Diner Reviews
  • "We had an enjoyable evening in the lovely ambiance of the Melting Pot. It was a fun way to celebrate a special family birthday. The food was fresh and delicious. Everyone found something to suit their taste. We appreciated the variety of wines to accompany each course of our meal. Our server Davey was knowledgeable and helpful. He kept our glasses full and did a great all around job of serving us. We definitely recommend the Melting Pot as a great way to celebrate a special occasion."

  • "I love going to the Melting Pot, but be aware, it is not a stop and go shop. Dinner is served in courses and the wait staff gives you time in between to eat your meal. It is a wonderful experience and the food is amazing. The staff at the Brea restaurant was absolutely great."

  • "A little slow in seating us even though we had an early 5:30p reservation. It was more important to take care of their trainees than their customers. Also the floor was sticky under our table."

  • "Every time we've been here, they always exceed our expectations. The food is consistently perfect, but it's the waiters and waitresses that get better each time. Go and enjoy."

  • "Went for my 2 year anniversary with my girlfriend. Absolutely great service, we loved or waitress/server. The food was absolutely great. I decided to choose 3 selections, the cheese, the 3 entrees, and a dessert. We skipped the salad. We had the cheddar for the cheese, which was a great safe choice. We cooked our entrees in the oil, was not the best idea, but still delicious. The oil isn't the best idea because it can get too hot and start to spit at you. We chose the yin and yang for the dessert and was the best decision of the night. The dark mixes with the light chocolate and makes the taste just right. Absolutely great. Going to be out place to go each year."

  • "From start to finish, amazing! This is named my new favorite restaurant! The waitress was knowledgeable about everything and explained everything thoroughly. I would definitely recommend taking the four course to obtain the ultimate experience!"

  • "The Melting Pot is a really neat concept. We had fun with the four course experience. Sharing food, drinking wine and a quiet, intimate experience. I would rate the food excellent, but I cooked it so..."

  • "Awesome experience we had with the server Tanya. She was great and helped with any questions we had and gave valuable advice for our options. The food was AMAZING! It is so fun to go here and the food is so delicious that you wish you could have a larger stomach to be able to fit it all in and more! I wanted seconds on every single course, but ending up not eating all of one course to save room for dessert, and in the end couldn't even finish the dessert. Great price for what you get, but no doubt is it pricey. But I will definitely 100% be back and ask for Tanya."

  • "Although it seems expensive, the price is reasonable for the amount of food you get. I like it for special occasions. It is worth signing up for their club because you will be notified when they have specials, some as low as $30.00."

  • "Fondue places are few and far between; THE MELTING POT offers that different experience. Cheese, entree and chocolate fondues. Your choice of which ones or all. Staff extremely friendly and remembers your likes and dislikes. Management makes a point of stopping by your table and checking on your meal. Unlike some places where you will never ever see a manager unless you have a major problem and have to demand one. While a franchise there is a strong ownership presence as well at least at this location. Do the survey, add your address and get $10 off next visit."

  • "The Melting Pot always comes through -- sometimes it's a little better, sometimes not so much -- but always very good. We had their OC Restaurant Week lunch, which meant we didn't have an entrée, but the wild mushroom and brie soup was exquisite (and rich! --served in a tiny cup we were at first disappointed at the amount, but perfectly satisfied when finished!) This, however, is indicative of the Melting Pot's ups and downs: the soup was served cool with no saucer; when we asked to have it heated, it was brought back hot, on a saucer, with two crostini. Much more in keeping with the restaurant's aspirations. Nice salads, delicious dessert fondue-- Overall, a pleasant way to spend a Tuesday afternoon."

  • "We brought my 23-month-old with me knowing that this place only serves hot pot so there may be no kids menu. However, our server offere some assorted bread for my kid to keep her busy while we enjoy our food. I am very thankful for her thoughtfulness."

  • "This was my first time eating at the melting pot, I went with my bf to celebrate our one year. Our waitress was really nice and she explained everything and how it works since that was our first time. Everything was delicious especially dessert."

  • "My boyfriend and I came here for dessert only, we had the fondue with baileys in it, so delicious! The server we had was super nice and the walls in the booths we were in were pretty high so it was nice, it felt like it was just us two there. But I don't think all the booths are like that so if that's what u want just ask them. It was super quiet in there so there was a couple points where we felt a little awkward laughing n stuff but overall it was great!"

