Diner Reviews
  • "Overall the food quality and presentation were very good. The only complaint that I would have is that the Margarita was a little sweeter than my preference, definitely a mix of some type. I had the steak lovers platter and my wife had a blend your own mix. All meats were tender and well seasoned, the vegetables appeared fresh and crisp. For desert we had the turtle sundae dip made with dark chocolate."

  • "Fun experience as a couple or with a group of friends! Great cheese appetizer, great dessert, great drinks, good entree (for a picky eater who didn't like the sauces)! Will definitely go back!"

  • "We have been to the melting pot many times, and they have all been outstanding. The last 2 or 3 times our server has been Drew and he makes the dining experience great. He is very good with wine suggestions and food suggestions also. For a nice, romantic dinner and great food, give the Melting Pot a go."

  • "We celebrated my daughter's birthday. When we were seated, they handed her a birthday card and upon bringing dessert they have her a birthday plate with a lit candle. We both thought that was very thoughtful."

  • "We have been here no less than 10 times in the last year and each and every time it is amazing. Perfect getaway for my wife and I to have a quiet, romantic dinner together. Spending 2 hours having a meal, talking and just getting away from it all is priceless."

  • "the cheese fondue was wonderful - loved the garlic, pepper flavoring........ it's pricey for the amount of food though"

  • "Very nice place to eat. Only thing we thought was off was paying high dollar to cook food ourselves. Otherwise everything was fantastic and we loved the atmosphere"

  • "This was our first visit to The Melting Pot. We really enjoyed the unique experience of selecting four courses and cooking at our table. Server was friendly and helpful, atmosphere was intimate (L-shaped booth recommended for couples), and food was terrific. Great for a special night out."

  • "The tables are very intimate so that everyone can reach the fondue pots. It is very dark in the restaurant, but you are able to see. If you came in the middle of the day you would probably be blind for the first of your meal, but if you came for dinner you wouldnt have any problems. We ordered the 4-course meal and split it between two people. We were both stuffed by the end. Gorgonzola/bacon fondue-Very tangy, delicious, the apples were the best dipper, bread was so-so Pear Gorgonzola Salad-Pear was good, gorgonzola offest the flavor of the greens, small salad for 1 person Bouillon with Land and Sea meat combo-Shrimp+Curry sauce is to die for, chicken was good with plum sauce or no sauce at all, steak was good on its own"

  • "Great for a romantic date night. No television, excellent food, and quiet spot. What more could a gift ask for?"

  • "It was very easy and convenient placing reservation on the website and we were seated shortly after we arrived."

  • "21st celebration for my son. Our sever was the worst we have ever experienced at this location. He was either stretched too thin or perhaps just not very experienced. Forgot to bring food out as asked, spilled crumbs of cheese all over the table when mixing fondue, walked away before the cheeze mixture was full mixed and didn't recognize our sons birthday despite it being on the reservation and told about it upon initial greeting. Food was good although overpriced as usual. Did not live up to what we had experienced in the past and will not return."
    Dined on 3/22/2014
  • "The food was ok. The waitress didn't offer up any suggestion. As we had people in the grou who hadn't dined there before. The cheese was NOT mixed correctly, never melted, and the bits of veggies from the bottom of the bag we were offered, was a dissapointment. For the over 200$ spent at our table, we were not impressed."

  • "Our first time at the Melting Pot; we did not know what to expect. The waiter was very friendly and helped us all through the decisions and answered all questions. Looking forward to going back!"

  • "I've been to Melting Pot only one other time and that was at least 2-3 years ago. It was quite wonderful again this time. The experience for the price is worth the cost. It's definitely for special occasions, not just your run of the mill, go out to eat because it's a Tuesday kind of restaurant. You'll spend at least two hours and you'll enjoy every minute of it."

  • "Great dinner and left STUFFED!! Way more food than I needed, but enjoyed every second of the experience. You had to somewhat work for your food, but we both enjoyed the night and the server was wonderful."

