  • "It is easy to say that everything about THE MELTING POT is amazing. The location, environment, service, the food is excellent."

  • "We have been to the Melting Pot several times. It is a really cool building and fondue has a "special occasion" feel to it. It is pricey, but you get a lot of food and it is all very good."
    Dined on 7/16/2014
  • "I went in with my family for birthday celebrations and i honestly couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate the special occasion. Anthony was amazing! The 4 of us each got the 4 course, stating off with the spinach artichoke dip, mojo was our cooking style, ending with the delicious mixture of white and dark chocolate "Yin Yang". Ill be heading back for ladies night next month! Thank you so much for an amazing experience Melting pot Larkspur :)"

  • "Great food, the cheese course is by far my favorite. Service was very slow this time - and we were never asked if we would like another drink."
    Dined on 7/15/2014
  • "Received a coupon from a friend for a special occasion and this was an adventure. The ambiance was indeed pleasant, the staff attentive and drinks well made. This style of dining is NOT my cup of tea. If I am going to spend over $100 on a meal for two I prefer the entree prepared for me and not self serve. Also I am not accustomed to having dinner take over 3 hours. The conversation yes, but the food prep and cooking of no. Many thanks to the manager Julio who made experience fun and my buddy for the meal. Next time I will find a nice Sushi bar."

  • "Poor food + bad hostess attitude + high prices = very low rating. Will not return."
    Dined on 7/13/2014
  • "We were a large group celebrating and had a great time. Really fun way to eat and socialize. One tip - order less than the number of people you are. We ordered for 5-6 for a group of 9 (including one vegetarian and one child) and it was perfect."
    Dined on 7/12/2014
  • "We ate here for our daughter's 20th birthday, and it was a great success. She said it was possibily her best dinner ever. Really good food and lots of fun to choose the courses and cook and eat at the table."
    Dined on 7/11/2014
  • "We are frequent customers, but have not been there for six months. In the meantime, the staff has changed and worse of all they eliminated the Traditional Cheese fondue and the new one has different ingrediants. Different chesses and no sherry. What a mistake. The Traditional was very smooth and had a better flavor than the new one. Very disappointing. Also, the service was super slow. Our server was nice, but overwhelmed. Managers use to be more friendly. Not sure if I will go back."

  • "It ids in an old brick kiln. The whole place is made of brick and is really cool inside. It has no cell reception so you are actually isolated from the rest of the world. Good place to get away and have a romantic dinner. Located right on the San Francisco Bay and is a short walk from the Ferry Landing."
    Dined on 7/4/2014
  • "Pros: Great atmosphere, located in an old brick kiln's ovens....rather dark with one spot light directly over the center of the table lighting the fondue pot....rather romantic. Arched ceiling that kills sound reverberations. Service that was as relaxed as it was timely. I liked the fact that their wines-by-the-glass were in the $6 to $9 range. Cons: The cheese fondue had too many "other" flavors added which tarnished the cheese flavor. The sauces were too eclectic and needed some traditional ones such as BBQ and blue cheese."

  • "The restaurant was quiet, lights were low, a very nice setting. The building is old and brick and adds to the coziness of the restaurant. Will dine again."
    Dined on 7/1/2014
  • "The food and service were, as usual, great. Service exceeded expectations this time. The management managed to make a last minute table adjustment for us and pulled together a desert fondue that we loved but was no longer on the menu."

  • "We went here because were given a gift certificate. It was the best gift ever. We had no idea of what kind of experience it would be, but it was awesome. I would recommend this to anyone. It is a great romantic little getaway or just a great evening out."

  • "My 14 year old and 20 year old love the Melting Pot. Service was great. They did special decorated plates for my son's start of Spain trip, and daughter's birthday and return from Australia. This is their number one location for celebrations. But trips here are limited because of the very, very high cost for family of 3."

  • "Very good food, great to share. Service was excellent. Definitely recommend!"

  • "Nice for dates, I was seated at "couples row" or something like that, got a bottle of champagne for an anniversary with the lady. Everything was great, Julio, one of the managers stopped by a couple of times which was nice. Kenji was our server he was good too. I do not know if it was that busy or not, our reservation was at 7:30pm, but the service was a bit slow. Seated at about 7:40pm and did not leave until about almost 10:30pm. Ordered the 4-course meal, it is a lot of food!"
    Dined on 6/20/2014
  • "I came with my husband and 2 younger kids. It was hard with them being so young, next time I would find a babysitter. The service was fast. The people ( not just our waitress) were nice and would come talk to us. The food was amazing. I am definitely coming again."

  • "If you have never tried The Melting Pot, I recommend you check it out on ladies night. The 3rd Wednesday of each month they do a 3 course prix fixe menu. Great way to be introduced to the many options available. Ladies night also offers specialty cocktails at a discounted price. What could be better. Be sure to make reservations."

