I was very pleased with the Melting Pot. It was our first visit and we loved how the waiter, Jeremy and the host took the time to explain how to order. The waiter took good care of us and made it a very enjoyable experience.

Perhaps the biggest rip off in a dining experience and the longest night. Sub quality food served in tiny portions by inexperienced wait staff. The choices are good for food but not for desert. You get what they give you and dip it in the chocolate you choose. I think they should allow you to choose what you want to dip for desert.

We had a great time. Service was great, so was the ambiance and food. I thought it was a little strange that we had to wait so long for our dessert course while watching 2 other tables who came after use get theirs, but all and all, a good time.

The food and drink choices are always amazing. It's fun, the food is fresh, and the end result is fantastic. It's expensive...we spent $150 for two..four course meal with drinks. Our meal called for sirloin and they ran out. Our server wasn't very attentive. He served the salad without dressing and our waters stayed empty. You can do better Bobby! But the sauces, spices, flavors, and fun drinks like TN tea made it another wonderful meal. We do expect a higher level of service overall that fits the atmosphere, but the product and experience are very unique and worth the visit.

Food was good, cheese was amazing, all the staff were excellent!!!! I went for my birthday dinner and it I'd definitely a birthday I will never forget. We had love martinis at the bar, a newly added cheese fondue appetizer, the land and sea entree, and the flaming turtle dessert. It was all great! Highly recommend for any special occasion. We had so much fun and everyone from the hostess, bar staff, and waiters were very helpful and genuinely nice....the whole evening took several hours, due to our many courses, which I count as time well spent!

The food was very good however it took 4 hours to get through our dinner. We had a very hard time understanding everything you offer on your menu to place our order. Too many choices and way too confusing to understand what went with what. We ordered drinks and were told that the bar was backed up so we did not receive our drinks for quite awhile and had to ask our waiter many times where our drinks were. We placed our food order and had to wait quite awhile for the food. I and our group will most likely not return and will not give this restaurant a high recommendation to others. The manager was very nice and we enjoyed his sense of humor.

First, a small inconvenience of not finding our open table reservation booked on the same day (they claim they only see open table reservations made 24 hours in advance), they were able to accommodate us, so beware.... It's a nice restaurant to bring someone on a date. Good service. Slightly expensive, but fun to cook your own meal... I would absolutely come back in a special occasion.

  • WHERE IS THE QUALITY

After dinner at another location, my wife and I visited the Nashville, TN Metlting Pot for dessert to cap off a night of celebrating my 33rd bday. What we hoped for certainly is not what we got. The romantic time to sit and talk while indulging in quality food dipped in a slowly melted fondue was more like sardines crammed into a damp dungeon with a pot of already melted chocolate thown on a dirty oven burner with a plate of food that my 5 year old boys would turn there nose at. I wouldn't give $2 a head for lthe ess than average service, poor ambience, poor food quality, and the presentation was so poor I have nothing to compare it to. We were in and out in about 20 minutes b/c the experience was SO BAD!

Food was very bland. Service was slow despite restaurant being fairly empty. Price is up there with expensive restaurant despite the fact that the food is just bland and very run of the mill. They charge per person for a pot of fondue appetizer. basically paid $32 for a pot of "velveeta". Entrees - had teriyaki steak, filet, chicken and shrimp. paid extra for Coq au vin to "add flavor". Tasted like boiled meat. Dessert was OK. I would not go again. For the money there are much better restaurants in Nashville.

We've celebrated special occasions at Melting Pot restaurants throughout the country. Although the staff here tried their best to make our evening pleasant, the proximity of our booth to others took away the romantic ambience we've enjoyed at other Melting Pot restaurants. We also noticed that both the cheese and chocolate fondue pot seemed a little less full than we remembered from other Melting Pots. I don't know if that is a local or corporate decision.

It has been awhile since I have been to The Melting Pot. I took my daughter for the very first time. The portions of food have shrunk so considerably and yet the prices have skyrocketed, what happened to this place? My daughter is 8, I ordered 2 full adult meals, paid $120, and we both left hungry. It was a long time since I last frequented this restaurant and I have to honestly say I won't go back, we were both so disappointed.

I am a big fan of The Melting Pot. The do-it-yourself fondue forces people to eat slowly and enjoy the time spent with one another. The quality of the food is very good, and the desserts are top-notch. It is a little pricey (about $40 per person, not including alcohol), but I would highly recommend it, especially if you are looking for something a little different.

Even though I had a reservation I waited almost 30 minutes to be seated. The hostess said the Open Table reservations had to be manually checked and they hadn't checked recently. I made my reservation about an hour before. Once seated the hostess had a nice explanation of the restaurant, but then I sat with no contact for over 10 minutes. No water or drinks. Eventually I was waited on by 3 different servers as my server was new and running behind. At one time my broth for my meat had been boiling for over 10 minutes but no meat to cook in it. My tradition Swiss cheese fondue was not much with flavor and it my favorite so I know the way it usually is. On this particular experience the service was much slower than usual.

We arrived before our reservation and had to wait to be seated. Once seated, the first 2 courses went by with perfect timing. After the entree, we had to wait a while for our table to be cleared. The food was great, as always. The service was an 8 out of 10. We will return in the future. Make sure to use the valet service out front. It's cheaper than the parking and you don't have to walk :)

  • Fixed menu a treat

    Dined on 7/18/2013
We went for the fixed menu with a different Coppola wine with each course. The food was excellent and so were the accompanying sauces. The staff were knowledgeable and polite and delivered the courses in a timely manner. We had a little problem with the bill at the end but it was fixed immediately. My only other complaint was the amount of time we had to wait to be seated - nearly ten minutes after our reservation time. The waiting area annexed from the restaurant tables so we had no idea what was going on. It was kind of like sitting in a doctor's waiting room. The seating area is dark and not very comfortable and when asked if it would be much longer, we were told to just be patient.
