($225 for 2 adults, 2 kids, no alcohol, with tip) Also, cheddar cheese in a fondue is just not fondue; sorry folks, but a traditional fondue should always be a choice at a fondue restaurant. The salads were great as was the dessert; if I were to go again, it would not be on a holiday and I would only order a salad and a dessert. I recommend this as an excellent place to come for dinner or dessert, although it would be more budget-conscious to come for dessert only, plus I think I would've preferred to skip the entree as we were all pretty full after the second course (cheese fondues and then salad) and just had enough room for dessert. Most of us didn't finish our entree which was pretty pricey. After finally returning, all we can say is that it;s a great place to relax, reconnect and romantically catch up. It's hard to be anything but relaxed with the ambience and delicious food. It was super convenient as we took the Larkspur Ferry to the Giants game and back. However, the game was shorter than we had planned But luckily the staff was very accommodating about changing our reservation.

Also, they really need to teach the employees how to serve wine properly. Built into an old brick oven, it's just one of the neatest places you'll ever eat. We love the fact that most of the restaurant is booths. I can't stand paying good money for a meal that I eat shoved up next to our dining neighbors. At melting pot you feel like you're in your own little cave. The food is really good. I love the cheese fondue and the dessert best, but the main course is good too.
The only down side is that when you first walk in, it smells like a hamster cage. But it's still worth it.
This is a fun, relaxing place to dine. We're looking forward to bringing our kids here (when they're old enough to not touch the hot pot) :)4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was great. My main criticism would be that while they tell you how long to cook the meats and veggies- they do not provide you with a timer- even two sand timers with both 2 min and 90 second intervals would work. I'm lucky that my boyfriend was wearing his only watch with a working chronograph or we would have been SOL.
