Diner Reviews
  • "Very over priced. My wife and I ordered the same meal and my plate looked like is was a toddler serving size. I don't think the cheese appetizer is worth $10 per person and being that you have to cook the food yourself on a skewer it takes time. The server never refilled our sodas and only once in the time we were there did he refill our water. We will not be growing back or recommending this place to anyone."

  • "The staff people were friendly and courteous. Each course of the dinner was very adequate. It was a new dining experience for the four of us. We enjoyed the variety of food during each course. We especially enjoyed the first course and the dessert course."

  • "As usual, we had a great experience and will always go back. The service is always great and it is a a wonderful experience for a small/ mid size group or for a romantic couple. If you are looking for a more romantic setting, just make sue you request a booth and don't get seated near the front windows. Vehicle headlights will blind you during the evening hours. :) Again, we love The Melting Pot and will return time and time again."

  • "We enjoyed the endless entree this past Tuesday. Great value and amazing food. We left stuffed but more importantly very satisfied."

  • "Good food and one hell of a wine list...but the beer selection is pretty limited. Only Stella Artois on tap. Service was good, our waitress brought our courses out in good time, but you could tell she was getting bored explaining the fondue every time, not a big deal."

  • "My kids love it here. I made my reservation through open table after the snippy hostess told me the first time I could get in was 45 min later. We were still seated late. Service was painfully slow but we were finally done 2.5 hours later. The children had a wonderful time and the food was fine."

  • "Food was great, super full couldnt eat another bite. Fun activity to cook and dip delicious bites while talking to family. Just wished waiter would have written order down instead of arrogantly think he could remember."

  • "We enjoyed our time at The Melting Pot. Food was great! The sauces were great, tasty!! Love the cheese and chocolate fondue!"

  • "The entry is not enough for an adult. Comparing with the restaurant in the same star level, the food is far less and more expensive."

  • "I wanted to try this restaurant for our "date night" without the kids. The Tuesday night "Endless Fondue" option was perfect to try four courses and to sample many of the entrees. Our server was very helpful teaching us about the process and cooking times. We both enjoyed our cocktails too. The dinner took about 2 hours, but it was worth it!"

  • "I can't be happier here with a groupon. I took my 17yo daughter there last night and we had so much fun eating and talking. I love dates with my daughter and this is the perfect place for it...a place where you can take a date, but is also very family friendly!"

  • "We tried the restaurant because of friend's recommendations. It was for a birthday. I was very disappointed by the service. We were new to this style of dining and got very little direction and even less service. The food is highly over-priced for what you get. Even though I specified in my reservation that this was a birthday celebration, they sat us at a table in the middle of the room, traffic all around us, and then proceeded to ignore us a majority of the time. Very uncomfortable. The concept is great but this particular place was very disappointing."

  • "I've been here a bunch of times, but my last visit was just a mess. The one before was also not awesome. I will definitely try it again since long term the track record of success still stands, but the newer staff is just not doing it."

  • "Server was really friendly, but took him over 5 minutes (almost 10) to even get to our table and get drinks, and then every single thing after that was either crazy delayed or forgotten. It even took him forever to get the bill back to us, after we gave him the card. Unimpressive. The cheese fondue was awesome, even though they don't serve their most popular dish anymore (the Fiesta Cheese) - the rest of the food was sub-par. If you want to go there, I would recommend going to do cheese as a fun appetizer & then leave and go somewhere else for dinner. It's over priced and it way under delivers. The only awesome thing was the Bar Tender. He was prompt, friendly and made excellent drinks. Definitely the highlight of the evening."

  • "The Melting Pot is a unique experience. The food we ordered was great. It's pricey, but fun to do once in a while when you need to celebrate something big. I also like that you don't have to order a main course. Our family just had the cheese appetizer and chocolate fondue dessert. Also offering a military discount is very nice of this chain."

  • "Been dining here for over a decade and had a horrible experience this week. The best two cheese fondues are no longer on the menu (Wisconsin Trio & Fiesta). Tried the Classic Alpine instead as it has three different cheeses. We were served Swiss cheese only (which I hate). They said that was the Alpine Classic. I showed them the menu has three different cheeses and no Swiss cheese in this fondue. The manager and waiter had no idea that this fondue wasn't Swiss. They gave us a new cheese fondue per the menu description. The server spilled cheese in my daughter's water glass while mixing the fondue and never replaced the water. After nearly two hours we still had not received our salad course, so we left at that point to go eat elsewhere."

  • "I took my best friend here for her birthday. They food was excipients, our waiter was informative and funny and the atmosphir was amazing. I would diff defiantly come back for a special occasion."