  • "Our first time going and we loved it! Amazing food!"

  • "Our dinner at the Melting Pot was a bit of a surprise. We found the choices difficult because we had gone out to eat, but all meat at the Melting Pot is cooked by the diner. As someone who doesn't cook, I was disappointed to find that I was expected to cook my own meal at the table. I expected the fondue to be prepared at the table, but I think it's just asinine to charge me top shelf prices for a meal that I had to cook. If I wanted to cook, why would I go to a restaurant? I got the choose 3 entree with filet, mahi-mahi, and barbecue pork medallion. The quality of the food was excellent and the fondue experience is fantastic. Service was a little slow, but still acceptable for a Saturday night at 6:30. Loved the chocolate dessert."

  • "I have heard wonderful things about the melting pot, but non of what I heard compared to the amazing food and service we received. I highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions and the perfect romantic evening."

  • "Our great experience was mostly a thanks to our very attentive waiter, Drew. It was our first time there and he did a nice job of explaining the menu and giving suggestions. My husband and I were there to celebrate a new job and this was the perfect place to do it! The booths create a very personal atmosphere. The food and drinks were amazing. Next time I go back I will just get the cheese course and dessert, as they were my favorite. Make sure you save room for the chocolate! It was soooo good!"

  • "My boyfriend and I went here to celebrate belated Valentine's Day, and this place was spectacular. It is the perfect date night restaurant. The waitress was so sweet, and very well educated about the menu. She was able to answer all the questions that we had and was able to make recommendations based on the fact that it was our first time trying fondue. This restaurant is also flexible for if you want to change a certain item on the menu. The Melting Pot is very tasty and high-class dining for a surprisingly affordable price. When you go, be sure to try the Oreo chocolate for your dessert."

  • "Although this restaurant is pricey it is well worth the cost. The service is prompt and wonderful. The food is to die for. Be prepared to be here for a few hours if you do the 4 course meal. Time seems to just slip away from you while your here."

  • "My husband and I went to the melting pot in Columbus hoping for a romantic and intimate night, and that was exactly what we got! Our waitress was very informative but still sweet and kind. She explained everything and made us very relaxed and comfortable. She gave us our space but was still very attentive! The atmosphere is very romantic and so different from the daily norm. The food was amazing, and the variety was extensive. So many choices and honestly none of them are bad. We loved how interactive the whole experience was. We can't wait to go back!!!!"

  • "Melting Pot is a fun night out. It would be a great first date spot. The interactive nature is a good conversation starter. Very romantic ambience. Wine selection is a bit light. Food quantities are also on the light side. Service was good and not rushed. Would return for special occasion again."

  • "Fun way to have a meal, something different. An adventure cooking your own food at the table."
    Dined on 2/11/2014
  • "Loved everything about the Melting Pot. The food was fantastic and our server was very kind, patient, clear, and concise when explaining to us how the whole process works. We both had the four courses meal and at first we were worried the servings were too small, but by the end of the second course we were already almost full. Definitely save room for dessert because their dessert fondue is absolutely fantastic. You cook your entrees yourself (it's easy, don't worry) but if you have kids, I wouldn't recommend this place unless you're ready to watch yours and theirs. Otherwise this place is highly recommended. Very pricey, but well worth it."

  • "Took daughter there for her 21st bday. A little disappointed. There was a strong beer odor that seemed to linger I've fondued before. I thought some of the meats were over spiced. Liked the dessert fondue! There was more than enough food for sure."

  • "My experience was amazing at melting pot! Our waitress Jasmine B. Was spot on with everything ! She was so personable and kind and we have never had a better waitress in all of our times there ! She gave us an above and beyond experience there and we were so glad we had her to serve us !"

  • "We loved the experience! We were having a girls night and celebrating a birthday. We agreed that we loved the cheese and desert portion but not actually cooking the food. We found that we either uncooked or had shoe leather for steak."
