I can tell you that the 90 minute drive we had just to get to the restaurant was well worth it. The amount of food looked small for the price, however, you do not leave there feeling hungry. Great place for family fun or a nice night with someone special. My wife and I go there on special occasions, but also take our 4 year old there for a treat. He loves the idea that he is cooking his food. Though the chocolate and cheese fondues are outstanding and what most people think of... the cooking of your own meat and their salads are just as good. They all provide superior customer service, excellent food and a fantastic wine list. The atmosphere in all of them has been designed to make you feel cozy and secluded while being around many other diners. It is a great place to go for a romantic date night or even catching up with old friends. Great food and lots to choose from.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were not seated when weWe were not seated when we arrived on time, which was at 6:00 so we went to the bar and were initially unnoticed then as soon as our drink order was taken we had to cash out because the hostess was ready to take us to our table. Our server was terrific but at the Dayton Melting Pot we were told we needed to choose our entire four course meal right away. I had eaten dinner at the Cincinnati Melting Pot a few weeks prior and I had a much more relaxed time there because we were permitted to order the courses gradually...after cheese fondue, we selected our salad and discussed which entree' we'd like while eating the salad and the same for the dessert. Dayton wanted all the answer's in the first few minutes.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMA Romantic EveningWhat a unique experience! I requested a secluded booth for our date night. We were seated in our own sectioned off booth. It was like our own tiny little room. Fantastic! Very accommodating to my request! Our server was quirky and fun. I would have preferred more silent service during our romantic evening. However, steps of service were on point. This was our first time visiting the melting pot and she helped to make it a great experience! The next time we visit though we will be requesting to sit in the more romantic cubbies tucked away toward the back. Excellent restaurant! They sat us exactly where we had requested, and it was very romantic and quiet for my husband and I. The food was unbelievably amazing, more than we could even eat!
