Diner Reviews
  • "Wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion, quiet area for a romantic meal with the significant other!"

  • "This was only our second visit to The Melting Pot. We had visited for our daughter's 8th birthday on the recommendation of a friend the previous year and our daughter liked it so much we decided to do it again. I never though fondue would ever make a comeback, but the act of dropping little bits of vegetables, meats, fruits, and cake in various steaming pots of oil, cheese or chocolate is a bit of a hoot. Service is friendly and helpful, which is great because the menu is not incredibly straightforward. The meal is also a bit expensive ($160.00 for 3, no alcohol), but the food is generally fairly good, my daughter loves all of the little tastes of different things, and we only go once a year. A fun eating experience."

  • "Went on a sunday afternoon for my daughter's 18th birthday celebration. 6 people in our party. The place was not full at all. Our server was very knowledgeable and helped us to choose our menu. It is pricey but I knew that going in and it is about the experience not just the food. Favorites among the groups was the cheeses fondue...not enough salsa chips for the teenagers. The filet mignon, pot stickers and terriyaki sirloin along with stuffed mushrooms. Overall a great dining experience!"

  • "The Melting Pot is a unique dining experience and is perfect for a special occasion. If you go with more than two people request a table with two pots. Also if you sign up for the free fondue club you receive a box of chocolate covered fruit if you call ahead and present the coupon."

  • "We went to the Melting Pot near Boston the first time was pretty good. So we went back last week near Framingham. But this time, I don't know if it was the flavor we chose or the cheese that we did not like. It tasted sour and not as good as the first time we went. The chocolate one was fine."

  • "Brought our 6 and 9year olds for the first time. They dubbed it "the best restaurant ever". Great way to enjoy a slower-paced meal. Love that there are separate areas for couples and families..."

  • "But it coud use a better choice for ambiance music... we couldn't stop lauging when we thought about Anchor Man's Ron Burgundy playing the jazz flute. Overall our experience was great, food was excellent, service was great... An excellent option if you want to try a different way of dining out."

  • "I would recommend this rest. for dessert only. If you like to pay a restaurant $$$ so you can cook your own dinner this place is for you."

  • "My wife and I have been to The Melting Pot a couple of times. We love atmosphere of this place. Whether you go in a small group or a large group, it feels like you have your own private area. The cooking experience is fun and the food is great!"

  • "As always, the ambience was great, the menu interesting and intriguing, and our server (Beth) was simply fantastic and attentive. We will return."

  • "We went as a group of 7 people. We had to wait about 15 minutes despite going there exactly at our reserved time. Food was great. We did not order any alcohol. The waiter was extremely courteous. Since a few of us were at this restaurant for the first time, she took a lot of effort to explain how things work at the table. The service happened to be VERY slow. We started at 7 pm and took over 3 hours to get done."

  • "It was my first time at the melting pot in Framingham ma and it was a great experience. Our server Brian was very knowledgeable and very nice. There was quite a long wait between the main course and the chocolate fondue, this was not due to out server. All in all I liked it and would go back again."

  • "We have been going to the Melting Pot restaurant chains for years and its always a great experience! We always leave fat and happy!"
    Dined on 3/15/2014
  • "I dined with 2 kids. They had a lot of fun, but they still cost $30 each by the time we did cheese, main course and chocolate dessert. Also, I ordered a glass of house red wine and was unpleasantly surprised when I saw it was $13 for a single glass. If the meal is so expensive, not sure they need to gouge on drink too."

  • "Very expensive and the fondue experience was weird because the seats were so low, we couldn't see what was in the pot."

  • "My six year old requested the Melting Pot as his birthday dinner. When we arrived, they had a birthday card signed by all of the staff, which tickled him to no end. We were seated quickly, and for the first half of the meal, service was very attentive. I'm not sure what happened after our entrees were served, but our waiter was pretty scarce after that. It took the better part of 15 minutes to get a refill on a soda ave a glass of water, and we sat for a long while after the table was cleared before we saw our waiter to order dessert. Th This isn't usual for this restaurant. Despite the unexplained slow down of service, everyone was pleasant, and the food was tasty. The six year old left very happy, and that was my goal for the night."

  • "My friend and I went on a Friday night, this was her first time. We had fun. You can get the full meal deal for $38 which includes cheese fondue, a salad, entrée, then the chocolate fondue dessert. It doesn't seem like a lot of food but by the time your done your full. The service was good and while I do still think they should lower the price, The Melting Pot is an experience everyone should try, its different and fun.. Go for it, You only live once.."

