The salads were great as was the dessert; if I were to go again, it would not be on a holiday and I would only order a salad and a dessert. I recommend this as an excellent place to come for dinner or dessert, although it would be more budget-conscious to come for dessert only, plus I think I would've preferred to skip the entree as we were all pretty full after the second course (cheese fondues and then salad) and just had enough room for dessert. Most of us didn't finish our entree which was pretty pricey. After finally returning, all we can say is that it;s a great place to relax, reconnect and romantically catch up. It's hard to be anything but relaxed with the ambience and delicious food. We love the fact that most of the restaurant is booths. I can't stand paying good money for a meal that I eat shoved up next to our dining neighbors. At melting pot you feel like you're in your own little cave. The food is really good. I love the cheese fondue and the dessert best, but the main course is good too.
The only down side is that when you first walk in, it smells like a hamster cage. But it's still worth it.

My main criticism would be that while they tell you how long to cook the meats and veggies- they do not provide you with a timer- even two sand timers with both 2 min and 90 second intervals would work. I'm lucky that my boyfriend was wearing his only watch with a working chronograph or we would have been SOL.
