Diner Reviews
  • "Not as cute or romantic as other Melting Pots I've been to. Apparently the space was formerly a bar and grill and it has retained that vibe. I had a "romantic" anniversary dinner with the baseball game playing on a big screen tv across the way. Otherwise the food is good, as expected."

  • "I've been here twice and both times I was very pleased with the amazing food and service. The waitresses and servers made me feel right at home. We had the cheddar fondue, then caesar salads, and for the main course we had the mojo cooking style. All of the food was very good. For desert we had the S'mores chocolate fondue and it was superb. Overall 5/5 would come again."

  • "The occasion was for a friend's birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience & had a good time laughing when food slipped off the fondue forks & we had to fish for it with the "emergency spoon". I would definitely recommend The Melting Pot to friends & I would return again myself."

  • "This is a good place to go for a special occasion or date night. The best part about the dining experience is the chocolate dessert. Cooking your food in whichever broth you choose is pretty fun too."

  • "Went with date for dinner. Great overall experience. All courses were spread out nicely giving us plenty of time to enjoy ourselves and not feel rushed. Server did a great job explaining everything. Food was delicious. Defiantly would recommend to a friend."

  • "We were well taken care of and had an excellent meal. Happy Hour prices and options were great. We will definitely go back."

  • "I had made a reservation here to celebrate my fiance's birthday.I even found a groupon and was stoked! He had been wanting to eat here for years.I mentioned the Groupon and was told there was a time restriction. We were going to reschedule our reservation. The manager said there was no need!We looked dressed up for a nice evening and she would hate to ruin our night. Once we were seated there was a birthday card signed by all the staff! Super sweet touch! Our server was amazing! She was super friendly, and helpful with navigating us around the menu. Both the managers made a point to come by our table and wish Marc a Happy Birthday and to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. The food was spectacular! We have told all our friends! We'll be back!"

  • "I took my family of 4 for dinner with a GROUPON and it was still very pricey and I'm not cheap. the cheese fondue was tasty, the sampler entre was rather tasteless, we had 3 little pieces of each and the Filet Mignon was chewy... For this price I'd rather go to Donovans or Mortons. Sorry Melting Pot but your food isn't of top quality and your prices should reflect that as well..."

  • "Great food, but unsatisfactory portions for the price per person when ordering fondue."

  • "Service was not good. It took 40 minutes to get our drinks."

  • "A unique dining experience. The service was outstanding. A la carte pricing made the meal quite pricey for what you get. Probably wouldn't return unless it's for a group experience."

  • "Food was excellent! The service was exactly to my expectations. But the Ambience...well, I'm a fan of Vin de Syrah, but having it under the Melting Pot and having to share bathrooms with sloppy-drunk people from Syrah is not my idea of good dinning ambience."

  • "Amazing food, wonderful ambiance, caring waitstaff. Not the best choice for young children. We were located at a small booth table and had to pull our 11 month old compleatly away from the table because of the hot plate."

  • "The food was outstanding however, the service was not. To begin with, the restaurant at this location is smaller than others I've been to, we could hear everyone's conversations. The waiters seemed rushed and were literally running all over the restaurant. It would help if the waiters would tell you if your drink has free refills when you order it rather than after your third one. My waitress took and eternity to check up on us and don't bother asking a different waiter for anything because he will not put in your request. For the best experience The Melting Pot has to offer, I recommend the location in Brea, California."

  • " My son took me here for Fathers Day and what a special treat it was. Totally different than the ordinary restaurant dinner, the food was fun to cook in the Fondu bowl and the desert was out of this world. 5stars, I will return."

  • "We have been to this Melting Pot location previously with great experiences every time. We had two hours before our theater time (7:30), and they assured us this would not be a problem, however, when we still did not have the main course by 7:10 we started to panic. Our server had disappeared for over 35 minutes! When our food finally arrived, we were only provided with 2 plates for a party of 4. We had to go ask another server for additional plates. We had to cook and eat the main course in 15 minutes -so we really could not enjoy it. We paid for four courses, but had to leave before the fourth course (dessert) was served. The manager was nice enough to provide us with coupons to come back for dessert another time."

  • "Joy was a wonderful and attentive server. Joy went above and beyond to make our date night wonderful. The are numerous fondue choices in regards to appetizers, vegetables, meats, cheese sauces, desserts, etc.... All of it was delicious."

  • "We liked the restaurant, but felt that for amount of food you receive, it is way overpriced."

