We've been there before so the menu, food and ambiance met expectations. We have always enjoyed it and will come back again. The one downside was the reservation process. I made the reservation about two days in advance through open table. I was asked to present a credit card for the reservation. I may have missed it, but I didn't see what the terms were (I wasn't sure if they would charge a no-show fee), but I knew my wife wanted to go there so I entered it anyway. Then the next day I received a phone call that went to voice mail asking me to call them back to confirm the reservation. I didn't see the voice mail until the next day when we were just leaving for the restaurant. I was concerned I would show up to find my reservation cancelled if I didn't confirm, but the number they called me from was different from the number I was supposed to call back. What a pain! Definitely unlikely to use Open Table to make my next reservation at the Melting Pot but the restaurant was great.

The place is cool, modern and certainly different than a traditional restaurant. We found, however, that although we had shrimp, tuna, lobster, filet mignon, etc. the fact that all of them are essentially cooked by us in just a couple minutes in boiling broth it's actually pretty difficult for these to have any real taste... as a result you have no other choice but to dip them (heavily) in the various sauces provided. Service, is really, really good... but I'm not sure if this dining experience is one that I would repeat anytime soon (I may go instead to a Korean BBQ... which is essentially the same but much more flavorful)

We had an absolutely wonderful experience here. The food was wonderful. The courses were perfectly spaced out. After mentioning our anniversary through small talk with the waiter, he brought us complimentary champagne and a plate with "Happy Anniversary" scribbled in chocolate. The night was absolutely wonderful and so romantic.

We came to MElting Pot to Celebrate a Birthday and a Promotion. We had a very nice server who carefully explained things in detail. He was very attentive. The food was very good and fresh. We alwasy enjoy coming to Melting Pot for special occasions. My sons Birthday was also recognized with a candle on a pice of cake. He was pleasantly surprised. We had a really good dinner and a nice time

This place is above average in both ambiance and food but, the prices are extremely high for what you get. The server was friendly and nice but, was very slow in getting us our drinks and bringing out the courses in a timely manner. He also forgot to bring the salads until after the first course. If you like the gimmick of cooking your own food fondue style, this could be your place but, if you really want a fair portion size of good food, you should go elsewhere.

This restaurant is based on the novel and highly social nature of fondue cooking. Each table has a fondue pot in the middle and everyone shares it. The décor is upscale, dark and sleek. The cocktail menu is interesting – try the cucumber Collins! The four course meal is highly recommended: Cheese fondue appetizer, salads, main course fondue (meat or veggie), and a chocolate fondue dessert. The yin and yang half white and half dark chocolate dessert was heavenly. This is a pricier dining experience, but the quantity of food is large and the quality is very good. Servers were friendly, polite, and attentive but seemed overworked and were often hard to find, so don't be in a rush. Highly recommended for a fun and unusual dining experience.

The food is outrageously expensive and the quality is not 5 stars. I'd rather spend my money in a fancier restaurant (where I don't have to cook my own meats), known for famous chefs, somewhere in downtown Seattle. Really. I used a gift certificate from Costco (paid $40, worth $100) plus a free box of six chocolate-covered strawberries for our wedding anniversary. After the meal for 2 kids, my husband and myself, I still paid $60 (including $20 tip). Keep in mind that included two drinks and side salads plus food choices. Seattle Restaurant Week is now here and I can't wait to have a 3-course meal for $30 per person. Now - that's really worthwhile!

We has been to Melting pot since 2000, and always been a great place and good experience. This time we had last cheese than normal, our cheese end before we were done with 1/2 of the bread and veggies, and we still had 3/4 of the apples, our salad " shrink" to almost to 1/2 of the size that used to be, the entrees we order was 1/3 less from the last time, but the worse was the chocolate that end and still had 2/3 of the pieces that we end up eating without the chocolate because it was gone. We spend $185 without a tip, for 3 people and no alcohol beverages and we didn't think we got what we paid for it.

This was our second time dining at Melting Pot. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and explained the menu well. The food is good and you will leave very full if you do the 4-courses. This is a fun place to take a date (it was our anniversay in this case) - as the food requires your interaction to prepare and keeps you focused on the meal and each other.. fun, romantic and tasty! It's also a good place for small groups (I'd say 4 looks ideal) - as you all can chat and share the food. I saw a lot of groups doing this both times we visited - there were some familes with children there too both times.

The Melting Pot is one of my favorite restaurants, definitely worth the extra drive for special occasions. We had a lovely time with our group of seven family members to celebrate our anniversary. . .the service was excellent and the food was superb! Overall it was a very enjoyable experience. Even our 16-year-old notoriously picky eater enjoyed all four courses, and afterwards commented that "that was satisfying!" The youngest, a 14-year-old who usually doesn't even eat half of his food when we eat out actually ate most of everything for the first time ever. Two thumbs up!

My husband and I went to the Bellevue Melting Pot for our anniversary. Our experience was very disappointing. We have eaten at Melting Pots in both Seattle and Fort Collins, CO. Each time, the tables were nestled into cozy alcoves, the service was exceptional, and the food was plentiful and fantastic. Not so at the Bellevue restaurant. The tables are in cramped open areas, and the restaurant gets incredibly loud. Our waitress was competent but quite disinterested in being personable. Compared to every other time we have visited a Melting Pot, the amount of fondue we received was inadequate. To top it all off, the smell of burning cleaner was wafting from our cooktop into our faces throughout the meal. We will definitely not return.

This was my second time to the melting pot in Bellevue and it was nothing like my first time (sometime in 2013). The food was good but not exceptional and the service was unlike anything I had ever experienced before. The waiter was not personable and the service was slow. So slow that we almost left before the entree came out.

We came here for our anniversary, and were treated very well by our servers and hostess. Parking in their garage proved to be impossible on a weeknight and caused us a bit of stress. We had a groupon that covered about half of the cost, but after leaving the restaurant and paying the remainder of the bill we were left not-quite full and wondering if it was quite worth the high cost of everything on the menu considering the stingy serving sizes. (We both shared a cheese fondue, each had a tiny salad and an equally tiny entree for $122. We couldn't afford drinks.) So if you're looking for an expensive place to enjoy a unique but not filling meal and don't mind paying to park several blocks away, the Bellevue Melting Pot will suit you well.

We arrived a bit early and was able to sit at the bar. The bartender was extra funny and helpful. Very energetic and and made great drinks. Our waiter (forgot his name) but he too was informative and funny and was very prompt with food and to make sure we had everything we needed. I came with my husband and another couple whom both men are quite talkative and likes to crack jokes and both bartender and waiter kept up and was kind to them. We don't get to go on couple nights very often and the melting pot was a perfect night to have had it. Thank you! Restaurant, food and workers were outstanding!

We got a Groupon deal for dinner and tried the meat entrees. Nothing to recommend. It's hard to tell if the meats, esp. the pork, are cooked, because we ordered coq au vin cooking style and in the dim light, we cannot see if the redness is from the soup or the meat. I'd like to try cheese and chocolate fondue next time. Hope they'll be better.
