Diner Reviews
  • "So much fun! Entree and dessert especially were the best. We had 3 courses and it was too much good but worth it"

  • "Great fun for a night out with friends or family. It's a very leisurely dining experience over each fondue pot. Also great for just desert as well - try the classic which is chocolate and peanut butter or the flaming turtle. We usually share a four course dinner and get the bourguignon cooking pot to batter do the meat and shrimp."

  • "I loved the experience gained here!! loved the idea of dipping m own food into a pot filled with cheese, broth, or chocolate (: i personally really enjoyed it. my boyfriend who completely missed the whole idea of the experience did not like it as much seeing as we got two different main courses with different rubs to cook in one shared broth. i did not mind at all; im not very good at determining the best time to take out my meat so that course tasted pretty mediocre. my favorite parts were when we had the cheese fondue & the chocolate fondue. i will definitely be going back again!!"

  • "This was our first time at Melting Pot. I made reservation for my boyfriend’s birth day. At first I was skeptical but I decided to go for it. Have to say, we were both surprised how pleasant everyone working there was. Food was very good and privacy for two people could not get any more private. Working personal was awesome, pleasant to speak with and very good attentive but not overbearing. I would recommend this place to anyone. GREAT PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!"

  • "Although the entree is not very large and it is a little pricey, the melting lot is a great place to go. I have yet to be there and not have a great time. Excellent food and a unique experience!"

  • "Always great food, service and a great way to have fun with the family for dinner."

  • "This is my favorite restaurant I go to this melting pot about once a month. Service is great good is great everything about this place is just awesome. It's also a fun dinner to be cooking your good yourself not just a boring place it's a great place all around. I would recommend the melting pot to everyone!!"

  • "It was a great dinner and I was able to try new items on the menu I never had before! It was all so delicious and a nice way to end the weekend."

  • "My husband and I dined at The Melting Pot for an adults night out. We had so much fun and our server Mitch was a blast. He was so personable and full of energy. It was our first time dining here and we would definitely go back. I would even go back just for drinks and dessert. Definitely made for a great date night."
    Dined on 3/22/2014
  • "This is the second time I've dined here. The food is amazing I would recommend the four course option. My only complaint is the cocktails are very light on alcohol. However the ying yang martini is to die for. I had 3 drinks and barely felt buzzed. If drinks were made adequately they would not get me out of the melting pot."

  • "We took our daughter to MP for her 20th bday. Food and service was excellent. A bit pricey $$$$$$ but good for a special occasion"

  • "Great place to go and celebrate. Very fun to share with a group. Cheese and chocolate are always amazing, I'd recommend the yin and yang for dessert! Main course is always our least favorite, but you can't beat the atmosphere. Always a special dinner!"

  • "Recently went to celebrate a friend's birthday. Although we did make reservations, we had to wait about 20-30 minutes for a table, which was understandable since it was a Saturday night and the restaurant was packed. Food was wonderful, our waiter was great, and we had a wonderful night. Well worth the price!"

  • "They have a booth with a table that is very uncomfortable to eat and cook on the table. And the heat and fumes from the pot on the table makes me sweat and cough. Horrible experience."
    Dined on 3/15/2014
  • "You can't really go wrong with a pot of melted cheese or chocolate... That said, our server, Amanda, was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. There was a group of ten eight year olds running up and down the stairs and playing in and near the bathrooms that took away from the ambiance a bit, but once they were gone things vastly improved!"

  • "My daughter and her friends dined at the melting pot. The food was "AMAZING" and the girls had a great time with the fondue"

  • "It was a very different restaurant not typically what I'm use to but I loved it. The food was great as well as the service. I wish they update there decor."

  • "the melting pot is the perfect location for celebrating any kind of event or milestone you have! your dining experience will be 2+ hrs, make sure you go with people you like and don't have a set time to leave! when we went this time we were only dining for 2 and found the noise level in the restaurant to grow too loud for us to have a quiet conversation - large groups and families seem to dine here most - wouldn't recommend for a small group or 2 people."
    Dined on 3/7/2014
  • "I'm a huge fan of the melting pot! The environment, food, service....it's all excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone. And I love that it's a good place to bring a group of people and try the entire melting pot experience!"

  • "Always a fun place for a different dining experience. A wide variety of choices available to fit any dietary preferences. Plan on taking your time and enjoying dinner a little at a time. Waiting for a good sugar free chocolate to become available."

  • "You can never go wrong with The Melting Pot. For adults and children, it is a fun find! The food is delicious and you get to dip your food in cheese, chocolate, and cook your raw food in front of you!"

  • "I went during happy hour so prices were quite a bit lower than usual, and it was worth every penny! Good food and a great experience. Our server was very down to earth and seemed very knowledgable about the menu, so that made my dinner even more enjoyable! Definitely must try eating at the melting pot if you live near Philly!"

