not want to watch a soap opera."

  • "First time visit for my husband and it was his birthday! Quick friendly bar and table service..he was pleasantly surprised at how filling the meal was...we cannot wait to go again!!"

  • "We were stuffed in a small room w/3 other lg parties that were loud. I took my family there for the first time, for a nice dinner; instead we were w/ a group of prom attendees &next to a table of an older generation. I should've gone to fogo de chao/salt grass for the same environment, larger amount of food, & 1/2 the bill. the air was very strong, the steam to blew in our faces the whole time."

  • "My husband and I went for date night. Very romantic and relaxing ( Plan on spending the evening it's not a quick meal ) . The food and service were wonderful. Can't wait to go back for happy hour and the cheese fondue. It's to die for!!!"

  • "The Melting Pot was our first date which ultimately led to our engagement. The staff, from the server to the manager were very accommodating. They helped to make our engagement very special and forever memorable. Most importantly, my fiancee was left with a great "story" for our wedding scrapbook."

  • "Not restaurants fault other than they over served the parents."

  • "The Melting Pot offers a unique, romantic experience, but it is clear you are on a clock, and that isn't appreciated. I felt rushed at the beginning to decide what I wanted, and I wanted to be like, "Hello, I'm choosing four courses." Once the cheese fondue got going that was great, then the salad was great. However, she started the pot for the main course pretty early so I was rushing to eat my salad before it was time for the entree, then the entree took forever to get going! So there was a gap there. That's not terrible, but then it is fairly complicated timing your entree since you are cooking everything yourself and can only put so many things in at once, and again with the rushing us to pick dessert. That was annoying."

  • "I absolutely love this place! It's expensive but worth it for a great date night or ladies night."
    Dined on 3/22/2014
  • "While the fare is good; I feel it is over-priced for the quality. The entirety of the meal was almost two (2) hours and longer than I'd planned. While our waiter was conscientious there is downtown between courses plus the time involved to cook your meal. Had we not had a Living Social coupon I would've been extremely disappointed! As it were, the amount was about half the published menu prices."

  • "The Melting Pot has everything going for a romantic, quiet, relaxed dinner. The food is awesome, and the wait staff are very attentive, but not overbearing. The "pace" of the food is right on target!"

  • "My husband and I make it a point to go once a year on our anniversary. Our server was amazing, we were given a private table and even a little card that all the servers had signed. Definitely a special time and as always GREAT food!"

  • "My Twin brother and i took our wives for my wife's birthday. We had all had a really stressful week and it was just what we needed to unwind and relax. We had great time, and the food and drinks were fabulous. Most importantly we laughed and had so much fun! My wife has been wanting to go there for years, we won't wait so long to return!"

  • "It was awesome to go to a restaurant that was "different". I love how they cook it all at the table and how involved you are. It made it interesting and fun. It was our first time and had no idea what to do but we listened to the waiter's suggestions and were overly pleased with our meal! The ambiance is not anything to speak of….in fact it was pretty boring and kinda a mood killer for how great the food/experience/service is."

  • "From the second you enter the establishment, you are greeted by professional staff. The staff is always friendly and caring. The waitstaff is always ready to assist in what ever needs you may have. The food is top notch and the atmosphere is simply amazing."

  • "THANK YOU to this Melting Pot location for being fun, family friendly, unassuming. My guest and I were allowed to split for one since I had already dined prior to attending. I was so surprised they brought me a plate to sample without charging extra. I intend to thank them by bringing a whole host of people tomorrow :-)"

  • "My wife and I celebrated our 9 yr anniversary and decided to go here. I was able to make a reservation and choose from a variety of packages they have for special occasions. I went with the ultimate romance package. Although a bit pricey it was definitely worth every penny. The private table was just secluded enough to have a little privacy but not so much that we felt that we were not even in the restaurant. This was our first time eating at The Melting Pot so the experience was great because it was very interactive. The wife and I really enjoyed our experience and would recommend it to family and friends not just for special occasions."

