Diner Reviews
  • "The food and service were amazing. Miguel is the best server ever! We had been here for dinner one other time and it was fun too, but the service this time was incredible which makes the whole dining experience that much better. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is different, fun, and romantic. A little pricey but worth it!"

  • "Table was WAY too small and service was rushing our large party into making decisions about drinks, cheeses, well, everything. Cheese and dessert course were good. Entrée was not good. I don't think I'd go back for a full meal again, but perhaps for appetizers and dessert. It was fun, but there were definitely some very low points."

  • "My husband and I visited as part of a promotion. The place was busier than usual but our server was still awesome. Great service and great food. Join their email list and you too will receive deals and freebies."

  • "Took my daughter for her 11th Birthday, her request, and had an excellent experience. The wait staff was more then helpful and attentive to all of our needs. Wendy was very specific and caring in setting up the balloons and roses, so it was a definite WOW factor for my daughter. They have my undying gratitude and a customer for life."

  • "My server was the best I've ever had!! Emmanuel was excellent. She cater to our every need, we needn't ask for anything-- she was on top of everything. Knowledgeable about the menu, drinks and wine, and about the buildings history. When we come back we hope that she's still there, and would ask to be sat in her section again. The food of course is why we went there. We were celebrating my 25 birthday, and again back to my server. She really went out her way.... At the end of the meal she came out with a chocolate decorated plate, that read "happy birthday Lindsey" it had a candle and fresh strawberries, She said she wasn't a very good singer and so she thought this would be hopefully just as special. I LOVED THAT. I felt so special"

  • "Mira was extremely attentive. The 12yr old birthday boy was made to feel very important. She spoke directly to him and let him make all the choices. The food was fabulous. The Spinach and Artichoke fondue was wonderful and the Mojo broth brought out every flavor in the meats, vegies and seafood, The flaming Smores dip made this a Very special birthday celebration! Thank you!"

  • "Location, Not your usual spot. A historic location makes for an interesting and fun experience. Once you arrive and as you make your way to your table, it feels like you had to know a secret word to find and make it to this place. A speak-easy kind of place. Once in, the setting is great for a social or a romantic dinner. Service...WOW !! First time here. Don't know if we just lucked out or their whole staff is just as good, but our server's attentiveness made for a magnificent night. Because of the nature of the menu and the restaurant, it requires an attentive and knowledgable staff. Ours was a rockstar! Very amenable, knowledgable and timely. He even surprised us with a little something for our belated anniversary celebration. Thanks!"

  • "Brought my son for his 25th birthday. Had great food, and a very enjoyable dinner. Service was terrific! We had the 4-course dinner and left in a "food coma". Also had cocktails from the bar, and the White Peach Cosmo was I believe the best cocktail I've ever had in my life!"

  • "I've been to other Melting Pots so I knew what to expect with menu and service, but I was pleasantly surprised with the interesting location of this restaurant. It is located in an old brick kiln, and it was like being in a cave. It was dark and quite romantic. We were also pleased with the selections on the wine list and the very reasonable prices. We had the full four course meal which consists of cheese fondue, salad, main course (meat that you cook in broth or oil) and chocolate fondue. It was fun, but it definitely takes a while to make it all the way through. It's nice to have an unrushed meal out, so that is a plus in my book! Much to our surprise they were also very kid friendly! Service was great as was the food."

  • "This spot is in an old converted brick factory with stunningly rustic interior and outstanding food. It's a seemingly odd combination but it works. The food is fondu. Although it's pricey, it is well worth the splurge. It's fun and different and the food is simply delucious. Don't be put off by the set up of the menu. Let the wait staff explain the process. Relax and enjoy!"

  • "This is a fun place go to if you're celebrating something special. It's too pricy for a "let's go out to dinner" kind of place. Our waiter was wonderful and the food was good. One think that can't be changed is that the seats are very small. We're not big people but the booths are very cozy. It's also quite warm in there."

  • "Our server told us the story of the building as he prepared out cheese fondue infront of us! Everything was amazing and it's the perfect spot for a romantic dinner for two of even a nice dinner to celebrate a birthday or certain achievement in a classy way!"

