We got a Groupon deal for dinner and tried the meat entrees. Nothing to recommend. It's hard to tell if the meats, esp. the pork, are cooked, because we ordered coq au vin cooking style and in the dim light, we cannot see if the redness is from the soup or the meat. I'd like to try cheese and chocolate fondue next time. Hope they'll be better.

We decided to go out for a nice dinner to celebrate my daughter moving away and starting college. We received awful service from our waiter and he never once asked us if we were celebrating and didn't explain the menu at all. We even ordered an expensive bottle of champagne in which we had to pour ourselves. It was our first time at the Melting Pot so we had no idea what to expect. We were all very disappointed, especially spending a couple hundred dollars for mediocre service and having to basically serve ourselves. All I know is that I will never recommend the melting pot to any of my friends and I will probably never go back to try it again unless they make drastic changes.

No doubt a great place for some people but I didn't like the flavor of boiled meat... Cheese dips ok but in themselves not worth the $60.00 per person cost. Also took way too long for what it was, seats too low hurt the back, and not enough room to eat. 5 people $330.00 no thanks.

We truly enjoyed the first course and how the fondue was prepared at our table. The entree left a bit to be desired as it seemed the oil for cooking items in the various batter did not seem to be hot enough. The chocolate was very good. Sad they were out of the item to make the flaming turtle at the table, but over it was very good.

As we celebrated our anniversary, we felt this was the spot and it was! The bartender, Donald, was amazing and made us feel like we were his regulars. Our server, Kyle, was attentive and made the evening that much more fun. The food was good, not great but good - highly recommend if you are celebrating something special.

Upscale chain. Closest to the real Swiss Alps fondue experience in the USA. Beware of large portions, it is cheese/meat and very filling. You can often get by with ordering one meal and sharing it.

I was there with my husband for his birthday and i clearly asked you guys to make some special arrangements for the special occasion but I guess you guys did not get the memo and didn't do anything at all. I was not happy with this at all. It was also bit too chilly so the whole time I couldn't enjoy my self. Food was good that was the only good thing nothing else.

We held a party at the Bellevue location for 15 people at 8:30 pm. We were told we would get our own table in the back room but it only allows 12. So I had to ask a few guests not to come. When we got there the staff told us that the people who rented the room at 4 were still there so we had to sit at normal tables that could not be pushed together. I was very disappointed that our party could not sit together, I had asked a few people not to come when they could have actually come and I think it would have been okay to ask the party in our room to leave after they had been there 4.5 hours and I had the reservation weeks in advance. We did get a free birthday package and the birthday girl got a free meal which was nice. Food was only okay.

I have been a long-time Melting Pot fan. I used to frequent the original in Florida and have dined at several of the franchised restaurants since then. I have to say that I have seen a significant decline over the past few years. The portion sizes have gotten ridiculously small - especially given the fact that I am cooking my own food! This visit, my friend and I laughed at the size of the salads and the cheese serving. The main entrée was mediocre at best. The steak was so heavily peppered you couldn't taste the flavor of the meat. The chocolate fondue was delicious but again, SMALL. I used to walk out of the Melting Pot feeling stuffed and happy. This time, I left feeling like I would need a snack when I got home.

Plan on spending at least 2 hours for a 4 course meal. It's a great place to go with friends to chat or for a special date night. The food is great with the exception on the chicken, I'd skip out and substitute for more of everything else, it just isn't as good as the other meats. Overall I have always had a great experience and good food here.

Very over priced. My wife and I ordered the same meal and my plate looked like is was a toddler serving size. I don't think the cheese appetizer is worth $10 per person and being that you have to cook the food yourself on a skewer it takes time. The server never refilled our sodas and only once in the time we were there did he refill our water. We will not be growing back or recommending this place to anyone.

As usual, we had a great experience and will always go back. The service is always great and it is a a wonderful experience for a small/ mid size group or for a romantic couple. If you are looking for a more romantic setting, just make sue you request a booth and don't get seated near the front windows. Vehicle headlights will blind you during the evening hours. :) Again, we love The Melting Pot and will return time and time again.

We tried the restaurant because of friend's recommendations. It was for a birthday. I was very disappointed by the service. We were new to this style of dining and got very little direction and even less service. The food is highly over-priced for what you get. Even though I specified in my reservation that this was a birthday celebration, they sat us at a table in the middle of the room, traffic all around us, and then proceeded to ignore us a majority of the time. Very uncomfortable. The concept is great but this particular place was very disappointing.

I have always saved an evening out at The Melting Pot for special occasions. On this occasion, the experience was so poor that I found myself and my date sitting there thinking of all the ways we could have spent $250. The service was extremely poor, slow, inattentive and unprofessional. Last time I will go here!

Server was really friendly, but took him over 5 minutes (almost 10) to even get to our table and get drinks, and then every single thing after that was either crazy delayed or forgotten. It even took him forever to get the bill back to us, after we gave him the card. Unimpressive. The cheese fondue was awesome, even though they don't serve their most popular dish anymore (the Fiesta Cheese) - the rest of the food was sub-par. If you want to go there, I would recommend going to do cheese as a fun appetizer & then leave and go somewhere else for dinner. It's over priced and it way under delivers. The only awesome thing was the Bar Tender. He was prompt, friendly and made excellent drinks. Definitely the highlight of the evening.

The Melting Pot is a unique experience. The food we ordered was great. It's pricey, but fun to do once in a while when you need to celebrate something big. I also like that you don't have to order a main course. Our family just had the cheese appetizer and chocolate fondue dessert. Also offering a military discount is very nice of this chain.

Been dining here for over a decade and had a horrible experience this week. The best two cheese fondues are no longer on the menu (Wisconsin Trio & Fiesta). Tried the Classic Alpine instead as it has three different cheeses. We were served Swiss cheese only (which I hate). They said that was the Alpine Classic. I showed them the menu has three different cheeses and no Swiss cheese in this fondue. The manager and waiter had no idea that this fondue wasn't Swiss. They gave us a new cheese fondue per the menu description. The server spilled cheese in my daughter's water glass while mixing the fondue and never replaced the water. After nearly two hours we still had not received our salad course, so we left at that point to go eat elsewhere.

Its expensive, if you are paying for your family, but it is reasonable if you go out with friends and share the cost. I went for dinner with my family to celebrate my sister in law's b'day. We had Quattro Formaggio Cheese Fondue followed by Flaming Turtle Chocolate Fondue for dessert. Both are amazing. You can have extra refills for cheese fondue. Total was around 80 since we were 4 people. Overall, its good to go for occasions, but may be not the best idea if guests are around in town to visit Seattle, unless you have enough in your pocket. Last, but not the least, make sure you reserve a table before you reach there to avoid a long wait, even during weekdays. And if you still want to save money, go during happy hours.
