The Melting Pot - Framingham
Great service, wonderful flavorsWe went on Saturday, 5/18 for our son's 16th birthday. With four people in our party, we were able to get a very nice spacious booth with two fondue pots. We each ordered something different, which is different from last years menu, we enjoyed this especially me, because I don't like red meat and had seafood, the lobster was wonderful. Desert is always a special treat, my son enjoyed milk chocolate covered everything! The server was very friendly and treated my son as though it was his special day.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat!Had a great experience at The Melting Pot.
I heard that it was pricey from people I knew.
It could not have been further from the truth.
It was the best date night place imaginable.
Great fondue. Great ambiance.
Best thing to do is have the Cheese fondue a la carte
then head to the chocolate one. If you have the entree and salad,
you will be too full :)5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experience!Really different and very enjoyable. Romantic, not rushed, terrific food, can't ask for more than that5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMromantic place to enjoyThe place is really nice and romantic. I went for mother's day and they habe this special going on. I wanted something else that what they were offering that day but overall everything was very good. It's pricey but is really good and different from others restaurants .5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA great Mother's Day experience!!It was a great place to spend Mother's Day! The atmosphere was perfect for us to enjoy each other's company with the feel of real privacy but feeling like everything we needed or wanted was there for us in the way of food, drinks and service.
I have already highly recommended The Melting Pot to many of my friends. They are already looking forward to having their own experience there soon!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMOur waitress was amazing andOur waitress was amazing and I am never disappointed when I go there. Very pricey but definitely recommended for special occasions.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Service!!Went for Mother's day and had a great experience. All staff was extremely friendly, courteous, and accommodating. Visiting from San Antonio, TX, we have a Melting Pot 20 mins away. We drove 1.5 hours from Western Mass to eat here. Did not disappoint. Only setback we did have was the customers noise level. It was very loud and energetic and not the romantic/quieter ambiance I am accustomed to at other MPs. I really wanted speak to one parent who were letting their kids get annoyingly loud with their "Would you rather..." games, but again, it was Mother's day and probably not of the norm....5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA Fun TimeWe really enjoyed the Melting Pot. Our server was wonderful; she was helpful and attentive. The eating is really fun, as some fondues are made at your table. While this doesn't involve anything extraordinary, it was still fun. Cooking your own food is also a nice change (it's not difficult: 1. put chicken, etc. in fondue. 2. Wait. 3. Take Chicken out.) but while they say its impossible to overcook the food, I sometimes found it a little tough. Otherwise, the booths are romantic, the menu is long enough to allow for creativity but it's not so big that it's overwhelming. We had a great time, but it's expensive, so while we'll be back, it may not be as often as we'd like.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMThe bestThis was our first experience at the Melting Pot and let me tell you it will not be the last time we go. Oh the ambience the food the service and the price are terrific!
