We have gone to Melting Pot in various locations before but never in Knoxville. First our reservation started at 7pm and was supposed to end at 8:30pm. Instead we were there until almost 10pm due to the service taking so long. We had a great waiter it’s just they were short staffed. Our waiter was phenomenal considering the restaurant being out of things. The cheese fondue course was great but our salads came out on paper plates because they didn’t have any clean ones. Next came the entree and we love cooking in the oil but they were out of oil so we had a red wine sauce with mushrooms. The food was good but it didn’t taste as good with the red wine. We had ordered the lobster tail but were told when the entree came out they didn’t have any. The chocolate fondue was very good. For paying around $260, it did not live up to an upscale restaurant. We will definitely never go there again.

Not serving any alcohol. Place looked so run down. Gave me the ick. Food was good and loved our server but it just felt and looked so dirty.

They were out of a lot of food items and all drinks but coke. The staff was pleasant and apologetic but deterred our birthday celebration.

This review is based on last night's visit. It seems their supplier truck didn't arrive as scheduled and they were out of very basic items (Oil, white chocolates and more). Waited for 10 minutes for A host to show up. They did say when we arrived that they were out of certain items, but what are we supposed to do as all restaurants are already booked. So we sit down and as we ordered, more items were added to the list of missing items like artichoke for the spinach artichoke dip. Service was very nice, but not efficient. Dessert we wanted the yin Yang chocolate but then they told us they’re out of white chocolate. What I don’t understand is for basic items like oil and white chocolate why the manager didn’t go to a supplier store and bought some? Could be a chain restriction, but it’s much worse not having so many products. Above all, they also charged the same price as normal although items been ordered were missing ingredients. For me this shows a lack of respect to the customer and I will not be back there again

The server was terrific. Food was average-plus. The seating is such that the adjacent booth is so close as to remove any chance of privacy. The overall establishment had a slightly dank odor and we were told by the hostess they did not serve alcohol with the exception of one beer offering. Gratuity was added to bill for party of three. I do not recommend this particular restaurant.

We visited the restaurant in the afternoon on Mother's Day and were surprised to find many open tables. This was our second trip to the restaurant in two months, and in both trips we had a similar experience. Our server was excellent. However, during both trips to the restaurant we were advised that they had lost their liquor license, so beer was the only alcoholic beverage available. We had hoped that situation would be resolved by our second trip, but it wasn't. Both times we visited the restaurant they were also out of several different food items. This was disappointing. Although the servers did an adequate job of apologizing and trying to make up for it, upscale restaurants should not be experiencing frequent food shortages on items they serve every day. We felt that even though our particular server was great in both instances, there seemed to be a general lack of leadership at the restaurant. This particular location was not up to the standards we expected from visiting other locations in the past. We truly enjoy dining at the Melting Pot, so I hope our Knoxville location will upgrade their leadership soon and restore this restaurant to equal footing with the rest of the brand.

Mother's Day was a disaster. We had three different servers; the first ignored drink options and the third vanished for 20+ minutes. While the second tried to help, the manager was clueless. Our dessert was wrong and never flambéed. They gave a 50% discount but forced a 20% tip on a party of three. No accountability or care. This place has gone down hill, and I unfortunately will not be returning.

Overall everything was amazing. It was our first time going and the food was delicious. Our server was amazing. My only complaint is that it seemed that they were out of everything we wanted. It was a holiday weekend and it felt like they were unprepared. So that was disappointing