  • "My husband and I went out with another couple who had never been to The Melting Pot. We love it and assured them they would too. It just happened to be prom night when we went so it was a little busy. We expected things to run a bit behind but we had no idea we would spend over three hours eating dinner. Most of that time was spent wondering where our server was. We waited so long for the main course we got up to get a manager and our check but the food showed up before we made it downstairs. By this time we were not enjoying ourselves and did not even want to wait for the best part! Dessert! To top it off, we received no apology for waiting so long. I felt terrible for dragging my friends along for a bad experience. :("

  • "Took my wife and daughter here for my daughters 16th birthday, the manager let me bring her birthday gifts in before the restaurant opened so that my daughter would not see the gifts before we got there"

  • "Upon arrival I was most disappointed because they did not honor what I had read about the pre-theater fix prix dinner. But after a small temper tantrum, Dee, the manager came over and calmed me and my friends and went way way above and beyond with her kindnesses. She more than compensated. Gave us a hand dipped box of strawberries to take to the theater and invited us back for complimentary chocolate fondue after the theater. She couldn't do enough and I am so looking forward to go there again, real soon."

  • "I am really impressed how easy it was for the servers to accomodate my wife's gluten-free requests. They had awesome options for all courses and the server was very knowledgable about each item. Food was amazing, our table was quiet and tucked away, and the waitress was personable. Additionally, the price was significantly lower than I was expecting to pay. A+ all around!"

  • "We had a great dinner at the Melting Pot! We enjoyed the 4 cheese fondue, salad, meat & seafood fondue, and Turtle fondue for dessert. Our waiter was helpful and attentive and went out of his way to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. All the food was absolutely delicious! Not a place to come if you are in a rush (as the courses take time to be served and to eat), but that is part of the fun :) Would highly recommend! "

  • "The wait of had sweat drip off his head into my cheese fondue as he stirred the cheese- To make it worse, my fondue had hairs in it! The manager comped $150 due to bad service! "
    Dined on 5/10/2014
  • "I waited for 45 minutes before being seated. The waitor forgot to put in our order and we had to cancel our entree and only had the cheese because we had to make it to a show that started almost two hours after our scheduled reservation time. I have been to the one in la jolla and loved the good and service there. "

  • "It was fun for a Birthday celebration The meat was tough. I would just stick cheese and chocolate next time. It was fun."

  • "The staff is always kind. It's a good option for a relaxed/romantic dinner. The best cheese pot option is the spinach-artichoke."

  • "My wife made a reservation at The Melting Pot for my birthday and we had a wonderful experience. The food was wonderful and our server was very attentive and explained the menu thoroughly since this was our first visit. Then at the end of the meal they brought out a beautiful plate with a chocolate covered strawberry made up to look like a cupcake and banana "balloons" for my birthday. What a nice and thoughtful ending to a delicious meal. We will be returning."

  • "I went in with a group of girlfriends for ladies night. We saw there was a special but the website did not say there was a set menu. We were not allowed to decide what kind of fondue we wanted. Isn't that kind of the point? The waitress seemed a little out of it. Maybe new? Mostly inattentive. She brought us the bill before we even got our dessert. We felt very rushed. Two of the people in our party had never been to a Melting Pot before and left hungry. I love the Melting Pot, and will definitely go back, just not for Ladies Night. It was not a good experience. "

  • "My husband and I went here for our 12 year anniversary! The hostess handed my a happy anniversary card signed by all the waiters which, I thought was very thoughtful! Our table was very private and romantic. We had a great bottle of champagne to enjoy and the fondue was delicious (every course)! Can't wait to come back for out next date night!!!"

  • "everything was great, girls at the front desk, our waiter , the table settings and our food."

  • "I really liked it when I went here for the first time. The only thing that I did not like was the wait time in between the courses. We are fast eaters and like to enjoy the food and get out. But It seemed that the wait time between the meals got longer and longer before we were done."
    Dined on 3/27/2014
  • "It's a great place to sit and talk with good friends over food and adult beverages and we had a great time... but I'm a little lukewarm about the food (which was lukewarm). Cheese and chocolate should be warm and creamy smooth and not cool and clumpy. Wait staff was inexperienced but friendly so we didn't complain, (should have). Will go again but will take less advice from the wait staff, and take more control over our food prep. 4 of us was about $250 including food, drinks, tax and tip."

  • "I enjoyed the whole experience of the meal. I had never had fondue before and was a bit skeptical of having to cook my own meat but it was actually a lot of fun and offered a nice change up from the typical restaurant dining experience. My girlfriend and I sat upstairs in a quiet, surprisingly secluded booth lending itself to a romantic feel. I would recommend sitting upstairs if you can as you the view over the restaurant below is pretty cool. Overall the food was great! Although my favorite course was dessert, we had the half white chocolate. half chocolate...... who doesn't like liquid melting chocolate with delicious snack to dip in it!"

  • "So everything was delicious, but cooking ourselves and holding a conversation was difficult to get it right. A timer would have been much better as we weren't gauging time well. Martinis were also not very strong, I got fruity ones that seemed like it was mainly juice as I had two and hardly felt a thing. Overall I enjoyed the privacy, music, service and fondues."