My opinion if you haven't experienced the melting pot yet, what are you waiting for?5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMFun for First Timers! Our waitress was Dee-Dee. She really took care of my wife and I very well! We were first time fondue diners, and she mad it very easy to work with all the new ways of fondue dining for us. She also really made it enjoyable!! High marks of praise for Dee-Dee and the Melting Pot!!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious food but very pricey. They need to bring back the skinny dipping menu - it was a good portion size and relatively inexpensive by comparison to rest of menu. Getting a four course meal is too much food unless you are sharing one meal with someone. They need to make their prices more accessible.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMFun meal to sit, relax andFun meal to sit, relax and enjoy your party's company. No rush, great service! Loved the appetizer and dessert especially. Entree was good but I like my meat grilled better than cooked in a fondue.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMI really like the cheese fondueI really like the cheese fondue (specially the spinach one), salad, and dessert. But the main course, I really do not like it. I have been to this restaurant 2 times and both times I had the same impression.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGood birthday party venueWe really enjoyed our dinner. It was a birthday and we were able to sit, munch different foods and enjoy our time together.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMawesome food and experienceawesome food and experience but extremely expensive.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMA must try experience! My husband and I went for the first time on a Friday night. We had reservations, but sat near the kitchen so a bit noisy. Our waiter, Diego, was wonderful. He explained the process, checked in often and acknowledged my food allergies. We mentioned we may go to the movies and he was going to accommodate our timing. We ended up forgetting the movie because the food was really good and its not really a place to rush through. We got a four course meal with one starter cheese fondue, 2 salads, 2 entree fondues and one dessert fondue. We were stuffed at the end. We would go back for the cheese and dessert fondues alone. It probably wont be a place we go to often, but its definitely an experience to try. Moderately priced, but super fun!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place for groupsWe had a great time bringing out kids for the Sunday special. While we had a great time there with another couple and their kids, and the kids were well behaved. I really prefer going to The Melting Pot without the kids. Its a bit more relaxing that way. Since we don't live close (over an hour away) its reserved for a special occasion. If we lived in town, we would certainly be there more with the kids.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMI went with my fiancee andI went with my fiancee and a friend for a late dinner. Do not come here if you expect a quick meal, which thankfully we were not in a rush. We had a blast though! Fondue is making a comeback and with places like the Melting Pot, it is easy to see why. It was a fun time!4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMMelting Pot was great fun & yummy! We actually did Easter lunch at the Melting Pot in Framingham and had a blast. The service was fabulous and the waiter was personable and fun. The mix of fondue meats, fish, and veggies was tasty and the dipping sauces in addition to the foundue were also great. You can mix and match your cheeses for the meal foundue and your chocolate treats and sweets for the dessert fondue. Clever how the cooking element in the center of the table heats up hot and fast, but the rest of the table stays safe to touch. We were with two young adult kids, but this would work well with little ones two. My husband and I plan to go back for dessert just the two of us soon.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was the perfect amountIt was the perfect amount of food, stretched over the course of a few hours making it more of an experience than just a dinner.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMDeliciousHard to find. But once you are there, it's perfect. I am quite disappointed that the "skinny dipping" menu has ended. I really hope the Melton pot will consider making it a permanent part of the menu. Given problems with obesity and lack of exercise in American society, having a calorie and fat conscious option is necessary. It also makes the experience more affordable for people to try a few things. Loved making reservation online.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat good, great setting.Great good, great setting. It was a little pricey but I would go again. Waitstaff was very nice, helpful, and friendly.
The only thing I didn't like is we had to choose restaurant week or the regular menu at the front. It was our first time there so we really didn't know what to expect or choose. The hostess wasn't very helpful.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was a very different experienceIt was a very different experience cooking your own food and dipping into Cheese, Chocolate etc. It was fun and my friend and I had a great time.
Great for special occasions and it was romantic and quiet.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMI had a great time at theI had a great time at the melting pot. The food was very good as was the service. The dessert fondue was the best I have ever eaten for sure! I would definitely recommend this place, but probably more as a special night out because it is a bit expensive when you get the full four course meal. Well worth it though!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent place for friends/romanceA great place for special occasions or any occasion! Can't walk in on weekends, must have a reservation. Food is fresh and delicious. Would highly recommend!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMIn the top five for placesIn the top five for places we have been to. Was a very enjoyable time. Only negative was the $100 bottle of champagne was quite warm. I would/will/have recommend the Melting Pot. It was our first time and we will be going back again.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our first time going. This was our first time going. My girlfriend has been looking to go here for a long time, She was not disappointed. Our total experiance was awsume and we would definatly go back.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMDelightful from start to finish. We went for a birthday lunch celebration. Jeremy, our waiter, was professional and friendly. The cheddar appetizer was fabulous. Splitting an entree gave us room to enjoy a mix of two chocolate fondue ingredients for dessert. Some seats are individual, dark and romantic while others are in larger rooms. Will go again.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMIt is just always amazingIt is just always amazing eating at the Melting Pot. Great food and experience.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