  • "The staff was very welcoming! We were sat right at our reservation time. Our waitress was awesome and was very helpful at explaining the menu. I had the the lovers cocktail and it was delicious! The fiesta cheese fondue was to die for. I recommend you spice your entree broth with Mojo! The flaming turtle chocolate fondue was extremely delicious!! We went in with expectations of mediocre food or something you do as a once in a lifetime experience but we left feeling satisfied and we will be back for more!!"

  • "The Melting Pot was a great experience, and it was fun to be with my hubby of 43 years celebrating in the fun and different way. It can be a bit pricey if you go ala carte, but if you go with the 4 Way it saves you a bit.....Overall, we really enjoyed it, and if you want more privacy we recommend asking for a booth. We got seated in a small area that had only 4 booths, and as we entered, I mentioned to the hostess that she was seating us in the refrigerator. After being seated in the booth at the end next to the wall, we had to move cause the a/c was blowing right down the wall onto my husbands shoulders. When mentioned to the hostess, she immediately went and turned off the a/c, and then it was comfortable. Great customer care."

  • "The Melting Pot is a great place to go for a date or as a small group. It has a super dark/quiet atmosphere that really caters well to intimate evenings. My only gripe is the price, I'm not sure where the money goes. As good as the food is, you cook it yourself so there doesn't seem to be a need for them to have a week paid cooking staff. Whenever I eat there I often wonder if the prices are artificially inflated to drive families away to preserve the atmosphere. If so, well done I guess."

  • "I surprised my girlfriend and she was thrilled. The romance package, rose, and champagne toast were all great bonuses and definitely threw her for a loop! Our server, Amanda, was fantastic, also! She explained the menu to us first-timers giving us time to look things over easing us into the process. She was attentive throughout the dinner but gave us space to be together and enjoy our night. Thank you, The Melting Pot! <3"

  • "This night out with my wife was meant to celebrate her recent promotion at her favorite restruant, but it happened to turn into a more romantic evening. At the Melting Pot,you could go either way or both and it turns out great. If this is your first visit, don't be shy about asking your server on what they recommend because they are very knowledgable on the menu (and some secret menu items as well). We still ask. It's just a great place and welcome change of pace for the normal fare."

  • "My husband and I have been to The Melting Pot in Texas (San Antonio), Missouri (St. Louis), Georgia (Atlanta), and now in California (Brea). We are always thrilled at their willingness to accommodate our preferences and substitutions on both the entree and dessert courses. We always start with the Wisconsin Trio followed by a Caesar Salad for me (LOVE the candied pine nuts) and the California salad for my husband. We have tried some different options over the years, but for the entree, our favorites tend to be the beef options. For dessert, pure dark chocolate with extra strawberries and bananas. No matter which location we choose, we always leaved satisfied with our only regret that we ate too much!"

  • "This is the perfect place for a romantic one of a kind dinner. The food is always great. Plenty to choose from. To some it might seem a little pricey, but considering what you're getting and how fresh and delicious it all is..its worth it. The service is always perfect. We've had dinner at least 7 times in the last year at The Melting Pot and we have never had any problem with the service We have tried every cheese fondue by now and every chocolate fondue. In the end its really one of those where, how willing are you to try something new. I highly recommend that you reserve online because they now give you a few options incase you are celebrating a special occasion like an anniversary or birthday. I love this place. #TheMeltingPot"

  • "I found the restraunt very clean and nice and quiet. It seemed to take the kitchen a long time to send out our food. Strange since it is not cooked and it comes to the table raw. ?? Could have been a little more prompt. Food and atmosphere was fun."

  • "I have been to a lot if restaurants and this has been by far the best! The service was great, the restaurant itself had a very warm and romantic feel to it and I can't say enough about the food! They even made a birthday card for my boyfriend and left it on the tabled for him, along with a champagne toast, and our picture taken and given to is in a frame."

  • "I always like going to the Melting Pot which usually falls on special occasions. We had the four course meal. The cheese fondue was good, a little thick but good anyway, the salads were great. If your not adventurous you can order the ceasar but if you like to try something new order the mushroom or the one that comes with bleu cheese crumbles, both taste great. We had a variety of meats that everyone shared. When you combine them with the 6 dipping sauces your taste buds are in for quite a treat. Hopefully, you save room for dessert....chocolate sauce with cheesecake bites, marshmallows, or the fruit of your choice...yummy. If you've never been, you need to go. If it's been a while, you need to go back."

  • "Our dining experience was exceptional. I ordered the Four Course Experience. It was an experience which left me in AAHH!! The food was delicious. The server was outstanding. The dessert chosen was the turtle chocolate fondue. The taste was exquisite. I could taste the chocolate, caramel and pecans and perfectly crafted. We enjoyed every minute of the entire two hours of our dining experience."
