We tried the "Food Fanatic" special, with Old Bay-seasoned shrimp (a bit on the spicy side for kids), garlic chicken and steak with a spice rub. Very flavorful. Cheese course fondue was a major hit, cheddar and lager with bacon. Salads were excellent as well, and dessert fondues were to-die-for. We were seated in a small booth in the back and my boyfriend thought I had requested it (we've had issues at other restaurants in regard to seating). The little booth was perfect for us - quiet, alone and not getting bumped into by everyone in the restaurant (looking at you Nectar!). Started with fast seating at the table followed by a congratulations card waiting for us. The waitress was amazing at explaining how and what we were supposed to do. I did not know that you cook all your food right there at the table but it was very easy.
The only downside of this restaurant is that you and your date will have to agree on a style to cook your food since there is only one pot at the couples table. The 4 course was what we chose, and was able to experience the full melting pot experience. Without having any knowledge of the type of restaurant this was, it was interesting to find that we had to cook our own food! It was fun, and engaging. Our server Jessica was wonderful, attentive and fun. I enjoyed the salad so much, she even noticed this and the manager gave us the excess salad dressing (since it was only to be used that one night) to take home.

We ordered one 4 course meal which was plenty of food for two people. For the cheese fondue we had the Wisconsin Trio. The dippers are vegetables (broccoli, carrots)and Bread (white and wheat squares). We got a salad which was really delicious. I don't remember the name of it. For the meats we had filet mignon, shrimp, chicken, and lamb. The tastiest were the shrimp and the pork. The Filet was disappointing. For dessert we ordered the bananas foster fondue. As always the dippers were fantastic. May be a bit too sweet. What struck us was the fantastic service. I'm not sure if all Melting Pot locations are laid out the same, but this one provided small secluded booths for couples, which my fiancee and I utilized, that provide great privacy. You know, when you want to feed each other and not have others see it. ;) Glancing around it also appeared that there were tables designed for larger groups as well. The service got off to a slightly slow start, but picked up after then and stayed great throughout. The food is good, not great, with the exception of dessert, which really is great. Fresh fruits, cakes, rice crispies, marshmallows - can't go wrong there! The best value is the "pick-4" menu.