  • "Love the menu.. Always a bit pricey but worth it for special occasions and the deliciously prepared courses. A bit slow on service. Our server forgot about us about 3 times and we had to go looking for her."
    Dined on 6/17/2014
  • "We went to the Melting Pot for our 35th wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful experience. They treated us great, very attentively. They even gave us a special dessert plate with "Happy 35th Anniversary" on it. It's a great restaurant to go to for a special occasion. A unique and exciting dining experience."
    Dined on 6/17/2014
  • "The food was for the most part very good (except the chicken was very bland) but my chief complaint is that we were seated in an area of the restaurant where we RARELY even saw our waiter so whenever we needed something we had to wait long periods of time. I was with 3 younger kids and we were there almost 3 hours. The wait between the main course and the desert was over 30 minutes."
    Dined on 6/16/2014
  • "I am so excited because I go here every three or four month and this time was the best I have ever had. The food has always been great but this time it was the best service I have ever had. Thanks to the manager and thanks to the best server I have ever had too!"
    Dined on 6/14/2014
  • "We came here for our son's graduation. The whole evening was fantastic. There was a magician who entertained us. The wait staff was amazing. Everyone made us feel right at home. The food was great and more than enough. We had a wonderful evening."

  • "Took my daughter for her 17the birthday her first time and she loved it, It was a bit noisy this time as a couple of families where there but it didn't big me too much, great waitress, great food"
    Dined on 6/13/2014
  • "While the food was acceptable our server was invisible. It is rare that we have to lit r ally hunt down. The server but this night we did. My daughter loves this place while my wife won't step near it. This was a dad and daughter event that is likely our last."
    Dined on 6/10/2014
  • "Was not impressed with this place. Our waitress was no where to be found. In fact, another waiter noticed we were waiting too long to be served. Also, it was my daughter's graduation party. All the waitress brought out was a plate with a small sliver of a slice of banana.....just to hold up the lit candle! That was it!!! No piece of cake or brownie? Nothing else? As expensive as this place is, they could have made her day a little more special. Very disappointed. I'd rather eat at the Cheesecake Factory or Benihana! You would get more for your money, and better food!"

  • "The burner we had took a little longer than expected to heat up and the manager thought it was broken. Otherwise we had a great time and loved the food!"

  • "My fiance and I came here for our 3 year anniversary & to celebrate being newly engaged. We had an amazing dinner! The staff were all so sweet and accommodating. When they took us to the our hide-away booth (that's what I like to call them anyways!) they had rose pedals on our table for us. Absolutely sweet. The food was all sooo delicious! Our waitress asked the story of how we became engaged and I gladly divulged this information :) lol and with our dessert she came out with a chocolate picture of our proposal! It was the most thoughtful and unique thing I have ever seen done!!"

  • "We had been to this restaurant less than 2 weeks prior, so when our anniversary arrived we cancelled at Ruth's Chris in Walnut Creek and headed back to The Melting Pot. Everything was perfect, quiet table for 2 excellent 4 course dining, a couple of adult beverages and it was a super evening."
    Dined on 5/31/2014
  • "Great selection of menu options to put in the pot. Service was excellent and prompt."
    Dined on 5/30/2014
  • "Great service from Fernando, food was very fresh. Sesame Tuna was the best followed by steak and chicken. Abundant veggies were good complement. We went with stock with red wine..coq su vin..perfect fit and more healthy. Did the s'more and chocolate combo for dessert YES!"
    Dined on 5/23/2014
  • "I always love going here with my boyfriend. The food is delicious - my favorite dessert is the s'mores! Everything is always great, but the only thing I have to complain about is the service. They should hire friendlier/more attentive staff if they're going to charge that much for food. "
    Dined on 5/22/2014
  • "I think I probably experienced the worst service ever at this restaurant. It took forever for our waiter to show up to our table and then he seemed to disappear between courses. It was just awful - we had 8:15pm reservations and left the restaurant close to 10:30pm - and there were just two of us. Some of the food was good - the cheese fondue was excellent, as was the salad and dessert. The fish dish we ordered was horrible...I would definitely recommend anyone going to this restaurant go for a three course meal - it is plenty of food. I don't think I will be returning. "

  • "I took my wife and daughter to MP for a Mother's Day dinner, and my wife said it was the best Mother's Day ever. My daughter is almost 10 yo, and she loved the food and the ambiance. Daughter needs to be entertained and this was definitely an exciting night for her. Thank you Miguel for the amazing service that night, you really made it a special evening for us!"

  • "It's always a fun time for Fondue. The price tag may be a bit high but the ingredients are fresh and atmosphere is great."
    Dined on 5/11/2014
  • "The Melting Pot is a perfect spot to celebrate special occasions. The food is delicious and the ambience is spectacular. The servers check back frequently. Plan to be there at least two hours, as you are never rushed through the three to four courses. Come hungry."
    Dined on 5/11/2014
  • "Four family members and I ate lunch here for Mother's Day, and we had a very nice time. The waiter was friendly, attentive, and prompt. The food was very good. The setting, a brick building that used to be a kiln, has historic interest that would intrigue those who are into that kind of thing. I would eat here again. It is pricey, but you are paying for the uniqueness of fondue-style eating. "
