Diner Reviews
  • "Great cheese and chocolate and the salads are super too! Service is wonderful!"

  • "My family has been to the Melting Pot before in our previous state. We brought friends along for dinner and as it was their first time, they were not sure of how things went. Our waitress rushed her explanation, then she did not bring out what they ordered to go with their cheese pairing, during the entree, she forgot about their specialty drink order, and tried to lie about one of the features of the desert saying that it must have been on a menu online for a different venue, when we just read it on the desert menu for Wake Forest. Will think again before returning. "

  • "We were there for two hours. It took a full 30 minutes for us to get a drink; then it wasn't refilled until after the meal was through. Waiter forgot about us throughout the meal. Broth for meat was bland and did nothing for the flavor. I could have poached the chicken in plain water with equal results. My teen liked the experience and food; I did not. "

  • "the melting pot is a good place for special occasions and romantic nights out. the meal although does not come with any pre-meal bread or snack which is expectable because its not really a great place for kids. The overall experience was good. my favorite part of dinner was the desert!"

  • "The Melting Pot is my wife's favorite restaurant. We dine here several times a year; most recently, for her birthday. As always, it was an awesome dining experience."

  • "Food was good! First time at the place. It doesnt seem like alot of food at first, but we were stuffed after the four course meal. Everything was great, from presentation to taste! Our waiter was nice and fun, although she disappeared for long periods of time. Overall, Melting Pot is a good choice for a nice romantic date night/special occasion."

  • "When we arrived there was a group of friends talking to one of the waiters. They were blocking the entrance at the hostess desk, talk about personal stuff and loud. I don't care about the car you want o buy and the 10 g you have to put down on it. We had reservations, but with all the car talk we had to wait 10 min for the waiter t clear the area and allow the host/hostess to seat groups ahead of us. After that, the service was exceptional as it always is, and no further complaints."

  • "Wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion. Food is fabulous and the ambiance allows for romance or just friends enjoying each other's company."

  • "This was our first time to The Melting Pot and it was a pleasant experience. Our service and food were very good. It was a little noisy for my taste as I imagined it to be a more private experience for 2 people but there were several large groups dining as well. The noise level was never too high so it wasn't much of an issue and would not sway me from returning."

  • "I have been to the Melting Pot several times over many years for special occasions. The food and service are great! I highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "We had a girls' night out at The Melting Pot of Raleigh. You can't go wrong with any of their cheese or dessert fondues, which are above average compared to other fondues (but how often do you get to compare fondues?). The salads are also slightly above average, but I wouldn't go just for the salads. The entree pots are better for the experience than the flavor, so we skipped them this time. The service was slow getting started, but the waiter was otherwise attentive and later made sure we made it out of the restaurant on time after we told him we were running behind schedule. It was a very busy night. All in, I recommend The Melting Pot for adult outings when you're looking to step it up a notch from your average dining experience."

  • "It was the first time that my date and I had ever been to The Melting Pot! The staff was very friendly. My date and I really had a good time! The table seating was a little small for only two people, the food was really good but a little on the salty side."

  • "The fondue is good; however the price is very high for what you get."

  • "Our service provider was slow. The Pork was bad and had to be returned and we were given other meat as a subdstitute. Parking Lot too small had to part actoss the street."

  • "The fact that we remembered our servers name (Marcus) says alot about the type of service we received. Even the manager was very helpful when i told him about my shellfish allegy and did the besy they could to accommodate us even on such a busy night."

  • "My boyfriend and I returned to the melting pot, this time during TRW. I have a gluten allergy so we both had a gluten free experience. The service was mediocre, we arrived when they opened, at 5pm and had a reservation. Our server was very slow and we waited about 15 to 20 minutes for our drinks, which were brought out with the cheese course. The cheese was great, and the gluten free bread was acceptable. However, the server brought my boyfriend regular bread, even though we made it clear we would be keeping our table completely gluten free. The main course was fantastic! Dessert was the most disappointing, the GF brownie was awful. I thought there were far too many kids being VERY loud next to us, which ruined this"romantic" evening."

  • "At first the cost blows your mind, but after seeing how much food you actually get and how stuffed you get; it is totally worth it! Great ambience, service and food!"

  • "We went for the Triangle Restaurant week special. This was great. Food was awesome as always. Our server was a bit lacking. When she was there she was great, very pleasant, helpful, etc. But she would be absent for long stretches wondering where she was. She did bring our son bananas to eat which was very nice because he was not being very compliant eating anything else. Overall a good experience. Won't bring our son again until he is drastically older, being 2 was a mistake on our part."

  • "What a fun night my girlfriends and I had at the Melting Pot on 1/24. From the moment we walked in the restaurant, we were treated with such kindness and warmth. Everyone from the greeters to the bartender to the manager made us feel welcomed and appreciated. Our fantastic waiter, Ryan, was personable, knowledgeable, and attentive. We took advantage of the Restaurant Week 3-course meal, which was superb and quite filling. At no point did we feel rushed to finish our dining experience. If anything, we felt encouraged to savor our time there, which we did with gusto! Thanks to this marvelous staff, our girlfriends night out was one we will remember fondly for a long time to come."

  • "My family spends every Christmas Eve having fondue. For the past few years, we have been able to dine at The Melting Pot for our fondue tradition. It makes the evening so much fun not having to worry about prepping the food or washing the dishes. The change to the menu has made the meal that much more enjoyable!"

  • "the service at all levels was fantastic. Altho, we had a party of 4 and one was abt 15-20 mins late, it did not alter the friendliness of the staff or the service that was provided. Our special occasion was very nice - thanks to the staff at Melting Pot."

  • "Went for a girls night out after a crazy hectic week. Couldn't have asked for a better place to relax and unwind with the girls. The food was delicious, server was awesome, and the chocolate fontinis were just want the doctor ordered. Can't wait to go back."

  • "Perfect place for an anniversary celebration! The only disappointing aspect of the night was a table who had never been before, and asked our server a TON of questions, which did retract from him frequenting our table. But our server was fantastic, as was his trainee!"

  • "This trip was a little crowded (it was ladies night out, which we weren't there for), and they've changed the menu somewhat, which was a little off-putting for two 10-year veterans of the place. but the food was still delicious and they now carry a gluten-free bread for the cheese at the Raleigh location. I had the gluten-free cupcake and brownie with the chocolate on my last visit and we chose to just get a fruit tray this time, which was much better (the brownie was good, but the cupcake thing was gross last time). I love that they're trying to make the experience as well-rounded for gluten-free diners as others. It would be nice to see some of their seasoned meat options become gluten-free eventually."

  • "We loved everything, except the one really loud table nearby. Otherwise, it was fantastic!"

  • "My wife and I celebrated our anniversary with an excellent meal and service. The ONLY drawback was the presence of two large parties at other tables near us (one celebrating a child's birthday and the other a bachelorette party) who were rather loud and took away from any "romantic" atmostphere. The restaurant in Charlottesville (Virginia) has a special -somewhat secluded- area for those celebrating a romantic event and, should this restaurant (Raleigh, NC) remodel, I would suggest they consider such an area or possibly higher backed booths.. But, with this very LIMITED exception, the evening was another GREAT experience. Great food, friendly and attentive service, and something we hope to repeat next year (if not sooner)."
