"This is a great dining experience, but is definately for special occasions. My wife and I went out for her birthday and without drinks for the four course meal you are looking close to $100 for a couple. It is well worth it but could not do it weekly."

"Being french canadian, I love fondue! It's part of my culture and eating habits. I have to admit I was a litle nervous going in, although all my friends had recommended it. I have to say I was plansantly surprised at how amazing the food was. For an instant, I felt back home again. When you go to the Melting Pot, you are not only eating food, but you get the whole experience that comes from eating, not just the food. The lighting, music, service, everything is centered on you, the customer. It felt very intimate, almost like a private cathering. There is no rush to eat or leave, just a good time! Will definitely be going back again!"

"I enjoyed my visit at the Newport News Melting pot. There were two things that I didn’t particularly care for. This was our first visit to the melting pot and the hostess was a little on the rude side. The hostess kind of talked to me and my husband like we were kids. The other thing there was a spider in our cooking pot. No one noticed until my husband said something. My wonderful waiter removed it and then replaced it with a new cooking pot. Other than those two things we had a wonderful experience."

"Used the online reservation to book for a party of 4. I would think that if it was for 4 people, I would have been asked if I wanted 2 burners or 1. After arriving at the restaurant, we were seated and there was only one burner in t he middle of the table. I told them that I had a reservation for 4 and wanted a table with 2 burners. I was told that only if your party is 5 or more do you get 2 burners. I told her there wasn't an option on the website reservation for that. The waitress told me I needed to put that in the comments block and request it. Seriously? For the price we pay when we dine there, YOU should fix your website and make that known to your patrons and not ASSUME that everyone knows this is how it is done."
