The Melting Pot - Bedfordour melting pot experience.My husband and I went to the melting pot on May 13 for our first anniversary. We had been to the one in Sarasota Florida and love it. I just realized while using open table that there are melting pots in our area and was so excited. I must say, everything was perfect during our dining experience. The food, service, and ambience was outstanding. I had remember them from the old days and was curious what I would find on my return. The food was very good, actually well balanced and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The service was good and I most certainly will return.

Service was great, and even though we were 30 minutes late for our reservation we were seated right away.
Our server was friendly but not clingy, offered recipe tips for making fondue at home, and alternate drink suggestions when the bar was out of an ingredient for the drink I ordered.
Everything about my time there was wonderful. The menu has been revised, the pricing lowered, and we really thought the quality of the food was improved. The service was exemplary (Thank you Keira!) and we had a lovely evening. Previously, this was a restaurant my children chose for birthday celebrations, but after our meal last week, I would revisit more frequently. The leisurely pace is nice, but it did take us 2.5 hours to finish our four course meal. Not many restaurants give you the opportunity to be so involved in the preparation of your food, it is truly unique. Our waitress was very friendly and extremely helpful in our choices and how to properly cook the main course. When you get your food it never looks like enough, but the flavors, and the time to cook the food in the broth leaves you full before you finish. The restaurant is quite expensive, such that I wouldn't go but once a year on special occasions. But I think that on those occasions, given that it is more of an experience than just a meal, is certainly worth it3/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
