We went with another couple and all four of enjoyed it immensely. It's a fun experience that every one should try. I took my friend for the first time for his birthday and even though it took a while for him to catch on to the menu, he enjoyed himself. The entrees are not the best. Kind of bland, small portions, and definitely overpriced. If you are looking for a big meal, not the best place. Romantic lighting,upstairs away from the noise in a sort of nook table. The food was AMAZING. Loved the fiesta cheese, got the classic and fusion for our entrees and couldn't have been happier. We started out with drinks at the bar as we waited for our table, we arrived a bit early. Bartender was awesome, he asked when our reservations were for so that he could keep an eye on the time for us. It came reservation time and he advised that he would follow up for us to see where they were at with our table. We asked him to hold off as it was the last few mins of the SDSU Aztec game. The hostess came to get us just as the game ended, which was about 10 mins past our reservation time, but again worked out perfect this time!! Gave our credit card to he bartender to close out our tap and he said he would bring down our receipt to our table. Sure enough once we were seated he was there with our card and receipt.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMYou gotta try this place!Another great experience @ the Melting Pot. Great service, scrumptious food. The only thing that prevented absolute perfection was one other guest a few tables away whose voice was extremely loud, and he wouldn't stop talking - not MP's fault.
We loved the fact that we could pick and chose which dippers we could get w/ our chocolate, and they brought more when we ran out.
