We have been to the melting pot in Bellevue several times and usually enjoy our visit. However, I was really disappointed by the service. My wife and I came here with my parents for my wife's birthday. When asked questions about the menu, the server was rude and condescending. After not really answering our questions, she disappeared for about 15 minutes before coming back to check on us and take our order. After clearing our cheese fondue, she brought out everything to cook our main course but then didn't bring out the meat for another 20 minutes! We tried to get her attention several times but we were ignored. Again, this was uncommon for this location but we will not be coming back because who knows what kind of service we will get.

Cheese fondue, tiny salad, hot pot, chocolate fondue. That's the four course menu. The food is great, but this isn't a watch your waistline menu. The salad was very good and way to small. This is a lot of fun for a special dinner (we were celebrating a birthday) but I wouldn't drop by regularly.

The service staff really dropped the ball this time. We have been several times over the years, to this same location, and for some reason whenever they removed a plate, they would set the fork, or knife or whatever utensil on the table, there were some small plates, 3x3 not sure what they were for, but they could have left those with the fork or whatever placed on it. Then toward the end of dinner they removed the hot fondue pot without placing the protective lid on it.... moving it over my fathers head, not very safe.

Always loved fondue style. Took our son here for his 7th birthday, he loved it - it was "fun to cook his own food". I can recommend that when there are children to pick up the pace a little if you can. Kids aren't very patient so between the courses just get things going. It was great though. Only thing, it says "Kids menu upon request" on the menu, however the server said one has NOT been available for five years! For our little 7 year old "bird eater" it was $30, and my adult meal was only $40. His $12 kids plate was no big deal, but to also charge the $8.95/pp for the cheese course (which he didn't touch) and the pp cost for adult dessert was a little outrageous. Maybe for 12 and up, but not young ones :( You lost us there guys

This was our first visit to the Melting Pot and we (me and my husband) thoroughly enjoyed it. The food and service was outstanding. Don't expect to get in and out there quickly. The food and ambiance are made to be savored and not rushed. The fondue is not the fondue I remember from the 1970s! Much better and varied. Service was outstanding and friendly. Will definitely return again, but this time won't order so much food -- I was full for a day afterwards!

Our kids really enjoy this restaurant. We don't have to ask them to eat their fruits and veggies! They love dipping the veggies it in the cheese sauce. And who can resist a pot of warm dark chocolate to dip your strawberries in? As for the main, our four years old loves to eat the salmon with the Teriyaki sauce. Where else can parents take their kids to eat fresh and healthy without much fuss?

OpenTable was great for our Res. We were sat with little wait. The staff was friendly. Our server was knowledgeable. We ordered the valentines special. This menu included a starter, cheese course, meat course with choice of cooking style, chocolate course, and finish with a toast. The food was amazing. However, there were a couple downfalls to our visit. Our server wasn't personable. She was almost like a robot who said "Absolutely." way too much. On top of that we never received our starter. At the end of the chocolate course she brought us the bill, we asked about our complimentary toast since we hadn't received it. She then brought us a bag with two champagne glasses to take home. I'm not sure what happened but it was definitely odd.

This was my first visit to The Melting Pot, although I'd been aware of it for a while. As a neophyte, I was unsure how the whole thing worked as far as ordering and the options, but it is a very user-friendly place, and the wait staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I chose the 4 course option (appetizer, salad, entree and dessert). There are several options, both for the cheese fondue used for the appetizer, the spices and oils used for the entree, and the chocolate for the dessert. My date and I were both very happy with the choices we made, and I assume that any of the other options would likely be equally tasty. I will come back to The Melting Pot again!

I have been going to the Melting Pot for several years and every time is go it seems like the price stays the same or goes up, but the portion size and quality of food goes down. Every time I go, which is around 1-2 times per year I leave thinking " it's not as good as it used to be!" That should be your first thought as you leave a restaurant spending $150 or more on a meal!!!!!

We have eaten at the MP many times, with the experience excellent! However, our last visit was not so great? they were short staffed, which made the service somewhat slow. Our waitress, (tatooes down her arms) was exceptional; she kept or tried to keep up with the demands of the peoples demands. The food, mainly the steak, was tough, didn't taste like tenderloin or filet. The portions seemed to be smaller in size to the last time we dined there? You folks charge a pretty penny for entrees, so you should make it worth the dining! It will be a while before we return.

The Melting Pot has now become my new favorite spot for special occasions, and I think my kids agree, since all three have asked to go there for their birthdays. Even my picky little eater had a blast and tried at least one new thing on his plate. Make sure to leave plenty of time, as this is not a fast dining experience. You have to take the time to not only wait for each morsel to be fully cooked, but you'll want to sit and savor each and try all the sauces. Definitely do the 4-course meal! Every bite was a wonder!

We were a little hesitant to take our 5-year-old, but were pleased to find that they have a "kid's plate" to sample beef, chicken, shrimp and pasta, and were accommodating about up-sizing courses. He handled the raw meat and hot plate like a pro. Our waiter was energetic and engaging, made us feel comfortable and made helpful suggestions. Only downside was that parking was an issue; we parked under a nearby building and it was a little complicated to get our car out.

Despite having a reservation shortly after the restaurant opened and numerous empty tables we had to wait 15 minutes before we were seated. After being seated it was another 15 minutes before anyone greeted us and asked for our drink orders. We were at a table with two burners - one heated very well and the other barely heated at all. This made the cheese course difficult as the cheese would not melt. It also made cooking our entree very time consuming. Service at the table was almost non-existent. After paying over $300 for a party of five (no alcoholic beverages were consumed) we expected more.

The seafood that was part of the prix fixe was flavorless and rubbery. Portions were much smaller than previous experiences here at well. Service was well below par - apparently because gratuity was included this evening @ 20%. (Slow to provide refills, slow to remove plates, very slow to bring the check.) I paid with cash and wasn't even provided the correct change in return. Had loved Melting Pot in the past. But, my visits will remain in the past - future outtings will be elsewhere.

As usual, food quality was good, but noticed a reduction in the portion sizes with the main fondue and desert. While I'll continue to enjoy the place from time to time usually for special occasions, I'll look to lower expectations. On the flip, with the smaller portions, I was able to move to the desert course, which is usually deferred. Please re-tune.

We came for the traditional cheese fondue, but found ourselves going for all 4-courses (cheese fondue, salad, soup fondue, and a chocolate fondue). Our server was great with decoding the menu options to fit our table's appetites. 4-course meal service for 3 adults with 1 cocktail totaled $150 and 3 hours. Doing it again, we would just do the cheese and/or chocolate. And also if you're in a time constraint, at least for us, the soup fondue took the longest. Really great for groups. And, it's a large space but they block it off so it's intimate enough. Tip: Go early (limited parking in the building) and skip the salad (opt for more refillable veggies with the cheese fondue). Oh, and expect to leave smelling like food.