  • "The quantity of food taking into account the fondue concept doesn't warrant the high fee for the meals. The classic fondue selection included only two bit size slices of each, sirlion, chicken, pork, shrimp and teriyaki sirloin. Portion sizes and experience together don't warrant high cost. The restaurant was extremely hot, almost to uncomfortable levels. Since the dining process with the fondue pots does take time, the restaurant needs to be sensitive to the temperature especially since I am sure all the cooking at each table does increase the temperature. The cost wasn't worth the experience and the (other than the actual fondue sauces/marinades) were simple proteins and raw vegetables."

  • "We recently went with another couple who are foodies like us. The food was good quality, large portions that could handle just about anybody, and the service was very good. We will return."

  • "This is my first time been this restaurant. It was a nice restaurant but the service was not that great. After we sat down have to wait for 20 mins still cannot found our server back. We have spend total of 3 1/2 hours in order to finished our dinner. Thx"

  • "This was our first time at The Melting Pot. We were celebrating a birthday and anniversary, both the host and our server acknowledged both events. Our server explained and helped us achieve a great dining experience. We had a lot of fun and left the restaurant extremely happy."

  • "My husband and I make it to Melting Pot a few times a year, and it never fails to please. This time we took advantage of a promotion called the Crave Combo. In this combo they paired the cheese fondue with a glass of wine and then the chocolate fondue with another glass of wine. It was the perfect amount for dinner - not too much and not too little. Thank you!"

  • "I love their food and they make great cocktails. Service was very slow last time I went there on my birthday."

  • "It was a spectacular night. The crave combo is the perfect idea with the perfect pairings. It's just enough food between the cheese and chocolate fondue. Hope they offer this wonderful deal at least once a month or more. Truly delightful!"

  • "This was literally the best dining experience I have ever had. This was more than just an outstanding meal, this was entertainment! Watching the staff mix and prepare the pots, and being able to actually cook our own entrees together was so special. I have lived in Northern California all if my life, but I have never eaten here. I cannot believe what I have missed! What a delight. Highly recommended."

  • "This was my first time at the melting pot. It was recommended by a friend. The atmosphere is very nice and romantic. Its a dining experience like nothing ive ever had. Great food and it allows for a do it yourself type of way so it is very hands on. Would definitely go back."

  • "Between the ambiance, the quality of the food and the excellent service, the Melting Pot in Larkspur is the perfect place for a special occasion. Make sure you have adequate finances, as you'll just keep wanting to try additional flavors of the delicious savory and chocolate fondues, which will jack up your bill. Our server was very friendly and helpful with the somewhat confusing menu, and watching her make our orders right at the table was fun. My only criticism is because the menu is kind of confusing, it was hard to gauge how much we were spending as we ate and ate and ordered and ordered. But I definitely want to go back to try more selections and hang out with friends in the lovely atmosphere."

  • "We came here for our daughter's 25th birthday celebration. The food was great and has huge portions. All on all a great evening. I recommend asking for Marvin's section if you want an attentive and charming young man. Couldn't have been better. Thanks again everyone at The Melting Pot for making our evening the best!"

  • "The service was completely fine, nothing special, nothing of note was missed. The food was boring and the fondue we cooked our entree in tasted like top ramen broth (really people?!). The ambiance, albeit somewhat corporate, was pretty nifty as it was in a brick kiln style setting - Very unique. All the staff was very friendly, though the kitchen needs to up the ante on their product. Good for that must-have-fondue-and-you're-in-southern-Marin-county evening, but otherwise missable."

  • "The Melting Pot is great place when you want to take your time and savor your meal and enjoy some conversation with your loved ones and friends. It is more of a dining experience than a meal. We have gone once a year for the last few years and enjoy it every time. The spinach and strawberry salad on valentines day is excellent but it isn't always there. It is hard for my wife and I to pick a favorite course but it probably is a tie between the cheese fondue & the chocolate dessert fondue. Our least favorite is the main course to be honest and even that is great because you get 5 different types of meat/seafood and 1 type of pasta to cook in your fondue pot."

  • "Love the venue, the interior of a brick kiln, intimate, romantic, low noise level. Great service, friendly staff, love the bar. Fondue choices are outstanding, love the format, no rush, take your time and enjoy. We keep coming back whenever we need a special night."

  • "We thourghly enjoyed our first visit to the melting pot!The service was excellent and the food was just as good. We recommend the four course meal for anyone who has never been to the melting pot and make sure you pace yourself .the portions are hearty.Do not leave without having the chocolate fondue and touring the restaurant. The restaurant is easy to get to and lots of parking. We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving and the staff is very accommodating. They even have menu options for all allergy types even gluten free."
