Diner Reviews
  • "I really liked it when I went here for the first time. The only thing that I did not like was the wait time in between the courses. We are fast eaters and like to enjoy the food and get out. But It seemed that the wait time between the meals got longer and longer before we were done."

  • "It's a great place to sit and talk with good friends over food and adult beverages and we had a great time... but I'm a little lukewarm about the food (which was lukewarm). Cheese and chocolate should be warm and creamy smooth and not cool and clumpy. Wait staff was inexperienced but friendly so we didn't complain, (should have). Will go again but will take less advice from the wait staff, and take more control over our food prep. 4 of us was about $250 including food, drinks, tax and tip."

  • "I enjoyed the whole experience of the meal. I had never had fondue before and was a bit skeptical of having to cook my own meat but it was actually a lot of fun and offered a nice change up from the typical restaurant dining experience. My girlfriend and I sat upstairs in a quiet, surprisingly secluded booth lending itself to a romantic feel. I would recommend sitting upstairs if you can as you the view over the restaurant below is pretty cool. Overall the food was great! Although my favorite course was dessert, we had the half white chocolate. half chocolate...... who doesn't like liquid melting chocolate with delicious snack to dip in it!"

  • "So everything was delicious, but cooking ourselves and holding a conversation was difficult to get it right. A timer would have been much better as we weren't gauging time well. Martinis were also not very strong, I got fruity ones that seemed like it was mainly juice as I had two and hardly felt a thing. Overall I enjoyed the privacy, music, service and fondues."

  • "I've never visited this restaurant and made an early reservation to meet a friend at 5:15 p.m. for dinner. We had almost the entire restaurant to ourselves on a Wednesday night although it did pick up over the evening. The 4 course dinner was very reasonably priced and more food than I could eat so I ended up boxing up a good portion of my entree so I could still have dessert. Service was GREAT with the exception of the check being dropped at our table at the beginning of dessert and our server checked back to pick it up probably every 5-10 minutes. We weren't sure if he was going on break/leaving for the evening but we thought his timing was off. Nonetheless, we didn't pay the tab right away and still enjoyed a 3+ hour dinner! Fun!"

  • "We enjoyed our dining experience at the Melting Pot with noticeable improvements in the flavor of the meat compared with a previous experience. ie the meat was pre-seasoned which gave it a more savory taste vs relying on the cooking broth to deliver the taste. The dessert round was exceptional if not indulgent. Our table attendant Cody was personable and efficient and provided good recommendations to improve the dining experience. Over all a delightful evening and we will be back. Good value for the dollar too."

  • "It was just amazing! Absolutely delicious food and a wonderful eating experience. I never save room fpr dessert but come on, that cookies & cream dip was "last meal" worthy."

  • "We had a great time. The three different fondues were all extremely tasty. Our waiter was fun and a whovian!! My kids loved the experience and can't wait to do it again."

  • "We got to many Melting Pot restaurants across the country on travel or a special date night when home. Service was definitely slow at this one and the vapid 20 somethings surrounding us is not the restaurant's fault. The meal was very good and we had a good time as usual. Probably will go to La Jolla next time if in the area for the Melting Pot."

  • "Second time here... Just gets better and better... When you see the portions you kinda scoff at how small they are but by the end of the FOUR course meal you cant't even move you ate so much... Overall an amazing experience..."

  • "Me and my boyfriend were attending the melting pot to celebrate our third anniversary and it did not disappoint. Even though we were attending on mardi gras is was quiet and romantic and worth every penny. The four course experience is the best way to go. I would recommend the classic cheddar fondue and the flaming turtle chocolate fondue is absolutely to die for. But I'm going to have to say that my favorite part is that everything is made tableside and interactive. I would highly recommend coming if celebrating something romantic."

  • "The service was amazing, everything about my experience there at melting pot was great. A fantastic experience trying new foods and very delicious food. Thanks to our waiter Chris because he explained everything very well and was very quick to answer any questions we had. Thank you melting pot for having this romantic package. My gf and I loved it. For the price, I think it was def worth it."

  • "I've been to multiple locations and love the Melting Pot. However I would not return to this location. Here's why: - bathroom has 3 stalls shared with the night club and the Hard Rock hotel lobby - you hear the pounding of the night club all night long. - the food is fabulous, but this is the only location (maybe it was our server), where there weren't enough dippers for the cheese fondue course, and not enough chocolate fondue for the dippers provided. - we had a 9pm reservation, but weren't sat until 9:30, so we didn't get food until 10pm We still loved the food and enjoyed ourselves. We just know that we have options, so we will go to the La Jolla location instead."

  • "Excellent dining experience, great place for kids, family and romantic outings. Customer service is top notch. This was my first time attending the melting pot and I would recommend this place to any one. I didn't know we had to cook our own food when We arrived but it was very interactive and it helped us bond more. Thanks"

  • "Overall atmosphere was amazing. Food and our waiter was phenomenal.. Only reason why i gave 4 out of 5... Was lack of valet and we had to wait 15 min to be seated... Even with a reservation."

  • "We had a great evening. The restaurant is beautifully done. Our cocktails were good, they have a reasonable wine list and our fondue was great. We had the four course dinner and it was way too much food for us, but it was all great. The cheese fondue is made tableside, and really yummy. The house salad dressing was excellent. The main courses were tasty and of course, who doesn't like chocolate fondue for dessert. Our server was attentive, we weren't rushed, nor was the service slow. And he was friendly. He also knew the menu well. It was a great evening."

