Food was realy good but the melting pot in Indianapolis was an experiance we could have been at an apple bees. Next time we will try Dayton"

  • "We had a wonderful time at the melting pot Cincinnati! We went because they had a 4 course deal going on and kids ate free! It was also my husband's birthday. The food was delicious and our server was fantastic! It was good we hadnt scheduled anything else that afternoon because we were there for 2 hours total! They accomadated my 4 year old very well!"

  • "Great food, service and experience at an affordable price."

  • "The cheese fondu coarse was nice as was the dessert (chocolate). However, the main coarse has meat and even vegetables which are pre-spiced and it is just too much... So much that you can't taste the flavor of the fondu or meat or chicken. The dipping sauces helped a little to deal with the spices, but the only thing that was truly edible was the shrimp as it was not spiced. The salads were so-so."

  • "Started with having to wait for our reserved table - not a huge issue - got seated and the server promptly dumped a glass of ice water onto her lap! Not a little, the whole thing! I am sorry was all we heard from her! Nothing from management, nothing from anyone - not that we wanted to be comped, but at least some recognition that she was eating while soaked through at her birthday dinner. Woefully slow service, charged for spices we did not order. Not the same Melting Pot we'd been to before. If I am going to spend over $200 for dinner - I expect better! We won't be back !"

  • "great food and fun every time. When I bring guests they are always impressed."

  • "The melting pot is quite expensive, but nice once in a while for a treat. My husband and I had 2 beers, a bottle of the most inexpensive wine they had, and a 4 course cheese, salad, multiple meat entrée, and chocolate fondue desert, for a grand total of $140 before tip. Always fun, but bring money!"

  • " food and service are excellent but the background music is somewhat obtrusive."
    Dined on 6/20/2014
  • "Of course the food and service was great, but the noise level was so high, I had to keep getting up to move to the other side of the booth so that I could talk to my mom. There was actual shouting and cackles throughout our dinner...for being such a classy restaurant, we were a little frustrated with the inability to chat over the noise level."

  • "We celebrated our anniversary and wanted to go to place different. We had a wonderful time and the food was great and so was the service. We got a lot of food for our money."

  • "The melting pot is the best place for your next date! The atmosphere is romantic and the waiters are so friendly! The food is amazing. The cheese and chocolate are by far the best (s'mores chocolate;). I celebrated my 3rd anniversary here and it was perfect! Ask for John whn you go! He is an AMAZING server and made our night!!"

  • "I took a date here and neither of us had ever been. Our server was patient and really helped our night by explaining what should be ordered with what, and why. The server at the table behind me seemed to be the same way, so the helpful service is probably restaurant wide. The lighting was romantic and the noise level was minimal so our conversation was not disturbed. Great night!"

  • "The great service and food is why we keep coming back. Thanks to Robert and Ryan"

  • "This place is in serious decline. Our service was horrible! It began when we were seated by the hostess who told us we would have to share a menu that evening which made it very difficult to pass back and forth between people who had never dined there. It took 3 additional requests before I received my glass of wine that I ordered at the beginning of our meal. Our warming plate was not turned on prior to our cheese AND chocolate arriving so both of those courses where delayed because we waited for our pot to heat up before dipping. We were never asked if we needed additional drinks, refills, etc. It ended when the manager double charging one of our credit cards. I'll never dine here again & it used to be my favority place."

  • "We had such a good waiter, Ryan. It was my first time to the melting pot and he was so attentive and nice and make it such a great experience! He knew everything I asked about and made me feel good about my choices. And he was right, the chocolate milk was amazing! Haha great job! "

  • "This restaurant exuded a warm atmosphere which include personable and friendly staff as well as delectable food. The food was utterly delicious and presented beautifully. The waiter helped us and we greatly appreciated him making our date so much fun. He really made our dinner lighthearted, he was incredible. Our experience all together was perfect, simply perfect."

  • "Not sure why we didn't think of this spot before... A great evening after a fun day at kings island! 2 of my favorite things!"

  • "The servers were very friendly & informative, introducing & explaining the menu & operations perfectly as this was our first time. We had the 4-course experience for 4 people (entertainment book). We had the Classic Alpine Cheese Fondue. It was good on the palette w fruits & veggies & a variety of bread cubes. 2nd was the Salad, I chose the California & loved it, however I would advise you request the dressing on the side bc it is sweet & abundant. We chose the The Classic as our individual entree w the coq au vin cooking style substituting the filet mignon for the BBQ pork medallion. This was wonderful & very filling. My favorite sauces were the curry & green Goddess. This was a great choice for my husband's birthday. "

  • "I wanted to treat my 8-year old niece to her first fondue experience. Her mom and I went on a Saturday afternoon, around 4pm - knowing that the restaurant should be relatively quiet and slow - which it was. Yet our waiter rushed our service, food, and what was supposed to be a relaxing and fun experience instead turned out to be a hurried event. We weren't even halfway finished with our cheese fondue when the waiter pushed the pot aside to start the only entree we had ordered - a kid's size entree specifically for my niece. He then proceeded to dump the entire bowl of vegetables into the boiling pot. We ended up having three different waiters serve us during the whole experience. I won't be back. "

  • "We had reservations for 830, got there at 750, were not seated until 855. Waitress literally threw our drink napkins on the table, very rude. Food was pretty good, service and staff terrible. "

  • "I took my mom here for Mother's Day and we had so much fun! It was a great place to catch up and eat great food. Both of us have eaten here before, and it is great every time. The chocolate is always by far the best part. "

  • "Went with my daughter for mother's day. We had to buy a $40 per person dinner with minimal choices. Neither of us eat meat so we got a few small pieces of shrimp, few chunks of chicken, and some veggies, tofu that was horrible. Not happy that I spent over $100 for dinner and didn't even get what I wanted for mother's day. Not rushing back."

  • "We went for the first time on Mother's Day! My mom and I had so much fun! The food was fabulous and our waitress was fantastically attentive, helpful and sweet! We plan on making this an annual diner! We'd recommend The Melting Pot to everyone!"

  • "The atmosphere was very nice. Unfortunately, I sat next to a table that had a very loud gentlemen. Other than that, it was quite the experience. My date and I came here for a few drinks and desserts and had a very nice, relaxing time. Our waiter was excellent."

  • "Every time we have been to this place we have had to wait atleast a half hour if not more past our reservation time. The manager is more concerned with talking to her friends than running the restaurant. I think the third bad experience will be our last."

  • "The food was good, perfect meal size for my husband, a little too much for me. It was great fun cooking at the table and trying different sauces. The waiter was informative and friendly. Service was excellent. Wine suggestion was perfect. It was too pricey for just casual dining. I'd save it for a special occasion. Also, it would be perfect for a cold, wintry, snowy, romantic evening."

  • "Very expensive! We went for there for a nice out...during the week. Service was great, our waiter was great! It was a new, unique experience but we will never do it again. It just wasn't worth the money! I had heard people talk about this place for years and finally decided to go check it out. It is a long drive for us...about 40 minutes considering we live in Northern Kentucky. "

  • "First time at Melting Pot. 3 hour experience. Really enjoyed it. Definetly interactive with the group you are with which makes it fun. Got the Easter special for $28.95 per person which isn't too bad but the drinks and wine are expensive. The service was fantastic, food was good and the fondue experience made for a fun night "

Our server was Jim and he was the absolute best! He was attentive and funny and very kind. He always made sure we knew what was going on and helped us if we needed it. He was just the best!"