  • "Its expensive, if you are paying for your family, but it is reasonable if you go out with friends and share the cost. I went for dinner with my family to celebrate my sister in law's b'day. We had Quattro Formaggio Cheese Fondue followed by Flaming Turtle Chocolate Fondue for dessert. Both are amazing. You can have extra refills for cheese fondue. Total was around 80 since we were 4 people. Overall, its good to go for occasions, but may be not the best idea if guests are around in town to visit Seattle, unless you have enough in your pocket. Last, but not the least, make sure you reserve a table before you reach there to avoid a long wait, even during weekdays. And if you still want to save money, go during happy hours."

  • "Took a friend and his wife out for a birthday dinner. The place is clean and the people are very courteous. The food is really excellent. The dining experience is a couple of hours so if you are in a rush this is not the place."

  • "If you're on a diet, get ready to fall off the wagon because the food here is great and not particularly "lite." Our server was quick and well-educated, the fondues (we had the Swiss cheese for dinner and the chocolate for dessert) were outstanding, and the wine selection admirable. Thank you Melting Pot!!"

  • "It was a busy Friday night and only two or three waiters on staff had to handle all the tables, so the service wasn't very good. Our waiter was very nice and helpful, but he was also rushed and absent."

  • "We went to The Melting Pot for the first time and enjoyed it so much. There were many choices for the entre' which made it fun that we had 3 choices for our dinner. Then, we got to chose the broth we wanted to cook our meats in and had the plain vegetable broth. What a great choice! Also, the wait staff was so friendly. In all, a wonderful experience was had. Highly recommend the experience."

  • "Our waitress was friendly, if a bit slow. The entire meal took 2 hours and was expensive. Dinner for the two of us was $100 including tip. Food was good, but having to skewer and cook your own meat was an odd concept. We could not find any parking in the small area set aside for the Melting Pot and instead drove all around until finally found space at Office Depot and left the car in a lot with signs everywhere that there was "no walk away parking" and we would be towed, so I had that in my head much of the night."
    Dined on 6/10/2014
  • "the Melting pot is an excellence dining idea, but we found the cost far to expensive for the amount of food you receive and it isn't exceptional food, but average."
    Dined on 6/9/2014
  • " The place needs some cleaning, including the bathrooms. I guess it needs to be updated. Why black curtains over the walls is beyond me. I guess I don't want my meat to look GREY when I eat it. We should have tried the tempura/oil cooking method, not the broth. The only good part of our meal was the desert. Who doesn't like chocolate. Would I go back, No."

  • "I will never go back...the food was mediocre ...place was empty our waiter was great. "

  • "We had looked forward to a fondue dinner, which is something we have enjoyed in the past in other cities. We found the restaurant not very well maintained....tables not very clean, carpet had food stains, etc. The service was very amateurish and the server not very interested in whether we understood the menu options or the meal. The food was mediocre and it took ages for the cheese fondue and the cooking oil to heat to the appropriate temperature. Overall it was expensive and disappointing and we won't be returning. "

  • "I think it was in part our server, but we were there for 3 1/2 hours so I don't recommend if you're in a rush. It was okay but it was a school night so 7:45 dinner turned into 11:15. Our first time there for my 50th birthday. Plenty of food ordering 2-4 course meals and 1 extra entree (for 3 adults, 1 grandma (I separate her from adults because she doesn't eat as much as a "regular" adult) and a 5 year old). Nice place especially for a special event like this. Price was reasonable but not cheap. Manager very helpful and responsive. I for sure expect that I will go back. "

  • "This is a great restaurant for a change of pace. There are a variety of fondue possibilities here, from cheese, to soup stock, coq a vin, etc. There's a good variety of meats to choose from along with vegetables. The chocolate fondue is incredible and is worth the visit all by itself. The 4 course meal is a lot of food, so you might be better off choosing a lesser option. Overall, I recommend this for a fun night out. Kids will enjoy this as well. "

  • "I made reservations for mine and my boyfriends 1 year anniversary, and called to confirm that we were celebrating something special. When we got their, our special day was completely ignored! There was another couple sitting right behind us, also celebrating, and their server made it a point to make their day very special, even covering the table in rose petals. At the end of the meal, I requested the strawberries we had preordered (per request) and our server went back, and had them make the strawberries on the spot. As a result, they were all very soupy chocolate covered strawberries. We paid quite a bit of money for this meal, and I honestly expected a great experience along with the great food, and I was disappointed."

  • "We came in just for dessert for my daughter's 16th birthday and she was treated on the spot with her own plate with happy 16th birthday written in chocolate and a box of dipped strawberries to take home. "

  • "Would only recommend the chocolate fondue. The rest of the food has NO seasonings, and no flavor. Way overpriced!"