  • "Went for a late Valentine's dinner and simply had a wonderful first time experience. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. The food was very very good. You cannot go wrong with the 4-course meal or stopping in for a fun dessert and wine treat. Everyone should come here at least once!"

  • "It was our first time there and it was an enjoyable dining experience. We had a nice quiet booth, which was a pleasant surprise, because it was a bit noisy as we transited the establishment getting to our table. The food was good and the portions moderate. Our server told us up front that he was new and it showed. He was pleasant, but very inexperienced. Even so, we had a very enjoyable evening and plan to go back."

  • "Went there on Sunday it was a fun experience. It was something different but we enjoyed it. The only thing that was a little slow was the bar. I had orderd an after dinner drink but it never came. Other than that it was a good experience"

  • "Took my girlfriend out for romantic dinner here. It did not dissapoint. She was very impressed with the food, the service and obviously the setting. I would recommend this place to anyone for these very same reasons. Prices are what you pay for. Well worth it."

  • "The Melting Pot put together a lovely and romantic 4-course dining experience, specifically for Valentines Day. The table was covered with rose petals when we arrived. There was a heart-shaped candle, a vase full of roses and champagne. The entire menu was open to us, which allowed for a lot of variety. It was a very special experience. In terms of criticism, I feel like each course was a bit rushed, and the shape of the table was a bit awkward to maneuver, since there was only one fondue pot. I would definitely recommend this dining experience to couples on Valentines Day."

  • "Fondue may not qualify as ultra gourmet, but it makes for a tasty and sociable evening. It represents also a fair value. Ambiance is conducive to conversation."

  • "The service, food, and ambiance were very good. The burners at the table emitted a low-level beeping noise that was very distracting. Our server moved us to a different table, but that one beeped as well. We'd arrived early when the restaurant was still quiet. As it filled and there was more background noise, the sound of the burner was drowned and our meal progressed without the distraction. We did choose this restaurant for its proximity and quiet ambiance."

  • "Lovely place, great atmosphere, REALLY tasty food. Our server Luke was attentive and friendly. It was my first time there and a fun evening. Not sure how well the pots will work for big groups, but for tables of 2 to 4 it's definitely a nice time. Thumbs up!"

  • "Of course she picks the busiest day of the week...Saturday. No problem I make reservations for 830 and arrive at 8 just as a precaution. I check in with the hostess and she informs me that I will be seated closer to 830 and to go ahead and wait at the bar. "Someone will come get you when your table is ready." Cool nothing wrong with getting a few drinks before dinner. I waited at the bar until 845 before going back down to the hostess and she proceeds to tell me "oh I forgot about you." So after 5 more minutes at the bar we are finally seated. Next we get the waitress who is in so much of a hurry she can't make the cheese fondue correctly. We ended up with cheese and oil instead, but we had the time to keep stirring and do it right."

  • "It is an excellent restraunt with fabulous food and wonderful waiters. And, once you finish the main course, the dessert is to die for! We love the classic. On this last visit, there was only one thing that I would have changed. When I went to the restroom, the one just outside the restaurant down the stairs within the hotel, there was a woman sittin at the sink counter. Variety of feminine products and sweets for sale. She had set up her things right in the middle of the counter, so I had to reach around her to wash my hands and then she was pushy with trying to sell me something. Suddenly going to the bathroom turned into a very invasive experience, and I really hope I do not encounter that again at such a classy and loved restaurant."

  • "We loved going to this restaurant, it is more of a social relaxed setting so having our infant with us for almost a 3 hour dining experience was a little hard but no one rushed us and we love the food. Great place!!!"

  • "I was excited coming to this restaurant. We had a very nice cocktail upstairs before we were escorted to our table. Our waitress was friendly at first, she told us how the fondue meal worked but then she became very bossy when we did not choose what she suggested. It was an interesting experience but I will not go again. The main course is ok if you like dry meats, they do give you microscopic amounts of sauces to flavor your food with but it's nothing like a chef prepared meal. If you do go do not sit at one of the tiny booths they have for two people. They are way to small then they have the cooking area in the middle so it's very tight and not relaxing or comfortable."

  • "i made a reservation kind of last minute to take my girlfriend out to celebrate her graduation and new job. didnt state any of that in the reservation though. We walked in and had a short 5-10 minute wait, then they walked us upstairs to have a seat. We were hoping we wouldnt be placed as a small regular table, and we were delighted to be given a booth in a back corner with a huge, tinted window letting us look out at the busy street. We had the privacy we wanted, and a great view, without actually having to ask for it. Made us very happy."

  • "Reserved a dinner for two 40 minutes prior to dining and requested Gluten Free menus on reservation. The traffic and parking gods parted all obstacles for us. We parked across the street (bring quarters) or use the Valet next door for about 10 bucks. Came in. Waited a few minutes and were seated at a table for two upstairs. I sank into the leather chair and decided I was t leaving for the night. Our waitress was spectacular and knowledgable. We ordered a bottle of wine, the fiesta cheese fondue, our own salads, a Cajun entree, and the dark chocolate fondue dessert. I almost fell out of my chair tasting that chocolate! We were out without the kids and there weren't any present (score!) Coming back sans kids with any and all adults willing."