  • "My wife and I were visiting Phillu for a conference and thought the Melting Pot would be a good change from the traditional atmosphere. We had a great time. The resturant was private and we enjoyed a night alone. the booths are private and allow you to feel like there is no one else around. We have already searched for one in our area - and my wife is has already ordered a fondue pot for home."

  • "I would recommend this restaurant to any couple that are looking for an romantic dinner. Service wss great ! And I love how they explain everything to you when its your first time."

  • "The melting pot was a great experience. We went on Valentine's day and were able to get a corner booth which was nice. The food was, needless to say, awesome. The cheese and chocolate fondue are to die for! The staff was very friendly as well which made it easy to connect with our server. The only reason I'm giving it a 4/5 was because of the price hike for Valentine's day. I made our reservation over a month beforehand assuming their prices would be the same, if not a little higher than usual. I was never informed that there would be a $30 price increase per person. They did try to make up with a framed pic, champagne, and high end meat, so it made it better. Just beware before booking for a holiday that they might jump the price up."

  • "This place is perfect for those that like to play with there food and have a good time. Although it may be a pricey. You are going out to a nice restaurant and having a good time and its not like your going to go every week. So as it may be a little pricey, if you go once in a while like me and my girlfriend, (We go every year for our anniversary) you will have a great time. The food is also terrific as well as the choices given. There are so many choices for things to dip that its hard not to enjoy yourself. It is worth it!"

  • "We love the cheese. We love the chocolate. The entrees, not so much. So, we just went with two courses, cheese and chocolate, eliminate what we do not enjoy as much. Good stuff."

  • "The Melting Pot was one of my favorite restaurants in Philly when I moved here over 10 yrs ago. My friends & I started going there during their Lady's Night Out. After my first dining experience I was hooked and was a constant patronage for years. Up until now I would have rated the place 4 or 5 stars but my last experience was disappointing. Don't get me wrong, the food at this restaurant is delicious and anything you order you will not be disappointed, however, the portions have drastically decreased making it harder to justify spending so much money for a meal that still leaves you hungry at the end. My friends & I find we have to gorge ourselves on veggies in the dinner portion to be full after dessert."

  • "Great romantic place for a late night chocolate fondue. Great place for girls night out! Very romantic and quiet place for dinner with your better half. And food is delicious!"

  • "Even though I have dined here numerous times this was the first time I can say that I had the best service ever. Our waiter Chris was amazing!!! If it was possible to give more than 5 stars for the service I would. He was so upbeat and outgoing throughout our diner that it felt like he was more a friend than a waiter. I know anyone that goes here will have a wonderful experience but I am confident that Chris will make it outstanding!!!!"

  • "We ran late for our reservation and STILL they were accommodating and seated us quickly. We went VDay weekend and it was fairly busy. The waiter Dalton was attentive to our needs and was super funny and personable. Mike (the manager) is extremely courteous and super friendly! He and Kim are truly managers and friends to everyone who enters that restaurant. I have been to several different locations of the melting pot and actually live closer to the warrington location. I would much rather drive the extra miles and time to go to Center city Melting Pot! They are so much more kid friendly (even though this time we were on a date just us two). The food selection is always fresh and plentiful!! I absolutely LOVE this place!"

  • "This was an awesome experience, however 2 hours is just about right for 4 people. Even 2 hours causes a rush. On thing the price was great if I didn't cook my own food. Overall excellent choice oh BTW parking is $8.00 and must be paid before going to your car"

  • "Being a Philly native I know of all the good spots in the city. I thought of the Melting Pot as someithing totally unique from the others. My wife and I loved the service and the waitress was so happy. The way they prepare the food is amazing and I personally opted for the extra $25.00 for half dozen roses and a Framed picture of us (It was Valentines Day afterall :) Without Alcohol you can walk out of there spending less than $100 for 2 peoplle. I would recommend it for a romantic night out or for a good time on the weekend."

  • "We love going to The Melting Pot: Center City! This was not our first time so I guess we would be considered regulars. Everything was wonderful. The only reason I did not give the ambiance 5 stars was because while we were there, someone went out the back door without first unlocking it setting off the fire alarm. They had such an issue trying to reset it. Other than that we were very happy with our choice and would go back again. Also we love the new menu! They got rid of "The Big Night Out" item and made the choices per person so if you didn't like your partner's choice of items you could get your own. Keep up the great work, guys!"

  • "The Melting Pot is a great restaurant for special occasions. The food is surprisingly tasty and the nature of the meal (they prepare the food in front of you and you cook your own main dish) makes it fun and engaging. I wouldn't say the experience is worth the Valentine's Day price, but my boyfriend and I had a reservation for the day before and the restaurant closed for the snow. They were great about rescheduling and let us order off of the regular menu instead of the Vday Prix Fixe menu because of the rescheduling. We also were seated at a table with two burners, so we got to taste single portions of different sauces instead of having to decide on only one for the both of us to share. This made the experience even more enjoyable!"