  • "So, cons of the Melting Pot: If you actually go in to eat all the food, you will be there for hours. You won't be spending that much time without food in front of you, but eating fondue takes a while, especially when you've got multiple courses. And, of course, it's not a cheap meal. Pros: absolutely everything else. The waiter was fantastic, and made a lot of good recommendations, and all of the food was delicious. My only negative note about food is that the cheese fondue's premium dippers (cuts of meat) aren't actually any better than the bread and vegetables. Not because the meat is bad, just because the veggies and bread are so good. Essentially: great restaurant, highly recommended. Go there for any special occasion you can afford."

  • "I have a very limited diet and The Melting Pot is awesome when it comes to offering Gluten Free food! Our waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. He explained all my options for me and gave recommendations. I felt confidant to eat there without problems later on. The mood of the restaurant was cozy and warm. A perfect night out for my husband and I where we could chat and not feel rushed!"

  • "My wife and I have been to The Melting Pot twice now. Our first time was very romantic, we were tucked quietly in a private corner area. Our second was less private, but the noise level was still fairly low. The food was great as always, however the curry sauce was a bit gritty- could've used some more grinding. Our waiter, Robert, was very knowledgeable and dependable, but as the final course came around, there was a noticeable delay in service. Overall, we loved our second dining experience there."

  • "I ordered the ultimate romance package....Oh my gosh, is all I have to say. DELICIOUS! The only "downside", me and my fiance were too full to finish our chocolate fondue plate!"

  • "We have been dining at the Melting Pot since it opened once a year and have always enjoyed it. The food is always fresh and excellent and we enjoy the wine selection. The wait staff is always pleasant and seem to enjoy their jobs. Our only complaint for this visit was the seating. The table was way too small for our party of 7. There was NO room @ the table for our stuff. We mentioned it to the girl seating us but she didn't seem to listen. Overall we enjoyed our meal and company."

  • "Cheese fondue & chocolate desert were best parts of meal. Flowers were at table and we're also "fresh" roses that were nice. Their quiet romance tables are more like children sized tables. I am 6'2" and my legs did not fit under the table. ... Now imagine sitting there for 2+hrs....I would only recommend those tables for the vertically challenged. Waitress was wonderful. They waited to take our memorable photograph until after sitting uncomfortably for 2hrs.... ended up being a bad photo. The guy that took the picture didn't let us see the pic before he printed it "he was using a digital camera" would have taken 2 seconds to ask if we liked the photo or wanted to take another. The photo guy also made an inappropriate joke."

  • "This place has got to be the top romantic restaurant we have ever been to. The food is outstanding, and not too pricey. Special occasion date for a couple is what I recommend. This is not a kid friendly restaurant, or a place for a family reunion. Couples only."

  • "Menu very confusing....one big menu for the "Experience" with very big prices...$63-76 per person. But on the regular menu a steak choice also under "The Fondue Experience" was $29.95. I would go there for a lower priced entrée but other is too high! We were only there for dessert this time to try the place, but I asked the server for clarification on the two different levels of pricing and he really didn't ever answer me clearly. Very confusing! However, on to dessert, which was AMAZING!! We had Original and Flaming Turtle. Just needed some pound cake squares and all would be perfect!! The poundcake would be a bit more bland so you could taste mainly the chocolate. For that reason, bananas and Rice Krispy treats were my favorite!"

  • "Melting pot is a great little romantic spot. The area reserved for private dining is great. If you choose one of the romantic packages they ensure that it's set up before you get there. The wine list is amazing. The service is quite possibly the best in town of any restaurant I've been to."

  • "Perfect as always. It was our 2nd time there for our Valentine's Celebration and it's never a disappointment. The dessert is my favorite part. I always say, I could go back just for dessert!"

  • "This was my boyfriend and my first time here. It was our Valentine's Day date. We both had a wonderful time. The food was delicious and the ambiance was very romantic--we both commented that we liked that the tables were tucked into their own spaces so we didn't have to participate in everyone else's dinner. Cooking the food at the table gave us an opportunity to savor it and slow down to enjoy the food and the company. :) Highly recommend! We will be back there again!"
