The waiter was very attentive and described the menu for us. We had the restaurant week 4 course menu which allowed us to sample lots of food at a better price. If we had ordered these ala carte it would have been very expensive (in my opinion!). I loved the decorating of the restaurant and it was very private for a romantic dinner. Food was very good. We had a sampling of the meats, our favorite was the sirloin beef. Didn't love the all dipping sauces but did like the terriaki and sweet & sour. It's a leisurely meal and you never feel rushed. Brandon, our server, is very knowledgeable about the menu and has great recommendations for pairings of wine, other drinks and the food as well as the selections of entrees with the particular type of sauces served. The Melting Pot is a place we like to go to about once a month to relax, have some good conversation, have a tasty, fun meal and enjoy excellent service.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband and I celebratedMy husband and I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary at The Melting Pot and had a wonderful time. It was the first time we were there for the four course experience as our other two trips were dessert only. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helped us with cooking our entree (which I was very nervous about). We went for my birthday with my husband and 2 girls. Dan the waiter was incredible. Being our first time there, he explained the process and menus with great detail and helped us out further when we still had questions. He made suggestions for dips that gave us an array of flavors to try for our first time. The "kids" menu was perfect for my picky eater children and 2 days later they are still talking about it and wondering when we can go back. The Melting Pot will probably be a Birthday tradition! Dan asked if we were there for a celebration, and surprised us with a candle lit Happy Birthday Cheesecake, 2 glasses of champagne and 2 glasses of ginger ale for the kids. I was very impressed by the classy atmosphere, as I had been expecting something a little more casual. The restaurant is set up with many little two person nooks that make for an intimate dinner, if desired. There was also a more open area with booths for larger parties. My server explained the menu and also what she was doing as she mixed the fondue ingredients into the pot. The food was excellent!
