The Melting Pot - KennesawExcellent ExperienceMy husband and I absolutely love the Melting Pot. We have been going the past 5 years to celebrate our Anniversary and any other special occasion we have. But do you really need a special occasion to go this fabulous restaurant?! We have been to all of the Atlanta area restaurants and our favorite for romantic scenes would have to be the one in Kennesaw. Always had excellent staff and great conversation. We had the 4 course with the Cheddar Cheese, Spinach and House Salads, both had "The Classic" for the main, and then the Bananas Foster for desert. Every item we ate was just ridiculous and our waiter, Storm, was awesome. It was a great experience, and the food was perfect.
On our first anniversary I wanted to take my wife to the Melting Pot, but when doing a little recon, I asked her what she thought of it, she said "don't you cook your own food there? I would rather stay home and cook my own food!" Our waitress greeted us in a friendly manner within a short time to take our drink order. I had the Cesar salad, steak and shrimp, and the white chocolate with amaretto dessert. What I didn't like, we had to add the cheese course; the cheese course is one of the best courses! I liked that you could choose how many portions of cheese you wanted. That ended up adding about $18 to our bill (about $9 per portion). The entree was entirely too small; I had chicken & filet and my friend had sirloin & shrimp. You only received about 4-6 pieces of each meat/seafood. If we hadn't added the cheese course, we would have walked out hungry! I was able to substitute the dark chocolate for the bananas foster which was great! I would definitely recommend trying Ladies Night Out or any promotion that is running as a way to experience The Melting Pot for a cheaper price! This is my favorite restaurant, and as usual, it did not disappoint. I leave the Melting Pot feeling very satisfied every time. The wife and I were celebrating our 5 year anniversary and were deciding between the Melting Pot, STK, Canoe and Fogo de Chao. I cant imagine a better dining experience. This was our first time there and we did the 4 course meal. Simply outstanding for every course!!!! I am a big guy, weighing roughly 340, and one of the highlights was the salad!!!! There is however room for improvement. The lights very so dim that we were offered a flashlight to read the menu. Then we had to switch the table because the fondue burner did not work. Food was very very good we got the cheddar fondue for the cheese and I think it my second favorite - Wisconsin trio is my favorite. we got the pick 3 entree. All I can say is the food was very very good. The service was impeccable. Our waiter was very knowledgeable plus very friendly and was a great help in managing through the new choices. It was great value and we enjoyed a very relaxing evening with our adult aged son who lives in the Kennesaw area. Our server, Aaron was very attentive, yet not annoying. We enjoyed the Irishman's Chocolate Fondue, but Aaron whipped up an outrageous dark chocolate fondue reminiscent of a Snickers Bar......yummy!

The staff were friendly and helpful but lacked in teamwork. The amount of cheese for the price was not worth what they charge.