  • "Whether you're going for a romantic dinner or with another couple, the Melting Pot is a great choice. The service is great, the ambiance is very nice. We love it here and if you love fondue, or new to it, it's worth a try!"

  • "The Melting Pot is a special treat, but it is high priced for what it is. Small portions of food that you dip in cheese, cook in broth, or drown in Chocolate. Well prepared, well presented, good service. It helped we were there at lunch, when not busy. It is a special event place, not someplace I would go on a regular basis. Better in a larger group, so that you can try two fondue pots of different cheeses, broths, and chocolate."

  • "This was our second visit to The Melting Pot and we enjoyed it THOROUGHLY! We love the cozy, romantic booths!!! Our server was very helpful in explaining everything, and gave good recommendations. We got the shrimp cocktail, then chose the broccoli cheddar fondue for our first course. Later, we chose the Mojo broth in which to cook our meat - this had a wonderful Carribbean jerk with citrus taste - not too spicy, just gave the meat a nice hint of flavor! Lastly, we chose a dark chocolate, caramel and sea salt fondue for our dessert. This came with fresh strawberries to dip as well as small cubes of rice crispie treats, dusted marshmallows, red velvet pound cake and a few other goodies - it was pure heaven! So much fun!!! We will return!!!"

  • "My husband and I love this place! It is pretty pricy, but the food and atmosphere are great. The service is awesome since the wait staff is very knowledgable. We will definitely be coming here again, but we try to save it for special occasions since, like I said, it is very pricy."

  • "We have been going to The Melting Pot - Framingham for a few years and we are always happy with the meal. This particular time we went with another couple and took advantage of the lunch special they were offering. Having normally spent full price, it was a nice treat to get the same great food at a discount. We try to get here 1-3 times a year, however its over an hour drive from our house. I recommend this restaurant to all my friends. You have to try it at least once, then you are hooked."

  • "A few friends and I decided to check out the Girl's Night special at the local Melting Pot and we were not disappointed. For a mere 40 bucks, you get an incredibly filling four course meal, a drink off of a pre selected menu and one heck of a good time."

  • "Didn't know this place would be this good. Made Mother's Day reservations at one of the few places left around with availability. Had never been here before so did not know what to expect. Very very friendly staff and welcoming from beginning to end. The Mother's Day menu was prix fixe and contained a cheese fondue and salad and then meat dishes (chicken, steak and ravioli) with dipping sauces. It was an interesting concept and the burner was center on the table. The server was very nice and walked us through the entire process. Because we had fidgety kids, this was not easy but the staff here was understanding due to the day. The dessert topping it off was unreal with melted milk chocolate and rice krispie"

  • "We went here for a new years eve dinner with another couple. The food was very good and the activity made for a fun experience. The service was good, although the waitress forgot to bring us a few items and had to be reminded. Also, the staff started taking down their holiday decorations from the wall and ceiling before we left, which seemed a little premature. Overall a nice experience."

  • "This is our 3rd year in a row to go to The Melting Pot for out daughter's birthday. She gets to pick the restaurant, and she LOVES this place. We do only go once a year, as it is pretty expensive, but for a special occasion, it is worth it. We order 4 of the 4 course meals for the five of us and it is plenty of food. Our children are age 13, 17 and 19, so they are willing to try just about anything on the menu! Another plus of cooking your food at the table, is it takes a while, so you have lots of time for conversation! Would recommend this for a special occasion, just check the prices first so you will not be shocked when you get the bill."

  • "We went for dinner in Xmas Eve. We arrived a little early and had to wait a little bit until our table was ready (but on time for the reservation). The hostess and specially the waitress were terrific. Gloria (waitress) explained the menu for us, gave us suggestion for feeding our 2 years old kid, and did an excellent job. The food was very good, we took the four dishes menu. The portions aren't big, but that allow you to try all the dishes. We ended fully satisfied and couldn't finish the dessert. We had a good experience. It's a little pricey, but we are going again for some other special occasion."

  • "Do not come here on a first date, or with someone you don't truly enjoy, but reserve it for good friends and romantic occasions. The four course meal unfolds over about 2 hours, and cooking times leave plenty of time and attention for your companions. Food is incredible, and the specialty drinks are dangerously good--designate a driver ahead of time! Too pricey and honestly too special for every day, but well worth an hour or so drive for the right people or special occasion. I have gone here once with kids, four cousins really getting to know each other, and we were very welcome; the kids enjoyed it, and the staff brought extra green apples for the picky eater. Dessert is its own special heaven, so try to save room!"
